MY LITTLE GIRL HAS BEEN ON SINGULAR FOR A WEEK AND EACH DAY SHE HAS GOTTEN A LITTLE BIT CRABER AND DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO KG.WHICH SHE LOVES OR DANCE CLASS .TWO DAYS AGO SHE WOKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND SAID HER EAR HURT, SO I GAVE HER SOME TYLENOL AND AFTER 1HR AND HALF SHE WENT BACK TO SLEEP.FRI. NIGHT SHE WAS ON THE FLOOR NEXT TO HER BED SCREAMING AND CRYING LIKE SHE WAS HAVING A NIGHT TERROR (SHE HAD THOSE ALL THE TIME WHEN SHE WAS LITTLE BUT HAS OUT GROWN THEM) SHE KEPT SAYING SHE WANTED TO GO HOME AND HER ARM HURT ,I GOT HER TO GO BACK TO SLEEP AND HOUR LATER SHE WAS UP SCREAMING AGAIN.TODAY SHE GOT UP AT 8 AND WAS LAYING ON COUCH BY 9:30 SLEEPING WHEN SHE WOKE UP SHE HAD 102.3 FEVER AND I KNOW NOW THAT IT IS THE MED. BECAUSE WHEN OUR THEN 2YR OLD (NOW 3) WAS PUT ON THIS MED. HE GOT A FEVER AND HUGE SORES ON HIS TOUNGE AND WAS COMPLETLY MISARABLE THE DOC.KEPT SAYING THAT HE HAD MONO AT 2 NOT. I TOOK HIM OF THE MED. AFTER I FIGURED OUT THAT WAS WHAT IT WAS AND HE HAS BEEN FINE SINCE .I SHOULD OF NEVER LET THEM PUT MY 6 YR. OLD LITTLE GIRL ON IT .

I was given Aveloz with Predisone for sinuitis...I was having no symtoms but a MRI Then 2 CT's showed bad infections in sinus.

Day 2 3 hours after taking I saw gold sparks fly off the back of my friends dog has he came out a doggie door. I said oh wow your dog just got shocked. She was like no she didn't. I got in my car to go home it was dark and my left eye began to rapidly flash white light. I drove one 1/2 mile and my visison was blurred with numerous floaters. I called my insurance company and they told me to get to the ER. The er Doctor told me not a side effect as I suspected but my retina had detached. HE said go home and lay flat and go directly to Eye, Ears, Throat Doctor expecting to have laser eye sugery in the am.

I did go to the Eye specialist and he said I was fortunate that just the gel wall collasped in the back of my eye. He said it is not the drugs...aging happens to everyone. I just knew better.

I took the meds a different time yesterday and had a similar worsening experience.

Today I was on the phone and all of a sudden was in a deep brain fog. Words would not come out of my mouth. I knew I was trying to talk but it was like my brain was detached and was not letting the words come to me.

I am suppose to take this 15 days, refill and take 15 more days. Come back for an MRI ..then take 15 more days.

I am not sure what to do now.

I called manufacturer of drug and they took report and said "we will report to FDA." Also took my information and doctors phone, fax and address and name.

On September 28th, I mentioned that I had an appointment to have the Mirena removed and that I would share my experience after removal. Well, I had my Mirena removed last Friday. NO PAIN. I took a Vicaden right before I was to have it removed and I felt no pain.

My physician held it up to me as I was on the table and asked if I wanted to keep it. I told her that I did not even know she took it out. As for taking it home......NO WAY, that little thing caused me so much trouble in the past 2 months, I don't want a reminder of all the pain.

Went to a concert the same day it was removed as well as the next day. I then went to the L.A. County Fair on this past Sunday. Everything was fine with light bleeding still. When I woke up Monday morning, I was soaked with blood. I cleaned up, put on a tampon and maxi pad then 1 hour later, I was soaked through again. That went on all through the day on Monday. It is now Tuesday morning, I woke up bleeding and went to work. The last time I checked my tampon, there was very little blood. I sit at a desk at work so I don't have to move around so much. I guess I just did too much activity after removal. So I will take this week off from the gym and go home and relax and hopefully the bleeding will stop completely.

