Happy pills symptoms and conditions

Well I got my Mirena put in on April 29th 2009 and have been bleeding ever since and when I don't bleed for a couple hours I have an awful discharge and not to mention that I have gained 30 POUNDS IN FOUR MONTHS. I do watch what I eat and had my son in Feb of this year which I lost all my baby weight but now gained that plus some back! I have extreme back pain and cramping everyday and cramping not to mention I am now on happy pills because I have severe depression. I know for some people this works great but for the majority it causes major health problems...I am going to get it out my doctor wanted to check my thyroid but I do not think it is me I think it is the Mirena since 99% of the women on here could write my story and don't even know me!!!! I DON'T RECOMMEND MIRENA TO ANYONE!!!!!! KM. Ca

Mirena was put in on June 19th, and since day 3 or so I've been fighting depression, irrational anger and anxiety, no interest in sex whatsoever. I don't like myself. The cramping has let up considerably, but is still noticeable. I have a 2.5 y/o and a 2 month old. I normally have the patience of a saint, but with each passing day I find myself having less and less with my oldest. Little things that would usually not bother me, now make me want to punch through a wall and scream. This is NOT ME at all. I called my doctor yesterday and explained all this to him, and he offered to call in a script for happy pills, which I declined. He thinks it is a combination of PPD and the IUD, but I felt absolutely fine before I got the IUD. I got the earliest possible appt, July 6th, to have it removed.
On a positive note, I am exclusively breastfeeding my son. I was concerned about my milk supply being affected, but so far we're having no problems.

I had mine removed last month and still enjoying the NEW ME! I am so happy and cheerful now without the back pain and achy joints and anxiety attacks. Still getting rid of acne, chin hair and 40 lbs but WOW I am so grateful I found this site to validate that I wasn't losing my mind. There seems to be 1% of the population who have no problems at all with this IUD but for the other 99% of us ... BE CAREFUL and REMOVE IT ASAP! By the way, I still have not had a cycle since the 2 days of spotting after it was removed ... and the removal pain is ZERO compared to the insertion. I am also changing to a female holistic obgyn since my male doc refused to acknowledge my valid side effects - ARGH!!!
