I took one pill and my face turned very red , sore and a little swollen. Chest felt tight and hard to breath. I took a Benadryl and it took the redness away gradually. It was still there the next day. Started itching later on.

My 7 year old female Siberian Husky, Niceah is suffering with her second serious flare-up of IBD. She was taking 20 mgs. of prednisone every 12 hours for several days. We are now down to 12 mgs. daily and working towards 12mgs. every other day. She is lethargic and her body and belly have swollen frightfully to the point where it is difficult for her to lie down without grunting and sighing. She pants heavily. She drinks and eats constantly. Her nose is dry. Her tummy grumbles all day and night. I have been boiling chicken breast and mixing it with sweet potato and Enzymes & Probiotics. I am currently working with a holistic advisor concerning Niceah's diet once she has weened off the prednisone. The side effects of this drug are frightening and I am so worried that something more permanent and damaging will occur. Has anybody experienced this?? If so, I would appreciate any advise. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW I'M NOT ALONE, LIKE ALL OF YOU I THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY AND SO DID EVERYONE AROUND ME. I'VE HAD MY IUC SINCE JUNE 3, 2008 AND I'M GETTING IT REMOVED IN 2 DAYS, AFTER SEEING THIS SITE. I GOT ON THIS SITE LAST NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE SEVERE MOODS SWINGS AND DISCOVERED ALL MY OTHER PROBLEMS THAT I WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT WERE EVEN LINKED TO ONE THING LET ALONE MIRENA WERE THE SAME PROBLEMS I READ OVER AND OVER ON THIS SITE PLUS A FEW THAT WEREN'T ON HERE. I'VE BEEN HAVING PAINS IN MY FINGERS, TOES, AND BREASTS LIKE I'M BEING JABBED WITH NEEDLES, JOINT PAIN SO BAD I WOULD FREEZE UP, NAUSEA, FELT LIKE I WAS PREG. TOOK 3 TESTS ALL NEG., HEADACHES, SINUS TROUBLE, NERVOUSNESS SO BAD I FELT LIKE I WAS SHAKING ON THE INSIDE OUT, PELVIC PAIN, BACK PAIN, ITCHY SKIN AND MY SCALP ITCHES SO BAD I'VE HAD MY HUSBAND CHECK ME FOR LICE SEVERAL TIMES, IT'S HARD TO BREATH AT TIMES, HAIR LOSS, PAIN DURING SEX, AND NO DESIRE FOR SEX AT ALL. THE MOOD SWINGS ARE THE WORSE, I WAKE UP P-ED OFF BEFORE I EVEN OPEN MY EYES, I HAVE NO PATIENCE AT ALL, I DON'T CARE TO TALK TO ANYONE, I TREAT MY HUSBAND LIKE I HATE HIM. I HAVE A 17 MONTH OLD AND A 4 MONTH OLD THAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO HAVE FOR 15 YRS., 10 YRS. BEFORE I GOT THE IUC MY YOUNGEST ONE CRIED ALMOST 24/7 AND I HAD NO PROBLEM DEALING WITH IT NOW SHE HARDLY EVER CRIES AND I GET FRUSTRATED THE MOMENT SHE STARTS. I HATE FEELING THIS WAY, I FEEL LIKE A TERRIBLE MOTHER, WIFE, DAUGHTER, AND FRIEND. I CAN'T WAITE TO HAVE IT REMOVED.

I started the NuvaRing in October of 2007 and I have had some very interesting side effects. While I can't say for sure that all of my side effects are directly related to the NuvaRing after reading all the comments on this website I took it out last night. In November I started having trouble breathing and it felt like I couldn't get enough air into my lungs. I called my doctor and although I have never had a history of Asthma he felt I was having an acute Asthma attack. He gave me an inhaler to use three times a day until I felt better. But I never got better. I went back to the doctor and he started me on Spiriva and sent me for a chest x-ray. My chest x-ray showed walking pneumonia so antibiotics were the course of action now. I felt better for a bit but about three weeks later I was right back where I started. I was very weak and tired all the time. I would become winded just by walking up the stairs. Nothing I did seemed to work. A few weeks later I went back to the doctor for the forth time with a cough I could not control. It was hard to breath but I didn't feel sick. No cold or flu symptoms just a nonproductive cough. So now this is late January and I finally get a diagnosis from my doctor - full blown pneumonia but he did not do a second chest x-ray. So I take the antibiotics and for a few weeks I'm feeling pretty good. But last week I started up again with the shortness of breath and coughing but this time it's accompanied with headaches and a fever of at least 102.5. I went to the emergency room and found out that my heart is working harder than it should and I may have been throwing blood clots from my legs. The ER doctor did a chest x-ray which was normal although all my symptoms were exactly the same as a few weeks before when I was diagnosed with pneumonia. My lab work showed that my white blood cell count was normal so I don't think I had pneumonia at all. Signs of blood clots can present themselves like signs of pneumonia. I was told to look for pain or swelling in my legs and so far so good. I have a follow-up appointment in two weeks so it will be interesting to see if my heart is back to normal. I'll post back to let you all know but please ladies think twice before taking this BC. For me it was not worth the risk.

After being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection, I was given Cipro at the hospital. My heart started racing to the point that it was hard to breath. After a while, this symptom went away. Three days later, after continuing to take Cipro, I started to feel tingling sensations all over my body, and a fiery burning sensation on my right lower back. I also had patches of numb areas all over, and suffered from muscular spasms. I developed horrible agitation episodes and tachycardia. I had rushing thoughts going through my mind and felt like running away. At some point, I felt as if I was about to have a convulsion. The doctors deny that these are side effects of Cipro and think I am suffering from anxiety. I have had anxiety before, but who hasn't? It is too much of a coincidence to have all these symptoms together right while taking Cipro.