Hi again, I posted on the 12th and the 15th I was on Yas for a week, noticed a bad change of moods etc.
well here's the time line....
I got my period on Saturday Aug. 4th and started the pill on the 5th. I stopped taking it the 13th or 14th So I was on it for 8-9 days. Well I am spotting heavily and have major cramps which all started the 17th. And while reading the new posts and seeing how people are complaining about migraines I REALIZE ME TOO! I got a migrane on Thursday night the 16th at work. At first I thought it was due to lack of sleep, work or having had taken a late lunch.... fine I go home go to bed. Wake up early still had the migrane but went back to sleep since I didn't have to be at work until late. Headache was gone when I woke up again. But I've been feeling a little discomfort in my head very slight. I's like a ball was rolling around in there and any sudden movement would hurt a little as if the ball bounced against the walls. Anyway today the migraine came back full force same place. Right side of my head like a pin has been inserted from the back to the middle of my right eyebrow. Has anyone been feeling like this? And I am spotting and have very very bad cramps. I dont know whats going on if it's me having a bad week or if it has anything to do with this damn pill. Anyway thats it, sorry if I'm rambling a bit I am having a very hard time trying to express myself with my head pounding.

I was on NR in the early 2003... I was on it for like a week, if I recall it was a short time.... They doc placed me on it because of slow hormone release into my blood stream, before that I was on Yasmin, and had no issues, other then being very moody.... With in the first five days I was very sick, I had breathing issues, coughing, nausea, and every bad eye sight..... This was on a saturday, I had went to the doctor that very morning and he told me I just had a cold, need to go home take it easy and take meds... So I went home, was on the couch, taking the meds he gave to me, when all of sudden I couldnt breath, had very very very heavey chest, strong chest pains and I thought I was dying.... My mother was with me, she called the doc, and he said it could had been a reaction to the meds, just dont take anymore, if I am not better go to the ER.... By that night, was not able to breath at all, walking from the tv to the couch was not even possible, I actually thought I was dying... then during all of this, I began to get this deep pain in my inner thigh of my right leg... By Monday, the leg was HUGE, three times the size it should be... I was still not able to breath, I thought I was dying... I went to ER on Monday, they found nothing wrong with me.... Sent me back home.... This kept going on, and getting worse, they knew I couldnt breath but we didnt know why, they checked my heart and it was fine... So I went all week long, with this issue my leg just kept swelling bigger, and breathing was worse... By thursday, I was back to ER.... the Doc on duty, found the issue... I had a DVT, that was in my leg, and it was in my lung at this time.. was not sure if more was going to follow or what, but he said my body is not wanting to adjust to this, and is trying to shut down... I was to stay very still, and tell him everything I had and was taken in meds.... I told him about the cold meds that I had taken, but then he asked me about birth control, I told him, I had the Nuvaring in as we speak... he told me to pull it out, and NEVER use it again... I did.. and I was rushed to a larger Hospital, where the fight for my life began.... By the time I got there I had blood sugar over 380.. My body was not working right, I couldnt breath, I was dying... My body would not take any blood thinners, meds or anything, I smelled like death, they moved me to a private room, due to the smell.... I was vomiting, had major loose stool, and was not able to wear any clothes for a period of about two days... the doc there at the hospital told my family it would be a miracle if she pulls thru this, or even if she does, if she can keep the leg, (it was blocked 98% and was turning purple).... Her life will never be the same, and she has a very very high risk of this again, if not death in the near furture, she will have to be on blood thinners for the rest of her life.... to make a long story very short, I am still alive, of course, and I kept the leg, it swells from time to time, I actually walk on it, wear 3 inch heels and live as normal of a life as I can... July of 03 they were going to take the leg, and I asked the doc if he could just wait, I was determined to keep it... and I did... they said I would never be able to wear heels again, it was at that time my foot was a size 12 and my other foot was an 8.... But I beat the odds... I cannot and would never take Birth Control again, I cannot have children due to the risk of dying, have to live on blood thinners for the rest of my life... This was caused by the Nuvaring.... I had no blood issues, did not smoke nor drink, and I was very active.... PLEASE PLEASE dont use this device! READ everything you can! PLEASE, Blood clots dont care who you are or what you do.... It can happen to anyone! If you have had issues with this device, contact me at******. I would like to hear your story, and would hope you would join me in making women know what the outcome can be.... I am now 36, and I live everyday as tho it could be my last...WE are not promised anything, so the next time you use any form of Birth Control. please, be careful! I have never been married, and was told I cannot have children and of course I didnt have any before all of this happen... This device changed my future, dont let it change the people you love! I have been taking adderall for over a year, but for about 10 months ago, I started taking wellbutrin also and since have had chronic problems with my ears, It's actually getting worse. Not so much ear infections, but the pressure is actually pushing inward. So i feel light headed just funky all day. Kind of like a head cold without the cold. I can't figure out which one is causing (i think wellbutrin) since that's when it began. But it could be the combination. Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this. I am 35 female.

