It seems like everytime I get back on a birth control after getting off it, i react differently. I started on ortho, I felt pregnant, bloated, depressed, acne. Switched to aviane 28 after 2 months, at first, weight loss, clear skin, than cystic pimples in the last week. I stopped early that week, then decided it would be better to finish the pack. So i skipped two of the days and finished the pack. TERRIBLE idea. I've never looked or felt more disgusting in my life and I didn't get a period. I went back on ortho to re regulate myself. Acne, but felt wonderful! unfortunately i stopped b/c the price went up. Felt terrible after stopping dramatic weight loss that i didn't need. Went back on ortho lo, felt weird, very manly. like muscular, and weird puffy face and dark spots on the sides of my face. I lost a pack and decided not to pay $50 again, i;m a college student and bought aviane 28. My skin has never been so clear! I got really tired after taking them so I think next month i'll switch to taking them at night. I don't feel physically healthy yet after a dramatic weight loss after getting off ortho (even though I'm at a healthy weight), but I think i'll continue with them, but take them at night intstead. My advice is don't play around with these hormones. I'm afraid what i'll be like getting off them. I feel safer taking the lower dose though. My sister has been taking this for years, and claims to have no side effects and thinks i'm crazy when I start complaining about birth control.

I have been taking Levoxyl for 15 years . About 10 years ago I developed fatigue, unexplained joint pain , leg pain and excesses heart burn. After lots of testing and specialist who could never find anything to cause these problems I was told fibromyalgia. Don't believe it. I never believed it for one minute. This is nothing more than Levoxly posioning. I am strong healthy weight and food concious and always have been. Why do all the people that are diagnosed with fibromyalgia have thyroid? Their all taking Levoxyl.

I started taking Glucophage about 2 months ago. The first 2 to 3 weeks were hell... as far as the no appetite, dirreaha, and extreme feelings of naseua goes. But I stuck with it...thanks to a little herbal remedying of my own... cough cough... I was able to eat and get over the naseua. Well after the first few weeks were over...I started to not feel sick anymore. I feel fine, very seldom do I feel sick to my stomache anymore. I think once your body gets used to the changes...that's when you can fully appreciate the positive sides. All in all, I would say this i sa good medicine for me, and it is helping me reach a healthy weight. I have lost maybe 15 pounds since starting it. Good luck sticking through the first few weeks of treatment! It's worth it!

My daughter is 8 years old and has been on Advair since she was 4 years old. In those 4 years she gone from a normal, healthy weight child to significantly overweight. When I discussed this with her Pulmonologist he said that there wasn't enough steroid in the Adviar to cause this. And to put this in perspective she has put on 30 lbs in just one year. After reading some of the entries I was relieved to find out that she is not alone. As of today I have taken her off the Advair. Thankfully she has the type of asthma that can be handled in another way. I just wish I had found this website earlier.

May 2005 I've been on Lipitor since 2001, but quit taking it Nov. 2004 due to muscle aches - I was aware of my legs, particularly my calves - and my wrist joints hurt. I'm a healthy weight, work out at the gym, am active etc. but am worried when my cholesterols levels went back up to 376 total. I started back on the Lipitor out of fear, at 20 mg instead of my prescribed dose of 40 mg. Guess what? Within two weeks my back is aching again, my wrists, and now my neck. I stopped the Lipitor again but am not sure what to do. I'm thinking of having an ultrasound done on my arteries, and looking into natural solutions. HELP!

Used it, in conjunction with a salmeterol reliever, to get off steroids. Inceased suddeness and severity of attacks, twice having to be ambulance driven to the ER. Absolutely unable to shed the 60 pounds put on with steroids- despite having been a healthy weight for 35 years, before taking these drugs. Have now given up all but the occaisional use of Salmeterol reliever, all symptoms gone.