I have been on Toprol XL for 4 years - was on 50MG - Dr. tried other meds for a while (bad side effects) - so put me back on 25MG of Toprol until we can figure out something else.

When I was off the Toprol I lost 16 pounds!!!! I have not gained any back being on a lower dosage.

I think it is causing me breathing problems and pain and cramping in my legs - any one else having this? How should you wean off?

Thanks!

was on 200mg of Toprol for 7 years. I had all kinds of side effects it was awful till I did some reading on the internet about this drug. I decided to wean myself off this awful drug cut pill in 1/2 took 100 mg for 10 days, cut pill in 1/2 again took 50mg for 10 days, cut pill in 1/2 took 25mg for 10days cut pill in 1/2 took 12.5mg for 10 days stopped pills for 1 week heart started racing took 12.5mg stopped racing heart went another week with no pills racing heart again took 12.5mg stopped racing heart. Am now trying to go as long as possible without pill I am listening to my body and if I need 12.5 mg I take it. This stuff stays in your system for up to 30 days so you need to go at least 30 days with no pills to see if you still have side effects. Don't start this drug you will be sorry. Doctors know if they get you on this stuff they will have a patient for life. I refuse to take any more perscription drugs too many side effects that no one tells you about.

This is about my 4th or 5th time being infused w/solumedrol 1 gram for 3 days. I have been diagnosed w/MS for about 7 years. I have experienced joint pain but only when one doctor did not put me on a prednisone taper.
Overall, I am apreciative to the makers of this drug because it allows me to walk, button my clothes, cut up vegetabes for my 13 yr old daughter and my husband. Currently I am on my first day of a three day treatment and already I am experiencing the benefits. I am rt handed and it was tighter and feeling like card board, the same with my chest, back, and right leg. I felt like someone had tied a belt around my chest very tightly. It was hard to breath like a chest was on my chest! I am waiting for the nurse to start my IV at 4:00. I inject every Tuesday with Avonex. I REALLY need this medication to work so that I can drive my daughter to school each Wednesday. She is in Independant Studies because I was having vertigo and was afraid to continue driving. I was given a one day treatment of solumedrol in the emergency room. After treatment vertgo stopped. Yippee!!That was 11 months ago. Hot weather, sunlight exaserbates my condition to the 'enth degree. So here I am again hoping my right foot and right leg will get back to almost normal. People that are infirm are happy to receive whatever relief they can get in order to cope better with an illness even though I know that the only true cure for makinds ills can only come from God's Kingdom, but for now God has giver men intelligence to cure some of the illnesses that we face: Cancer - Chemotherapy (20 years ago killed my mom - hardened her lungs) ; Ads, Polio, Measles, TB and the list goes on there are upsides and downsides and it's a slippery slope, but I LOVE THAT I CAN MAKE THAT CHOICE!!! P.S. I have started using some vitamins ( B12,B6, Calcium (as solumedrol does some bone damage) and Vitamin E

Started taking Lisinopril one week ago today. By saturday I was feeling bloated and on monday I felt like my tummy was going to explode! Hard to breath when walking, not able to work out at all, not sleeping well, tired etc. A little cough, not bad. Stopped taking it today and I already feel better, can walk and the full feeling is getting better. I am lucky my PCP is very helpful and we are already looking to other treatments.

i typ in "what happen if levoxyl does not work" to goo and i was presented with this site. wow! it seems that this does not work for a lot of people. i sleep all the time. i panic and anxiety. my muscles are stiff. i cannot concentrate and when i cried all the time i told my psychiatrist and he called my dr and the dr upped the med then the crying stopped but i am still tired and unmotivated and hurt all over now it is hard to breath in my chest and yesterday my body temp was 35.222 celsius (which is just above what they call hypothermia) my cat meowed into my ear until i gained consciousness and started to move. i cannot go to the er because they are mad when i ask them to check my thyroid. and they do not care. my thyroid was 47 (or 74) las year when i wnt to the hosp and they drugged me with benedryl and kicked me out. i went home and they were on the phone yelling at me "you are critical!!!!" but i didn't understand what they meant.
for me i think the levoxyl is poison.
i think i will go back to armour if you ask your pharmacist they might order it for you. mine did. and be final when i say , "I WILL NOT TAKE THIS LEVOXYL ANYMORE" if my dr won't give me armour thyroid i will find one that will. i am sick and tired of being sick and tired my skin has lost that youthful look and it is one of the side effects of this horrible thing that i am going through.

Hello,

I was on a certain birth control for 1 year and my doctor suggested that I switch to yasmin.

WHAT A MISTAKE. GET OFF THIS PILL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had all the side effects you ladies are talking about

-vaginal discharge
-nausea
-anxiety
-peeing all the time

Last week I started to experience jaw pain and looked up side efects of yasmin. I found this web site and immediately went off.

4 days later my heart was pounding so fast I thought my heart was going to pound out of my chest and my chest felt tight and it was hard to breath. I actually felt an irregular heart beat. My husband stayed with me all night and by the morning I was feeling a little better. But then last night it happened again and throughout the day also. I called my obgyn at 12am and he said to got the emergency room because he was afraid I had a blood clot in my lung. The hospital monitered my heart and took blood. One of the tests came back positive for a blood clot so they had to do a cat scan of my lungs. they did not find a clot when they looked at the scan. They sent me home but I am still having chest palpitations. They think it is a withdraw drom the hormone. Has this happened to anyone else??????????

my e-mail is ******
