Googled Wellbutrin and hair loss and arrived here. I am female, 54, taking 250 mg per day for about a year now. Just recently, my hairdresser noticed two large bald patches at the top of my head - NO hair! I wonder if the symptom affects more people than the pharmacuticals admit?

I sure hope it grows back! Good luck to all of you.

What the heck all the side effects that everyone is complaining about were listed. I have a hard time believing that weight gain is caused because of Mirena. a lot of women gain wait after having babies. The only problem that I have besides mild cramping is that I can't wear a tampon. My doctor told me it was safe and that all his patients love it, and I really trust my doctor. I am sorry to all those who are having a lot of pain and discomfort but I really think that is unusual and not normal.

Just for all of you out there...I had the MIRENA put in May of 2008.I was anemic and had it inserted to help with menstrual bleeding. I am through having babies, so i didn't need it for birth control. My husband has had a vasectomy. I am having it surgically removed tomorrow because of an unsuccessful attempt at my doctors office on Wednesday. It is going to cost me $5000.00 to have it removed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $5000.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had terrible side effects that my doctors profusely denies could have anything to do with the MIRENA. Funny how I didn't have them before the MIRENA! Think twice before you have this put in! I can't imagine if i had waited 5 years to have it removed!!!!

I have been on Toprol -XL Metoprolol ER 100 MG, I have been on for about 2 mos. Not quite sure have to check dr records. I have had Weight gain about 20 lbs, headaches, swelling of ankles and feet, shortness of Breath, a horrible feeling of not being able to catch or take my breath, fear anxiety, stomach pains, depression, vivid dreams, waking up and not being able to sleep, tossng and turning until 4am. could feel heart beating fast but subtle. numbing in my hands and fingers lack of motivation. I have been going to a nurse practioner who is helping me to wean off of this drug. It has changed me I ave never been ill in my life except for the common cold. and having babies. There is really nothing wrong with my heart according to tests they have run, My Blood pressure was high and they were trying to get it under control, tried other meds and then went to this. It has been a horrible experience especially when you just learned you have HBP and then you get all these terrible side effects from the medicine that is suppose to be saving your life or help save it. I do not know how I will do with weaning But i will sure try and keep you posted. I am a little nervous about being weaned off, but hopefully I can find something natural to help me out. This is literally been poison to my Body ******

I am now really nervous reading all these responses about Yasmin. I started on YAZ about 18 months ago and had to stop because of constant bleeding. My doctor switched me to Yasmin about a year ago. The bleeding stopped and everything was fine for a long time. I have started developing melasma on my upper lip. Yuck!! Looking back, I think I have been kind of depressed too the last few months (and that is SO not me!). I wonder if it is the Yasmin. I am 37, married with three kids and am done having kids. I am wondering if I should stop Yasmin, hoping my melasma will clear up, but what do I do next??? My husband and I are definitely done having babies!!

I am 41 yrs old and have been suffering with very heavy, clotting periods for the past 5 years. During those 5 years, I tried several different hormone therapies to control the bleeding, but every one of them caused extended periods lasting 10-12 days with only a week or two of no bleeding in between. I went to the GYN and her recommendation was to try the IUD as a way to lessen the bleeding and help treat migraines I also have during my cycle. I had the IUD inserted on Feb 12, 2008 and have experienced the following ever since: very sharp pains in my abdomen, constant minor cramps, extreme bloating so that my clothes do not fit, nausea just enough to not want to eat, constant light bleeding forcing me to go through several pantyliners a day, and very sore and full-feeling breasts that remind me of the days of nursing my baby, night sweats which I've NEVER experienced before. I do not have any desire for sex, but that is partly due to the constant bleeding. I went to the ER for the sharp pains in the abdomen to check for IUD perforation, but all their x-rays and CT scans showed it was in place. The CT scan showed a small spot near one of my ovaries that was 'explained away' as probably a result of ovulation. In all my years, I've never felt ovulation to that degree, this pain was a stabbing feeling from the inside. I decided to follow the GYN's recommendation to keep the IUD in at the time, but I now have an appt in two weeks to have it removed. I thought I had researched all there was to find about this hormonal IUD before my decision to have it placed--if I had come across this forum at that time, I would have said no. I was a little hesitant to go this route, putting a foreign object inside my body, but didn't listen to my own instinct at the time. I wish I had now, and I will definitely share my story with others so that they will be well informed before making this decision. My next options (as I am finished with having babies) are either thermal ablation or hysterectomy--at this point, I would welcome the hysterectomy because it would make all this bleeding/cramping STOP!
