I have a three year old son who has severe allergies. He's been taking singulair for 2 years on & off just in the allergy season. He started taking, singulair again in the beginning of April. One morning he woke up and both eyes were really swollen and red, I called his doctor's office and told them i thought he had pink eye, after 2 different drops and no change I brought him into the doctor's to see if it could be his allergies, and they agreed and started him on Zyrtec. I still was not impressed with the results so i brought him back yet again to see if we could see a specialist. Instead they put him on nasonex to try.
In the beginning of March I started to see a change in my usual happy fun loving son. He was scared to sleep in his bed, waking up in the middle of the night from bad dreams, uncontrollable screaming fits that would last up to an hour, saying he wants a Boo Boo. At first we thought it could be jealously over his new brother, or maybe something at his school.
Then i found this website and everything clicked, how scary it must be for a child to have these horrible thoughts and not be able to understand or stop them. What are the people at merck thinking??
Can any one tell me when the symptoms stop. He's been off for a week and we see some improvements. But he still has these fits with almost an OCD tendency to them (mainly when he's overtired), stomach pains, lack of appetite.

I started taking Lamictal about six weeks ago for epilepsy. Now keep in mind, I was on Dilantin which worked great for 17 years and then suddenly stopped working. I have been in medication hell since then. First Topamax made me dumb as a rock. I would space out all the time. Worst drug ever. Then Keppra which was better in that my memory/ability to speak came back but I had these intense ups and down. I had rages constantly. Now I'm on Lamictal. So far, it's better than the Topamax and the Keppra, however the dreams are very intense as are the night sweats. I'm also experiencing much hair loss. Fortunately I have a full head of hair but I'm afraid I will eventually lose it all.

I have taken Levaquin on and off for years for different ailments without any side effects. Right now I have been battling sphenoid sinusitis and mastoiditis and I am on my fourth doses of antibiotics and third dose of Levaquin. For the last two weeks I have been very sick, but never related it to the Levaquin. Here are my symptoms: feverish, horrible muscle/joint aches all over my body, extreme fatigue, the inside of my mouth feels hot, multiple bad and good dreams, touble sleeping, headaches, and loss of appetite. Feel like I am dying. I will not take again.

I was put on Effexor XR 75mg two years ago. After about a year on it, i decided i needed a stronger dose, so I was increased to 150mg. I felt happier than I ever have, but about six months in I started experiencing side effects. I have very vivid dreams. When they are good dreams, they are wonderful, but more often they are horrible nightmares, the most vivid nightmares you will ever experience in your life. This is the only real side effect, but it is bad enough i am thinking about discontinuing the medication. I know that the higher the dose of a medicine, the more side effects there are. There were no side effects at 75mg, but i felt more depressed than at 150mg. I also sometimes have other milder symptoms, but I also have hypoglycemia, so I don't know if the effects are from the medication or just a sugar drop.
