I've been on Biaxin for bronchitis for four days now, following a trip to the ER for breathing problems. I thought it was allergies. The first two days weren't too bad except for the extreme thirst and not being able to sleep (and the gas). If I happened to go to sleep I would have weird dreams and wake up again. I don't know if was the Biaxin or the hydrocodone cough syrup. With the third day, I couldn't think straight and I couldn't remember words. Could be lack of sleep, I guess. Conversations were difficult. I felt spacey. At the same time, I felt like I was on fast-forward: hurry up, hurry up, gotta go, gotta go, gotta get it done, faster, faster! This is the fourth day. I'm still on fast-forward and still dizzy and spacey. My blood pressure is up and my heart rate is down. My pulse is 55. It's time for another dose, but I'm not taking it. In fact, I'm going off all my meds except the blood pressure pills in case it's a drug interaction that's not mentioned. I'll call my own doctor in the morning and talk to him. I trust him more than the anonymous ER doc.

My doctor put me on Lisinopril (10 mg) a week ago. On the third day, I felt fatigue, had a cough, entire body soreness, felt feverish, with flu symptoms. My doctor told me to stop taking it for three or four days and start it up again. I did. I felt better, especially on my forth day. I started it up again on a Monday and still felt okay, but the fatigue returned. Today, which is Saturday, I woke up feeling great. I didn't take the Lisinopril until noon time and from then on I have felt very tired. I laid down for six hours, slept two. I still have the cough and have decided to take the Lisinopril at night so that I may sleep better. I go back to my doctor the 11th of October and will let you all know how that turned out.

I am becoming so *itchy! The mood swings are horrendous! I suffer from Crohns and have to take large doses of Prednisone. Right now I'm on 40 mg daily for 7 day, then 30 mg's for 7 days, then 20 mg's then 10 mg's! I'm still in the 30 mg's and feel like I'm going to have a freakin' heart attack because my nerves are so rattled. I am ready to cry one minute and ready to fight the next. My poor husband and son are trying to be supportive but I don't blame them for getting tired of it, I'm tired of it. Has this been the case for any of you? Also, I am up a good 5-6 times nightly to pee! And I mean, can't hold it any longer, gotta go right now kind of pee! Is this supposed to be a side effect? Does it signal something bad? Any advice from any of you would be very helpful. I haven't gained any weight from taking the meds yet but I'm fearful of it and fearful of what I've heard is called "moon faced" ???? When the information says "prolonged" - how long is considered prolonged use? A month, a year, longer? Any advice is appreciated! Angel
