been on the nuvaring for four months since inserting the essure. i've noticed a very big problem having an orgasm which seems to date back to February when the essure was implanted. was just given the green light to stop the nuvaring. hope my orgasm returns to pre ring status.

I am only taking 5mg of celexa and I have had a hard time having an orgasm. I am a 41 year old woman who didn't have any trouble with this before I started on the drug.

i have been on Loette for almost a year now. I have not felt 'right' the whole time. I've been excessively emotional, had a lot more headaches, night sweats, swollen and/or tender breasts, decreased sex drive and difficulty having an orgasm, to the point where i was wondering what the hell was wrong with me. Also had moments of insane anger followed by depression. I had been off the pill for about 3 years, having previously been on Diane since I was a teenager for acne. I didn't realize how much I liked being off the pill until I went back on it! Now looking into alternative birth control options.

i feel no emotions while taking effexor. no anxiety, mind you, (which is what i was using it for---GAD.) so no anxiety is good, but is it good to not feel any sorrow, empathy, joy or happiness??? I feel like i am just going through the motions of life, not really living it. but if i don't take even 1 dose, the anxirty comes back. (but the other emotions come back too) i cry more if i miss a dose, and that used to worry me into thinking i am depressed....BUT it is normal to cry when you feel sorrow or empathy. and maybe the tears have to come flowing out as a form of release, because they were withheld for so long by the effexor. other possible side effects could be: insomnia; headaches, clenching teeth, biting cheek and tongue a lot, constipation and weight gain. (hard to know if these are side effects of effexor, or symptoms of fibromyalgia).

I just took out the first ring. For the first week, I felt like I could rip someones head off. The second week, I had terrible acne. The third week, I had trouble having an orgasm. I think I am going to try it one more month and that is it for me and the ring. I swear I have never felt rage like I did the first week I had it in. It is convenient, but I really don't want to hurt anybody!

Well everything is normal he says...no infections. well I like having orgasms and I constantly drink water so it is only the ring. Needless to say I have an appointment for my tubal on the 16th...I am done with NuvaRing!

Effexor XR worked at getting rid of a deep depression when nothing else seemed to help, made me less irritable and more pleasant to be around and rekindled some long-lost interests and made me less reactive and defensive.. AT FIRST.... within a couple months I found myself in a numb kind of depression, there was this irritable sad feeling in my head that I tried to get rid of by eating sweets, something I was never to fond of. I packed 20 pounds on my 5 foot 1 frame which is several dress sizes. I would have gained more if I didn't have periods of dieting and exercising here and there, but mostly I wasn't motivated, I would do things like sleep through doctor's appointments and not even care.. My sex drive was so gone I started thinking I was asexual, no joke.. I kept on craving junk food and couldn't stop, I also couldn't sleep at all.. It felt as if my stomach to my groin area were numb, that's why I kept on eating, to see if I could feel something but I never felt full... To me sleeping, having an orgasm and feeling full are basic human functions and to take them away is well.. depressing... I choose to accept my brain chemistry as is , that was part of the problem, feeling like we have to be happy and smiling all the time... My personality "flaws" are automatically cured when I accept them cause' they are no longer flaws and that makes me more positive and happy!

I'm 22 and I took Yasmin for a year and just recently switched to LoEstrin FE 1/20. I switched because the side effects were starting to be unbearable.

My periods got super heavy - couldn't get near 2 hours without needing to change tampons and I'd never had such problems before. My cramps were just as bad if not worse. And I noticed NO difference in my skin being clearer. I started having bad headaches just about everyday along with the occasional migraine. I had absolutely no energy and was tired all the time.
I had no sex drive and having an orgasm was a task in itself.
However, my periods were regular (obviously & thank lord) and I did get a slight increase in my breast size. I did not experience any weight gain.

I honestly do believe that Yasmin caused the onset of all my 'problems' - they never occurred until about 2-3 months after I started taking Yasmin. NONE were pre-existing. I wouldn't have switched pills otherwise.
Hopefully the LoEstrin will be better in some areas. If not, I'm giving up BC Pills for good.
