I lterally just starting taking Yasmin today. I used to take Tri-phasil, but found it just wasn't keeping my mood in check over the last 6 months, not to mention I was suddenly getting 2 periods a month. So, I stopped taking the pill for a month, and after seeiong ads for YAZ ended up with Yasmine after visiting my Dr.
My questions for the ladies with symptoms of anxiety and mood swings: Did you not have these symptoms before starting the pill? If so, are you saying that Yasmin made them worse?
Also, I would be curious to find lout what BC pills you NOW use, and how the hormone dose compares to Yasmin. The Tri-phasil I used to take was stronger than Yasmin. If I begin to feel any side effects using Yasmin, I will have to assume that I just need something stronger and will begin with Tri Phasil again.

It has been six weeks since I was given Lupron. My doctor did not inform me of all of the possible side effects. I don't think I would have taken it had I known of all of the possible side effects.
I was given it to shrink my fibroid and stop my heavy period that was causing me to be anemic. Since I have been on it I have one heavy period that last seven days and stopped...only to have it return two days later and last twelve days...so much for it stopping my period. Compare to some my other side effects have been mild...I think since I can't seem to remember much.Besides the memory loss I have had headaches, hot flashes mood swings, joint pains at night and there are times when I just feel confused unable to express myself.
My next shot is schedule for November...I not think that is going to happen

MY SON WAS A VERY ENERGETIC TEN YEAR OLD UNTIL HE STARTED THE ADVAIR DISKUS NOT EVEN A MONTH AGO. ALL OF A SUDDEN HE IS HAVING CRYING SPELLS AND IT SEEMS THAT HE IS STRUGGLING WITH WORRY. JUST TODAY HE HAD TO TALK TO THE COUNSELLOR AT SCHOOL. THIS IS VERY UNUSUAL FOR HIM. HE USUALLY HAS NO PROBLEM WITH GOING TO SCHOOL. HE IS AFRAID SOMETHING BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO HIS FATHER. ALSO, HE HAS STARTED ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER- EVEN THOUGH WE ANSWER HIM VERY CLEARLY. THUS HE STARTS TO WORRY AND BECOME UPSET. IT IS AS IF HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND. COULD HE BE STARTING TO STRUGGLE WITH OCD ALSO? WHATEVER IT MAY BE, I AM STOPPING HIS ADVAIR IMMEDIATELY. THIS MEDECINE IS DRAGGING MY SON DOWN.

I received a Kenalog injection in December '06 to provide relief from an allergic reaction. My doctor did NOT inform me of any possible side effects other than drowsiness. Two months later a small dipple formed where the shot was given. I had no idea what it was and just assumed it was a part of getting older (I'm 30). When it began to get deeper, I became extremely worried. It has now been 6 months and the dimple has turned into a very large indentation. I still did not put two and two together and did not think it could have been caused by the steroid injuection. I visited my doctor, the same one who administered the shot in December, to find out what this could possibly be. He said he had no idea!! And even suggested it could be cancer!!!! I came home upset, obviously, thinking I was very sick, possibly even dying!! My sister did some research and found this site, and I am so relieved. But now I am angry at my doctor for not warning me of this possible side effect at the time of the shot AND then diagnosing it as a possible cancer!!! So now I am left with this deformity on my butt and a profound feeling of helplessness. Someone please tell me actions you have taken that have worked, both legally and physically. Will this go away?!?

I got the Kenalog shot 4 months ago and I have had irregular menstrual bleeding ever since. I had an almost constant period. Now I have started birth control pills to try to control the bleeding. That works, but I hate the way they make me feel, plus my husband and I would like to have another baby....so this certainly doesn't help. I was informed of the possible muscle side effects, but not this. If I would have known this was going to happen, I wouldn't have got the shot.
Does anyone know how long this will last or how long Kenalog stays in your system? I tried going off the pills this week and the bleeding came back.

