I too have been experiencing the same side effects listed by most of you. I have also been seeing a gastroenterologist for about 9 months now because of stomach issues. All symptoms point to gallbladder disease but the tests come back normal. I called my gyne today and they seem unconcerned with what I have told them and advised me to continue to take my pills until my annual visit in October. I'm done with this pack on Saturday and am thinking of going sans pills for the next month until my appt. Any advice on what pill I should switch to when I do see my dr.?

I've taken loratab for several different things, after Birth of my son, after gallbladder surgery, sinus infections and so on.. This may sound odd, and I will probably get alot of backlash on this issue.. But it makes me happy.. I would seriously like to see a doctor.. or even a pharmaceutical company hold a drug trial on how laratab can be used as an anti-depressant, I've suffered from depression almost all my life.. and have been on a plethera of anti-depressants, they always seem to work for the first month or so, and then "wear" off so to speak.. I have to either up my dose.. or change all together.. I don't have to do that with loratab

When I take it, I don't have any crazy side effects.. in fact just the oppisite.. I feel i have much more clearity, I'm happy and just have an all around "good" feeling. When at work.. I feel I give my co-workers and customers the best of my abilities.. and not to mention my home life.. I'm a better mother.. daughter.. sister.. and friend.. and what's really funny I don't have that "urge" perople say they get if addicted to a drug.. I can go for months without it and i'm fine.. but much better when i do have it..

I am so glad I heard about this site. I have had the mirena for almost 4 years. I thought I was doing great until reading all of these symptoms from other people. I have noticed a lot of weight gain, anxiety, swollen ankles and hands, very low sex drive, pain after intercourse, heart palpitations and stomach problems. On March 23, 2009 I was scheduled for gallbladder surgery, which I have canceled. I believe all of my gallbladder symptoms are related to the mirena. I have experienced pain in the ribcage, cold sweats, fatigue and even the butterfly feeling in my stomach. No matter how hard I try to get the weight off, it will not budge. I thought this was just because I have reached my 30's. The mirena is coming out in April, thank goodness for this website.

I suddenly had high blood pressure. I was put on a heart monitor for 21 days because I was experiencing frequent palpitations. I was given 25 mg Metoprolol ER the genic for Toprol XL on June 6, 2008. I had the usual symptoms extreme fatigue, headache, constipation, swelling, weight gain for the first month. I am 59 yrs. old.
The second month I started to have horrible nightmares, and headaches that would not go away. On Aug.12 while driving home I started to hear voices, had blurred vision and hallucinations. I was driving fast and screaming to make the voices stop.. I ended up in a parking lot. I was crying and for a minute I had a bit of reality. I called the cardiologist office and told the nurse what was going on. She said to immediately stop the meds because I was having a rare serious side effect. I sat crying for awhile and was able to call a friend to pick me up. I stayed at home for 4 days. The entire time my hands shook and my headache was horrible. It was one week before I was able to function properly.
I called my pharmacist and she told me that this drug affects the central nervous system. 2 % of 100,000 people have this side effect. I told her that it was not written on my paper with the prescription. She said that because it is so rare they do not have put it on. She printed out the side effects for me from her web site. A site that is only accessible to pharmacists or Dr.'s. My Dr. wants me to try Cardizeim now and I do not want to because I am afraid. I told him that the BP was down to normal but he still wanted to because of the palpitations. I was given the option of the Cardiziem or seeing and Electrical Man at the Cardiology office. As of yet I have not taken the Cardiziem. This is the first time I have read this web site and I hope that this information may help someone. I finally feel good again except for the rapid heart beat and glad to be alive.

I am 26 yrs old, my doctor prescribed levaquin 750mg for ten days before gallbladder surgery. I took this for three days and now I have muscle pain, I can hardly walk my arms back and legs hurt. I didn't have this before I took the medication. I looked it up on the computer to find that others are affected by this medication in simular ways. I am disgusted that they continue to prescribe this to others knowing the adverse reactions people have reported. When I read there have been fatalies in some that scared me. I feel this needs to be removed from the market, Look at what happened to the people that took Vioxx it is time for us to take a stand together. It is obvious that the Pharmacutical companies are not looking out for us nor our doctors if they know the side affects and continue to prescribe it.

I started taking lisinopril 10mg after a full physical revealed nothing othere than slightly elevated BP. At my 3 weeks follow-up it was increased to 20mg. I had developed a dry cough and the general feeling of tiredness all day. At 6 wks HCTZ was added due to no significant drop in my BP. Exactly one week after starting the HCTZ I was back in the Dr's office with horrible flu symtoms and sent immediately to the emergency room. I was admitted in acute liver failure, jaundiced, and near coma elevated ammonia levels. I was fortunate to have a GI specialist called in that had seen this exact scenerio in a former patient and started testing and treatment right away.
He stated that this is a documented occurence to Lisinopril with the combination of HCTZ in at least 25 patients.
I was hospitalized for 13 days and have been out of work for 7 weeks. I have gallbladder surgery scheduled for next week and have a treatment plan established for the next year to cover the damage to my liver, kidneys, and bladder.
My recover is progressing and my liver is recovering rapidly. I am not able to take any medicaitons at this time due to the liver and will start treating the other organs as soon as the liver functions are within normal range.
I would make sure that anyone thinking of taking Lisinopril know the possible effects and follow up very closely with the Dr. about any symptoms.