I took this drug for 2 days, and then stopped due to sleeplessness, agitaiton, and extreme congestion even when I took it with the water, like the script said!! I am never taking this again, and will throw away the rest of my full bottle, so I don't make the same mistake twice!
I tried to go back to work today after a 5 day abscence due to my previous flu, and then had to go home again just for the side effects of this medicine. I couldn't function and even think straight. I felt just like a tiger pacing in it's cage all day.....
And I have never in my life felt so out of control and agitated, even drivng a car was bad!
In short, I will try other remedies for my congestion.....

Here is my story. I used OrthoTriCyclen Lo for over a year...no side effects and nothing was wrong. I decided to switch to Yasmin because it was cheaper and I was told that a lot of women were on it.
Needless to say, its been about a month since I've been on it and I feel horrible. I have such bad stomach cramps and bloating. It feels like I don't eat anything and I still have to run so fast to the bathroom. I called the GYN and she told me that it could be a virus or an upper GI infection. BUT, the thing is that I do not get sick that often. I barely get side effects with any medication I take. Yasmin is the first BCP that I have had side effects with. I guess I have to prove the GYN wrong. I know that it is a side effect and not a hallucination or virus/infection.
I constantly feel dehydrated and irritable. I also have a mild case of depression. I just don't want to talk to anyone and I feel sad. I go home after work and I will just sit there quietly and my mother always thinks that something is wrong. Sometimes I feel like crying but for no apparent reason.
Maybe this is a sign for me to stop. I guess I will have to go back to OrthoTriCyclen Lo since it worked great for me...
Maybe I should listen to my own advice...

I am a 20 year-old male and was prescribed 500 mg. Levaquin for a sinus infection. I have about 5 or so a year, so this was no unordinary occurence. I had actually taken Levaquin before.

I took one pill at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. By 11 that night, I had broken out with bruises on about a third of my body. The next day I went to the ER, and they claimed to have never seen a reaction like this before, so since my vitals were fine, they told me to go home and wait it out. Since then, the bruises have started to fade (and itch like a wild beast) but my right hip has swelled and was very painful. It is now three days after taking THE ONE PILL, and the hip is starting to get better, but my heart has been fluttering/palpatating like crazy on and off. If it doesn't go away soon, I'll have to get it checked out again.

Up until this time, I'm a very healthy individual. I had arthritis in high-school, but it has gone into remission. I'm glad i stopped taking the Levaquin after the first time, but am now worried about the heart developement--It has made sleeping difficult and day-time life rather uncomfortable. I wish i had read some of these blogs before I took the medicine.

IN short, don't take this stuff unless you need too. I've never had a reaction to a medication in my life, but this caused one. In the meantime, my sinus infection is raging on.

The devestating side effects from statin drugs are now a world wide problem. Still, many physicians are uneducated about these side effects, and this ignorance has only served to badly tarnish the image of physicians. If you are a physician reading this and you prescribe statins. And you are unaware of the toxicology of these drugs, then on behalf of all victims of this drug, please educate yourself or SHUT DOWN YOUR PRACTICE AND GO HOME!

4 years ago I was prescribed Compazine for nausea. I went to work and then had to leave because I began to feel extremely "high". When I called my mother I began to drool a little and thats when I got worried. When I got home I took a shower and while I was getting dressed I felt worst. I called my brother upstairs and right then and there is when I was unable to open my mouth and my tongue was numb, I had lockjaw. He rushed me to the doctor where I was given a shot of benadryl and was told to go home and take OTC benadryl. I was in a deep sleep for 23 hours when I got home. SCARY!

In August, I had been put on Yasmin because of Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometreosis.

The week before my first period, I could hardly get out of bed! No energy, upset stomach, bleeding (every day), painful cramping, and all I wanted to do was sleep.

I didn't take the inactive pills the following week, and even though I had my period (which was very painful and heavier than usual), I felt better than I had in a long time!

Yesterday, I started back on them and already today I am cramping so bad that I want to leave work and go home and lay down. I'm wondering if I should call my doctor to be switched to another pill.

Also, I was reading about other side affects and I'm worried. I alreay take two different kinds of anit-depressants and an anti-anxiety medication. HELP!!!

Incredible weakness, back pain, tinnitus.
During surgery for sinus disease, had levaquin administered through iv with general anesthesia. I was supposed to go home in the afternoon, but couldn't walk or even talk coherently. Intense back pain followed along with difficulty hearing and pains in shoulders as well. My tongue was thickened and I had trouble talking for three days. Today I saw the doctor and he feels that leviquin caused the problems. The back pain and speech problems are slowly disappearing. This drug is dangerous to anyone who is sensitive or allergic to medications. I once went into shock from three compazine tablets, and had to have adrenalin administered, so I know how very powerful medications can be.

