I am participating in a research study for Wellbutrin helping smokers to quit. I am 25 years old. The study is a double blind study so there is a possibility that I am on placebo...but judging from my feelings - I am not. I have been on wellbutrin for 8 days now. I went from 150mg to 300mg in the course of 3 days. My symptoms/side effects include feeling "blah", not having interest in conversation, coordination problems (I have had issues with walking up and down stairs; almost to the point of falling), small episodes of memory loss, and I am thinking possible hair loss. The hair loss is the most devastating to me and I am going to stop taking wellbutrin because of it. I will find another way to quit smoking - there is no sense in taking something that is going to make me feel horrible about myself. Has anyone quit taking it and have their hair grow back?

Started Fosamax February, 2006. By April 2006 I had hip, back and foot pain. Hair loss became very apparent. I checked this site and saw hair loss as a side effect. I had never realized this before - these sites are a big help. Before Fosamax I had been on Actonel for a year (no pain, but mild hair loss) but was told to switch to Fosamax by my insurance company). Stopped taking Fosamax in April 2006. Pain slowly subsided but left foot was still so swollen by July 2006 that I saw a podiatrist for suggestions to ease discomfort. She suggested metatarsal pads until swelling and pain subsided (about another month). Seem to have no lasting side effects by January 2007. Will never take Fosamax again.

Hi-I have been taking Yasmin for almost two months now and I am really upset. I noticed that my hair has been falling out in clumps, and my hairdresser said it definitely was not normal and that she in fact started to lose her hair on Yasmin, then stopped taking the pill and got cortizone injections in her head every week to make her hair grow back. Also, for the past 3 weeks I have had excessive swelling in my ankles...has anyone else experienced this? I know that it has been extremely hot and humid lately, but this has never happened to me in past summers. My breasts are also incredibly swollen, and my doctor told me to give it a couple of months, but my symptoms are only getting worse. I have three days left of this pack before my period, but I don't even want to finish the pack. Will this completely off set my period, even though there are only three pills left?

Hello everyone,

I have had really bad scalp hair loss for the last 7 months or so. After reading posts on this site, I attributed my hair loss to Yasmin and stopped taking it a couple of months ago. For a little while after I stopped taking the pill, the hair loss slowed down. It has since started up again. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience getting off of Yasmin and having their hair grow back?

Hair loss, joint pain, bloating, itchy rash, dry skin
weight gain.

Have been on Lipitor for nearly four years. Cardiologist told me to stop taking it today.

I'd like to know of side effects from stopping! Will hair grow back?

I'm female in my 70's with a recently installed pacemaker.
