ok, i have been on lisinopril 10mg hctz for about a year now. sometimes i feel the cough, sometimes my throat fells tight , but one thing that scared the hell out of me just in the last few weeks was a sudden bald spot on the top of my head, granted i am 50, but i have a reasonable head of hair, i also, to my surprise found a little bald spot usually where a man does not go bald down toward the back of the head. I just walked by my haircut lady to ask her if i had this bald spot two months ago and she said no way and to hurry and see a dermatologist, i am truly thinking its this dam drug, anyone else experience sudden hair loss in strange places on the head? thanks.

hi I take ambien CR 12.5 mg as needed, and have for about the last two months. recently is worked fine, but in the past if I've taken a nap that day or drank a little caffeine I think it didn't work as well. But more recently on the days it's worked, I can remember waking up after about 8 hours but not 'jumping out of bed' um more somber? Like I went to get a haircut one morning and just remember feelings kind of like depressed mood. um maybe not all because of the ambien!

I have been on Singulair for about 2-3 years during which time I have lost a considerable amount of hair. It is quite noticeable. My hair hairdresser said "this is not good" the last time I got a haircut. I also have bad dreams, fatigue and irritability. I want to try something to replace the sinulair for asthma, but am trying to avoid steroids. Any suggestions? Would appreciate any information on a class action suit if the hair loss is not reversible when discontinuing product..

I was prescribed Singulair in an attempt to prevent nasal polyp regrowth following a third sinus surgery. Began taking it on February 2, 2007. After about the first week noticed difficulty sleeping. Would wake frequently and then have difficulty going back to sleep. A couple of nights later, I had a sensation that someone was standing over me and choking me. I awoke screaming at the top of my lungs. Next, came the depression, total feeling of impending doom, death and misery. I cannot put into words. Would go get a haircut and wonder if this was going to be my last and would it look good in the casket. Next came the lethergy, I would wake up exhausted, sit on the couch all day, watch tv then go take a nap and go to bed at 6 p.m. Other side effects I noticed were total loss of sexual desire or ability to attain or maintain an erection, headache, and digestion problems. I stopped taking this on March 7 and am slowly (very slowly) returning to my former self. Does anyone know how long it takes to get this out of your system totally? - I have never had any issues with depression or sleep in the past so am convinced these issues are related to this drug.

I was on Yasmin a few years back and didnt seem to have any noted problems. At the time, I had extremely long hair. Past my butt, about mid-thigh. I began losing tons of hair. At the time, I had no clue as to why I was losing my hair. Me and my husband assumed that my hair had just reached a length that my scalp could no longer handle. I went and got my first haircut in 15 years!! I got it cut to about bra-strap length. Then shortly thereafter, my insurance stopped covering Yasmin so I was forched to switch. The hairloss stopped. I never thought twice about it. I assumed the haircut put an end to the hairloss. Until recently. I have never been able to take the higher estrogen birth control pills due to migraines. Only Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, Lowestrin, Yasmin, and Ortho Micronor. Most recently, I had been taking Ortho Micronor due to breastfeeding my son. At my recent annual, my doctor wanted me to get off the Ortho Micronor because he said its not as effective as the other ones and he only had me on it because I had been breastfeeding. Now that I was no longer breastfeeding, he wanted me off it. He was going to put me on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, but I specifically asked for Yasmin because I remember how nice it made my skin and figure. I have been on it for 16 days now and have noticed constipation, weight gain, and most predominantly...major hair loss. I took a shower and washed my hair the other day and noticed clumps falling out as I was rinsing. Then while I was brushing it after I got out, I cleaned a hairball the size of my fist out of my hairbrush afterwards. I still didn't put two and two together. I got online only to look up if the constipation was a side effect of the Yasmin cuz I dont remember having constipation the last time I was on it. Thats when I found that other women were having hairloss from Yasmin. Then I remembered the last time I suffered this type of hair loss, and it was indeed, the last time I was on the Yasmin. Even though I dont recall constipation or weight gain with the Yasmin last time, I definately notice it now. I've gained 4 pounds in 16 days. This really upsets me since I recently lost 26 pounds. So, Im calling my doctor today and tell him I dont care if the Ortho Micronor is less effective because I prefer to keep my hair and not become a whale =)
