Hey all. I started on Bactrim for pneumonia yesterday, which brings me up to 4 doses as of today. After the first pill I noticed my lips were turning red and felt like burning and hurt quite a bit, but I had no idea it was from this med. After the second dose, I noticed a pounding headache and neck pain and stiffness starting. It feels like my head is just going to explode when I cough now. After dose 4 my tongue is swollen with a burning feeling also. So I started to catch on and looked it up online only to find several websites full of people who have had similar, and many other, side effects. Needless to say, I will never take Bactrim EVER AGAIN! I'd rather deal with the pneumonia!! Now my concern is how long will it be before these side effects go away? I've heard some scary stuff about permanent effects! :-/

I've been taking WB xl 150mg for 12 days. I also take Effexor XR and Lamictal to treat bipolar. I've been feeling so depressed for about 4 weeks without any cause and I wanted to stop smoking. My doctor thought maybe I was experiencing SAD. I totally withdrew from my friends and would only leave the house to go to work. I just felt numb and like I couldn't get out of bed. I started feeling better almost immediately after starting WB! I did have a splitting headache and neck pain for about a week but now it's completely gone! My smoking cravings were gone within 3-4 days. I have no desire to pick up a cigarette even if I think about it for a while. I feel very calm yet extremely focused and energetic. My numbness is gone and it feels great to be able to cry and experience emotions again. I am LESS angry and I've quit snapping at people - which I used to do constantly. I still wake up several times during the night, which is new, but I try to rest during the day and go to bed earlier. My hunger does go up and down - sometimes I eat everything, other times I have no appetite. Really the only big side effect I have at this point is muscle and joint pain. There is no miracle pill. Sometimes you have to use mind over matter also.

I recently had Novocaine injected for a lower molar crown insertion. After one week I have been experiencing jaw pain, tooth sensitivity (the molar), sore gum's around to the front (top and bottom), some inner ear sensations, headache and neck pain on that side and muscle actions causing my teeth to chatter rapidly. These effects seem to worsen when I lay down or even worse when I drink alcohol.