I took Yasmin for a number of years with no side effects, actually with beneficial side effects, of making my periods more manageable (the pills helped reduce hot flashes, nausea and cramps). Then I tried to go off by transitioning onto a lower dose pill, but had some side effects, and went back on the Yasmin after 2 months. Now, it's been AWFUL. I figured I'd give it a month for my body to readjust, but I don't think that's going to happen. I have suffered from: morning-sickness type nausea every day (for 5 weeks) except during the last week of my last cycle, when I wasn't on the pills, diahrrhea, which only probiotics reduced (still a problem, but not as bad), exhaustion, achy legs and back, and shooting pains in my abdomen. Also the dry mouth that others have mentioned has been bad.
I don't know why it would work so well for so long and not work now! Has anyone else had this happen to them while switching back and forth? I also have a high breast cancer risk, and even though all the studies say there's no link between oral contraceptives and breast cancer, I have wondered - how can I take estrogen, which feeds breast cancer, without it increasing my risk?

Posting to fix typographical error, other changes made.
Flomax should not be used by anyone. It attacks the eyes. One would never want to hurt the eyes. One will not be able to have cataracts removed, either. I took a single pill, before I knew this, and yet some side effects keep increasing for one week now. I guess my liver is not very good. Without a healthy enough liver, this stuff might remain in blood forever. I don't know what is going to happen. I have no control. I stopped immediately, but the drug effects keep marching on, because drug is still active. Some side effects which are increasing even though I took only one pill: unusual and severe back pain, constipation, excessive sensitivity to light, blurrier vision, headache, transitory sharp pains in eyes. Other side effects which remain but are not increasing are insomnia, (at best now I have restless inferior pieces of sleep with somewhat changed dreams, not restful sleep, a completely different sleeping pattern and experience), also a few nasal things remain that are not getting worse. Over-all am morbidly affected by this change in health this last week, especially distressed I guess by changes in vision, at least some of which and maybe all are permanent, and in the sudden lack of hope for removing cataracts in the future. My sense of self is of course changed and the knowledge of my lack of sufficient thoroughness in checking this drug out, recklessness in using, doesn't help either, but the main thing is simply being less healthy.

I'm depressed, tired all the time, no enrgy but I can't sleep. whenI do fall asleep I have weird dreams. Restless leg sybdrome is 10 times worse than it was and my muscle cramps are back. Had to get up and walk four times last night pain was so bad in my leg. Headaches and sharp pain in my head, dry cough, eyes feel dry and I'm very thirsty. Had to get up twice the other night I was so thirsty but I can't drink because I'm so bloated. My belly feels like its twice its size.
I've only been on this a couple of weeks and I noticd all this already. What's going to happen if I stay on it.

I'm 28 years old and just recentally stopped taking the drug. My doctor told me that after my treatment was complete my body would return to normal. My last 3-month injection was in March, it's now September and still no period, recuring hot flashes, headaches, insomnia, and noooo sex drive.
Does anyone out there know how long it takes for your body to return to normal?
I would like to one day have a family and I am concerned that if my body doesn't return to normal how is that going to happen.
I have a doc. appt. today and will ask her these questions, but I would like other oppionions.
Thanks-

Hi Ladies ~
I have been off of Yasmin for 6 weeks now... I have suffered two REALLY bad panic attacks, and I am fortunate my husband helps me through them with breathing, etc.... I start feeling a lot of fear and panic something is going to happen to my family, especially my little girl (4 yrs old). It was so bad the two nights that I ended up sleeping with her. I hate these feelings when I am out of control and feel doom. I hope to get better as time goes on. Knock on wood, I have not had ONE migraine for 6 weeks!!!!!! YEAH!!!! I was getting bad ones two - three times a WEEK! Phew....
Can you please elaborate on what the Angus Castus is and where I can get it?
Thank you, girls.

Hello,
-- By jayd | Reply | (2) replies | Private Message meI am a 37 yr old male and have been on Lisinopril 20/25 for about 6 months now. I was asked to switch because the medication I was on before was not approved by my insurance carrier and this medicine is one tenth the cost.
I have never really put all of this together until I found this site. I have become increasingly confused and find normal tasks more difficult. I have always struggled with slight depression and anxiety but it has become much worse. (One of the side effects I knew nothing about before this site.) I constantly have the feeling I am going to dye or that something terrible is going to happen to me or my family.
My wife asked me yesterday if I felt that I was more confused lately and she said I was not acting myself for the last few months. Now I may know the validity of that question.
My other bothersome side affects are the feeling of a lump in my throat that I can not cough out; irregular heart beat and occasional high BP with pounding heart beat; Numbness in one or both hands; Mood swings and loss of patience.
I have just attributed these symptoms to getting older but now I know I am not going crazy!!!! Thank God for this site.
Good luck to everyone else...
