My son is 11 yrs old. I can not believe what I am reading. My son has been taking Singular for about 3 yrs for asthma and allergies. My son was always
happy and the most confident child I know, he did great in school. All of a sudden about 2 years ago everything has changed. He is always moody,
upset, has fits and argues about everything no matter where. My husband and I could not understand it, he was never like this. His grades have gone
down dramatically. One teacher told us she taught he had hearing problems
and that I should have him tested. We did last year and they said he had no
problem and that he needed his adenoids taken out that were swollen and compressing his ear drums so we had them taken out. I do not see a difference we still believe he has problems hearing at times we have even
kind of test him at home at times and he can not hear well, he has even
been talking very loud as if he had a hearing problem. His academics still
continue to drop. We taught this is just a phase he is going through.
Recently at school the teacher told me he might have ADHD and that maybe
I should put him on Medication. I refused !! You see I have a 16 yr old
that has ADHD and had all the symptoms from an early age. But my other
son never showed the signs he was alway attentive and did well in school.
He has been complaining of headaches and stomach aches we had him checked out and nothing we taught maybe he does not want to go to school
or wants attention. He is also depressed at times. My question is will this
go away when he stops taking this medicine. I have not given it to him since
3/21/08 that my sister in law told me about the news. I have an appointment
with his doctor next week. I feel so horrible for not even considering that this
medication might be the problem.

Help!! I need some advice. I'm 47 and have been diagnosed with HBP. I'm 6'2", 250 lbs. My Dr. has prescribed Lisinopril, which I'm suppose to pick up today. I've never been on any prescription medicine before. Don't have any known allergies. My BP averages 138/90 in the am and 170/117 in the evening. My fear is once I start taking this medication, am I on it forever? The side-effect described on this board are frightening. Any advice??

I have been taking los dose (50mg) Trazodone as a sleep aide for about 3 months. Since the first week I have had horrible headaches, worse than any migraine I've ever had. These headaches are always one sided and cause hearing problems for the duration of the headache. Nothing, and i do mean NOTHING will stop these headaches except percocet. My Dr is having me do an MRI just to be sure theres nothing wrong in my head, but I honestly think its the Trazodone.

I started Yasmin 6 days ago after having my Mirena IUD removed for excessive bleeding. From day 1 I did not feel right and each day was worse. I experienced constant dizziness, mental cloudiness, fatigue, irritation, and hearing problems. Today, a half an hour after taking Yasmin for the 6th day I went numb allover, was unable to walk, and my hands twisted and stiffened. Fortunatly my Husband was home and rushed me to the hospital where I was stabilized and later releases. Many tests were run in the hospital and nothing was found to be abnormal. Needless to say, I'm throwing these away and intent to write to as many of these message boards as possible.

my doctor just prescribed me with 50 mg of trazodone (once before bed), and 2mg Ativan as needed. I took an Ativan 3 hrs before my Trazodone. 3 hours after trazedone (12am), I went (waddled) to be and had my first good nights sleep in years. The problem was I had slept until 1pm. My husband tried to wake me up, but I guess I was a log. I am taking these for Anxiety/Panic attacks.I don't want to sleep my life away..should I switch to Paxil or something? My headaches are deep and i never get headaches. This is the second time taking them.

I was already on Cardizem and Enalapril and 2 mos. ago I went on Toprol 25 mg. which I take 1/2 of everyday. Now I am experiencing hearing problems as if I'm in a tunnel during the daytime until the med. wears off some at night. Is anyone else experiencing hearing problems from Toprol? I'm also experiencing shortness of breath, sleeplessness, and severe neck pain. I know 12.50 is a very small dose, but I feel these problems are a direct result of the Toprol.

I'm on several medications for high blood pressure and heart palpatations due to mitral valve prolapse. I am on Cardizem 240mg, Enapril 20 mg, and now Toprol (1/2) of a 25 mg. a day. (in the morn.) Now I've begun to have temporary hearing loss. My ears will ring and then it's as if I'm in a tunnel for the rest of the day. At night my ears clear up and I can hear normally again. Is anyone else out there having hearing problems?

I was on Cipro quite often in the early 90's for UTI's. I developed tinniuts that was so bad that I had to get 2 hearing aids. *was told I had "permanent nerve damage" Never attributed it to the drug, and it was presumed that I had hereditary hearing loss "starting with me" (no other hearing problems in my family). In 2000 I had surgery and had lost a lot of blood from internal bleeding and was put on Iron supplements, at the same time I was back on Cipro for a UTI. Since that time it took me 2 years of searching to find out why I have the following problems: Joint pain in my hands and feet. Plantar faciitis in both feet. Tremors in hands, fingers, and toes. Muscle tremors all over my body on occasions. Burning eyes, and hot flashes - then extreme intolerance to cold (I am age 34). Circulation issues (ie.. limbs feeling deadened at nighttime in bed). Difficulty walking - balance worsening. And, "foggy brain" difficulty concentrating, or finding the right word on many occasions.
I was told by my new hollistic doctor that I had a CNS disorder called Dysautonomia. This is also hereditary, and "starting with me".

My mother is a 90 year old woman in excellent health. She has very mild short term memory loss and minor hearing problems. She started taking VESIcare for help with bladder control. It didn't work so the doctor increased her to two tablets a day. Within days, her short term memory and hearing deteriorated significantly. She discontinued use (switched back to Detrol) and within 24 hours, her memory and hearing were back to "normal."
