Gas pain symptoms and conditions

I have had Mirena since Oct. 2007 and ever since have had frequent yeast and bacterial infections. Also my stomach has these gas pain attacks where I feel like I am going to die, it hurts all the way up my back and feels like a huge ball of air is trapped in my stomach. I also have pain all the way up both sides of my chest as this happens. I never made a connection to the mirena just thought I had some weird problem. My strings also disappeared and I had to pay nearly 300 just to make sure the thing was still in there. I was told if he can't get them he will need to do a surgical procedure to remove it- great and I got this to avoid surgery of have tubes tied! I have also been moody, depressed, no sex drive and when I had strings they poked my husband and made sex difficult. I spot constantly and I too have ruined all my panties from this brown old blood that comes out unexpectedly. My husband insists that I have it removed and after seeing that I am not alone in what I am experiencing I am going to see my doctor as soon as he opens. I have been up most the night with one of those gas pain attacks and I am miserable! I recently have been feeling as though something is kicking me in my intestine or stomach area too and I too look pregnant all the time and in fact the 20lbs that I need to loose is all belly! Hi I have just tried to go back onto Yasmin and feel absolutely terrible, I feel very down, moody, nausea, and a lot of gas pain especially in rib area. Going to go back to the Doctors today.
The reason I started Yas was to improve my skin and regulate my periods I so have PCOS. I had previously been on Yasmin before and had no problems. I don't know if they have changed the ingredients?
I hope the Doctor doesn't think I am mad!!

This in my experience has been one of the worst pills i've ever been on. It caused me to have horrible gas pain through out the month, then if it wasn't that i was always picking fights with everyone, and then crying about it 2 seconds later. I was constantly in an unhappy mood and was either angry or upset for most the day. I would sleep about 10 hours and still be tired when i got up. The pill made my periods worse, i would cramp so bad i'd curl in a ball and fall asleep. It also made my period last longer than usual. I was on the pill for 3 months and couldn't take anymore. I thought it would get better the next month but all it did was got worse each time. I asked many of my friends about their experience with this pill and they all refered to it as the "maniac pill". But it just gave me a bad impression of this pill.

I had been on other statin drugs and experienced severe muscle pain in my arms. After going off the RX's the pain went away. Now my MD prescribed Welchol 4 months ago. I didn't focus on any side effects until I read all of these logs. I've been having severe pain in my knees, but it seemed to have subsided since I started using moist heat on them. The gas pain that I also have been experiencing I just chulked it up to getting older and taking fish oil. I wish I would have read these logs before I filled a 3 month supply of the drug. Now I don't know what to do. The Welchol seems to be working, but now I'm on the fence about the drug.

I had MIRENA inserted after my son was born almost two years ago. I was so excited to not have to deal with taking a pill or having to worry about anything at all. Well, after a year, finally my period got under control and i only have gross looking spotting for a few days every month. But, I think that it is causing some serious problems. My fiance and I had sex yesterday and the pain that came to me afterwards was absolutely unbearable. I was curled up in a ball screaming and we considered taking me to the hospital...my problem is I no longer have health insurance. The pain I felt was like a terrible gas pain and felt like there was a knife that was tearing into my cervix. I can't seem to lose any weight, and I feel like shit EVERY day. Has anyone had that knife stabbing pain I am talking about? I just want to make sure I'm not the only one. We are paying out of pocket to have this removed as soon as possible.

I have been SO EXHAUSTED ever since I had my Mirena put in (almost 2 months now). I have a toddler at home and am a single mom, so sure there is already a propensity to be tired, but not like this. I find myself unable to stay awake - I lay down any chance I can, and I sleep in a fog that feels similar to when you're sick and just so "out of it" that you can't imagine being fully awake anytime soon.

Besides that, LOTS of lower back pain, gas pain, abdominal pain. Also, my periods, though much lighter, last FOREVER...10 or more days, and they come whenever they choose, there is no rhyme or reason.

Anyone else feeling extremely tired?? It was so painful to have put in, and I was so looking forward to lighter periods (mine were terribly heavy before) that I'm hesitant to take it out and just keep hoping my side effects go away. Ugh.

Hello! My name is Tyra from Chicago. I started using Nuva Ring 4 months ago. I notice a week before I begin bleeding, I started to have bad gas problems, sometime I get such a bad gas pain in my stomach I couldn't barely move,unable to sleep and missed work. I have no sex drive, I do not want to have sex at all; when I do, it's so painful and got alot of burning sensations afterward. Sometime I feel disoriented, confused and slightly depressed. The ring is causing all of these symtoms. I am going to have to discontinue using this. One thing I will miss is having light and short period, but I rather bleed longer and heavier in exchange to my old self back! I am just going to go back to same old condoms..my boyfriend will have to compromise.

I am on my 3rd day with lisinopril and I have sharp, acute gas pain that is keeping me awake. It is 12:39 am and I cannot sleep as the pain keeps waking me up. The first two days it was just loose bowels and horrendous, smelly gas and now this. I have a slight cough, but nothing annoying. Is there something else out there for hypertension that is not so hard on the system?