I took Singulair with Allegra this morning at work (Allegra was prescribed a day or so ago), and I got so spaced out and dizzy that I had to go home and sleep it off. I called the Pharmacist and asked if she knew of any interaction problems and she concurred that the two could cause light-headedness. BEWARE of this combination! And after reading this site, I'm not taking the Singulair anymore... not worth it.

After five weeks of taking singulair-sinus infections after sinus infection, ear aches, bad sore throat, upper respiratory infection, shortness of breath,hard time sleepn... I am at college and I am sick of being sick. I am going to tell my doctor that I do not have time for this! I questioned whether or not to go home to see if i just need good rest and time off. I thought i might have monno because i am feeling extremely fatigue and have swollen glands. I actually still have all these symptoms. Now that I have knowledge of what all of my sickness is most likely from, I think I will try stop taking this GREAT pill called singulair!!!! ....I want to tell everyone to not trust doctores when they tell you how great this drug is your going to take

In June of 2003, I went to the Dr. for sinus infection syptoms and weakness. I have never been seriously ill in 60 years.
She prescribed 500mg of Levaquin.
After taking the first pill, I woke up on the bathroom floor with a bath mat around me , disoriented. The Dr, advised me to go to the ER. The ER Dr. said to take only 1/2 a tablet and go home; I did so and ended up in the ER the next day in a coma that was life-threatening. The diagnosis was bacterial spinal meningititious, I recovered but never tied it to the drug.
A year later, I went to another Dr. for a checkup and was feeling fine. He suspected some prostatitous and prescribed Levaquin. I took it for 5 days and then became unsteady on my feet, with a tendency to almost fall to the left when I walked. I began to drag my left foot slightly. I went to the ER. The ER Dr. took me off Levaquin.
During the hospital stay, the Dr. administered an MRI and declared that I had a small stroke on the right brain (thallamus area). It has been a few days since hospital
discharge,and my walking has improved. I am concerned about the coincidents that have occurred with my taking Levaquin.
Does anyone know of brain problems that may be associated with taking Levaquin?
I am not an alarmist, but I am concerned about this drug.

It's been seven days since I took my last of five doeses of 500 mgs. of levaquin.

Still have racing heart, muscle aches and pain.

I've been to the dr and the er - they just say go home and wait it out.

Does anyone have an idea of how long this will last, and has anyone completely recovered?

I was prescribed this drug for an upper respiratory infection. I definitely couldn't stay at work after taking it & had to go home! Felt light-headed, dizzy, but it did make the cough go away and has helped me sleep. I've been taking it for a week now and somedays I experience an annoying headache that lingers around all day. It does the job, but I would definitely recommend staying home if you're gonna take this drug.

All I have to say is "just say NO" these are the worst bcp's I have ever taken! I have the worst migraine of my life for the past 2 weeks. Not to mention the dizzyness and having to go to the bathroom every 5 mins and bleeding during your periods. I have never felt anything like this in my life. I wish I had never started these pills. The moodswings are terrible, Im sure everybody at work hates me because of me being so crabby and always having to leave early to go home and go to bed. I thought they were supposto help. If anybody know how long after you stop taking these pills that the symptoms will go away and maybe I could get rid of these headaches please e-mail me at italianpryncs@comcast.net. Oh yea, forget ever having sex again because you are either sick, moody or you will have no drive at all.

I have always like Levaquin until last night. I had bronchitis 10 days before my last attack of bronchitis and Pleurisy. Both times my Pulmonary Specialist has given me Levaquin. I accidentially forgot to take the 10th dose. ( skipped a day) and took it yesterday 6-6-03. I became so weak. I had trouble getting my breath, was very weak ==walking a few steps felt as if the oxygen was cut off to my legs and arms. I turned very pale and experienced tingling in my fingers and toes.
My husband took me to a walk=in clinic - they sent us to the ER. The doctor there wanted to give me Anxiety pills. I refused. I explained I was not suffering from stress. I had a normal day. He ran all the test. Results - no clot, no pneumonia. He checked my blood for possible heart attack. All enzymes were normal. Potassium in normal range - but low side of normal. He told me to go home and drink some gatorade. The doctor said - there might be a side effect of Levaquin - "I haven't looked it up" He wrote me up as anxiety and unknown cause." I fully believe what I had last night was an Levaquin reaction. Today 6-7-03 I still feel tingling in my fingers and toes - I am still pale - but I am not as weak.
