I had horrible, horrible pains in my intestines from taking metronidazole 500 mg 1 pill 2 times daily. i felt like i was going to die and so far the pain has lasted for an hour. I have taken this before and it did the same thing. It’s a horrible drug. You’re better off using natural things such as garlic pills and apple cider vinegar baths.

I have been on Lisinopril for 2 days now (20mg). I do not like the way it makes me feel. I feel dizzy and my hands are swelling up. Doc says I had a heart attack and I was not aware of it. There has to be something better than this BP med... I think I am going to start taking Garlic pills.

This is an update. I have stopped Lisinopril 4 days ago. By the way I forgot to mention that I did experience hair loss after being on 20 mg since February, Hairloss started end of May, which of course made me anxious to the point I did not want to take a shower anymore or wash my hair!! So this is when I started on Zoloft, which I have taken for the past five years, but only 25 mg every other day. This was keeping my worrying in check and was all I needed. But since February after starting Lisinopril my friend mentioned that I seemed to start worrying about every little thing and she does not even recognize my usual upbeat self. So then when the hair loss started I thought it was all in my head and went to the counselor and upped my Zoloft to 100 mg a day. Then in June my doctor said 10 mg of Lisinopril would be enough and sure enough, my hair loss stopped after about two weeks. I thought it was due to the Zoloft, that I just did not count my hair anymore, but now reading all the side effects I realize that I was not crazy at all! What a relief! So since Monday no more Lisinopril and Zoloft down to 25 mg for the past week. Last night was the first night I only woke up once really short, noticed a rapid heart beat, but only in my heart area, not all over my body, and went back to sleep. I also experienced on Lisinopril those vivid dreams which I woke up from and felt emotianally drained. I do take a Multivitamin, garlic pills and twice a day a table spoon of apple cider vinegar. So far my blood pressure is about 125 over 80 and instead of waking up with a pulse of 95, it went down this morning to about 84. I feel more energetic and in general way more upbeat. I hope I will keep feeling better and I am glad I did research on all those medications. It made me want to come off all meds and try natural approach, diet and more exercise.
I will keep you updated.

THIS SIDE UP! Okay. I left my first message last week. I have cut my dosage in half. I think lot of people are trying to see what happens when you go off of it. I think I read the half life of Liprino is 30 days. I dropped from 20 mg to 10 mg. I still have a lot of fatique and aching in my thights. I lost maybe 15% of my total exhustion. I have very bad dry eye, that might just be a little better. I know some of this may be coinceidental...time will tell. I do have faster blinking and eye movement. Less dizziness, maybe about 50% less dizzines. Seems to have less brain fog also. I have taken this stuff since about 1999 if I recall. I will be taking half a dose for a few weeks. My blood pressure has not even gone up. I am taking lots of garlic pills and relaxed breathing exercises. I will try to log in weekly. Just look for THIS SIDE UP!

hi silke,
dehydration and anxiety are definately linked, when the body is lacking something it switches on it's emergeny mechanisms to survive so it is quite possible that valuable vitamins and minerals are used up in this emergency state. As yasmin has a strong diuretic effect it is not surprising that anxiety etc gets worse. As you were on it for so long i imagine most of your stores were used up a long time ago. i carry a bottle of water with me wherever i go,i am never without one! i drink at least 2.5 litres of water a day. like you i also take magnesium as it seems to help. i take evening primrose oil for pms, garlic pills for good blood circulation, omega 3,6,9 oil for the brain and nerves and calcium to balance the magnesium! it all seems to help me. The other thing that gets me through it all is the faith that i will be back to my old self and hopefully stronger than before. i am still having trouble with agoraphobia which appeared when my panic attacks came on but i am doing my best to get over with the power of positive thinking! I am hoping that now my periods have returned that nature will take over and get my body back to normal! the memories of this nightmare will take longer to heal though i think. best wishes to you silke,i really hope that the water and magnesium work for you and that you soon feel better than ever.

Been taking statins for several years and have put up with the muscle aches and general feeling of unwellness for some time now. Took myself off Lipitor 20 mg dose this week after having investigated side effects. Why does it take years of people suffering through these side effects, poisoning their body for someone to come up with a better, less toxic drug. My mother has been on statins much longer than I and has all of the classic symptoms:hair loss, tinnitus, weakness, muscle pains, loss of balance, pains in her head so sharp she says it's like someone's sticking a knife into her. Unfortunately, she comes from a different generation that doesn't dare go against her Drs. advice and will probably suffer these side effects to her grave.
Looking now for an alternate, with my family history of cardiac problems, thought I was doing something good for myself by taking Lipitor. Started taking garlic pills but would welcome any safe alternatives.

Wow!!! I was on Advair for 6 days when I got what I thought was indigestion that would not go away but it was in my throat. I mentioned to the doc that I was fine before the Advair and medrol pack (asthma attack) but was given Reglan and told to take Pepcid twice a day and sent for an upper GI series. The GI series was fine. I slept upright, stopped the coffee, soda, tomato products, downed Tums and Mylanta but nothing helped. Stopped the Advair and saw the doctor the next day. Again told the doc I was fine before the Advair, on Advair for 2 weeks and my throat was checked this time. White blisters!! On Nystatin and now lozenges. My throat stills feels horrible after a week on these meds. Added Acidophilus, Garlic pills, CoQ10 and waiting to feel better. NEVER, NEVER take Advair.

Except for having high cholesterol (310), I'm a 29 yr old healthy active female, very petite and weigh 98lbs. My mother has had a quadruple bypass and 4 stents at the age of 54, high cholesterol is just hereditary in my family. My doctor put me on 40 mg of zocor. The first week taking zocor I started feeling strange, a little soar here and there and very tired at times, also I have become very forgetful. It's been almost 2 months now and I have severe pain in my legs. First it was the right leg and now both legs, the pain starts at my lower back all the way down to my cav. I have a burning painful feeling sometimes numbing feeling, its driving me crazy!!!! I can't stand for too long cause I feel tons of pressure on my lower back pushing down my legs, It feels like my sciatic nerve. I went to my doctor and he said he is 95% sure that this is from the zocor medication, he told me to stop it right away. This is my first day without it, I know I need to do something to prevent what happen to my mother, I'm on a strict healthy diet, staying away from all fatty cholesterol filled foods, but there has to be a better way then taking statin drugs! If anyone has some ideas of what kind of alternative meds I can take, please help.
