Hair back symptoms and conditions

Hi, I was on yasmine for 4 months then switched to ortho tri lo. A month arfter taking yasmine I started loosing large amounts of hair. I had long hair with long layers down my back and now I have extremely short layers and shoulder length hair without ANY hair cuts. I came across this site and see that alot of people on yasmine has had the same problem. I'm going off all birth control to see if I can get my hair back to normal. Has anyone had any luck regrowing there hair?

I am experiencing a very bad hair loss. I just couldn't understand why I was losing so much hair. Each time I combed through my hair, out came a comb full of hair. It breaks terribly. What can I do to get some of my hair back?

I started taking prozac 1 year ago and every thing seemed to be ok then it didn't really do anything after that,so the DR. up the dose from 10 to 20 and then I started noticing that my hair was coming out in patches I really looked like a dog that had the mange, I am really serious, this is no joke people stayed away from me cause they thought that I had a bad disease and they did not want to catch it and I could not figure out what was making me loose my hair nor could the DR.so I visited some web sites to see some of the side effects from prozac and there it was hair loss so I stopped taking it and now my hair is finally growing back but it is snow white and I have brown hair, looks like some one put bleach on my head only in spots hope every one has better luck with their prozac than I did now I am in anger managment classes it doesn't cure all my problems but I just started shaving my head and trying to get a new attitude they tried to make me feel better by telling me that bald men are sexy I don't know about all that but I just want my hair back and guess what IIIIII HAVEEEEEE HAIRRRRRRR NOWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks bountyhunter

I have alopecia universal which is total hair loss. A doctor put me on presidone 40 mil a day for 8 months. My hair came back i could not believe what a miracle drug it was, but then the side affects started and 2 years later my right hip clapsed and i need a total hip replacement. I was only 27 years old with a year old son. This is just to let you know don't take that drug to grow hair its not worth it. That was a stupid thing for me to do. The doctor told me that happened because I took presidone with a healthy body. Now I am 40 years old still trying to get my hair back but my husband and family love me for what I am.

No side effects. I just wanted to reassure all these people that are unsure about taking Synthroid, that it is the best medicine I've ever had to take. Two years ago, my hair was falling out in big clumps, I had all the symptoms of menopause-night sweats, mood swings, sleeplessness, etc. and my doctor tested my thyroid and found that I have hypothyroidism. It took a few months to get the dosage correct, but I have felt wonderful ever since and I also have all my hair back!

signifcant hair loss, changing to Prevacid to see if I can get some of my hair back. Contacted company, they stated only 1% of population affected. Everyone I know who has taken Prilosec has had hair loss!
