Interesting earlier post about hearing pulse in ear.
I heard my blood squirting through my veins in/around my ear yesterday.
Didn't start prednisone until today. Figure that one out?

Thank god I read this. I have been on Aviane for about 1 1/2 now. I was fine for the first few months.
Then I started losing my hair which girls usually do but for me I never ever lost hair, in my brush on my clothes, in the shower never lost hair and I am noticing for the last few months that I have been losing considerable amounts of hair and I've been wondering how this could be all of a sudden.
and I have been so mean to my boyfriend, I thought I was just so unhappy at this point in my life. I found myself nagging for no reason at all but just to do it. and I'll tell you he is absolutely perfect and I have no reason at all to be unhappy in our relationship. I'm not the kind to have mood swings of any kind or suffer depression, I have always been very pleasant.
I started suspecting my bc even though I had been on it for a while. 2 months ago, while on my sugar pills (and I don't think I have to remind you but my period, which is supposed to be our "crazy time of the month") within in a day of not being on this bc, that entire week was the most pleasant I can remember being this whole past year. So again one more month I take this bc, again bitchy, nagging, crying for no reason at all after one day of being back on the pill!
I just can't believe that "pmsing" while not on the pill gives me a more pleasant attitude than taking Aviane!!! I thought I was just depressed thank god I found this website, I am switching immediately!
On another note, I haven't had any side effects like breakouts, not anymore than the usual one or two a month, no cramping, no migraines. But I have been noticing busted blood vessels, quite a few on my arms and one under my eye. I am relatively young, early 20's, I thought it may have a side effect like this because of the heart, blood clotting, strokes etc. anyone else with that problem???
Thanks so much for your posts, ladies, I am on the phone with a gyn as soon as I post!!! No More Aviane!

On 4.25.07 after four days of taking YAZ i found myself in the ER havinf a CT of my head, lungs, sonogram of both my legs, x-ray of my lungs, ekg of my heart, blood & urine samples taken. All in all I spent 11 hours being poked and examined only to be told to stop taking YAZ. My symptoms were: extreme dizziness, heart palpatations, headache, tingling in my legs, partial numbness in my left check, fatigue. They were concerned that I may have had a blood clot due to the pills and that's why they were looking at my legs & lungs. If I had developed a clot in my legs I would've had to taken blood thinners for 6 months and if it would've been in my lungs I would've been admitted into the hospital that day. Now a day later I am extremely tired, have a heart monitor attached to my chest. (They're having me wear this for 24 hrs.) I've had one dizzy spell and feel a little "out of it". If I had known that such a small little pill could create so much havoc I would've never taken it in the first place.

To all my other sufferers of this hell, I too have been thru this agony. This started on March 12,following an pnuemonia attack. My dr. prescribed leavquin because he felt that it would attack the virus better.I took the 750mg dosage for 10 days & actually started felling normal again. I returned to work without any side affects, doing everything that I always had. But then, out of the blue and 13 days later, I started feeling bad. Me being a truck driver,I experienced the leg cramps, joint popping, light headedness, shortness of breath & fatigue. I thought I went back to work too early after the pnuemonia .The next day I had body aches all over but I had a family function to attend so I went with the pain. 3 hours into the evening I got up to go to the restroom & this is were my hell has started. Lack of breath, dizziness, unable to walk & 20min. later, severe chills. We left the party & arrived home with the chills and 102 temperature. I thought I would sweat this out but I was wrong! I wound up going to ER where my body was off the charts, elavated vitals, severe chills & muscle aches. ER setup an IV and a monitor. BP was 177/117,pulse 107,wcbc was 19,oxygen/blood ratio was92. I recieved 2 pushups of dilonted and that supressed the chills & fever. 9 hours later I was sent home with a 104 temp, messed up vitals and was told to follow up with my Dr. Saw him 2 days later, told him that i was weak, nauseous & had a bad sore throat. He gave me tagamet, have a echograph for my heart, blood work& sent me home. 5 hours passed, then he says he wanted to admit me to hosp.for "observation".
The next morning I awoke in a sweat, my throat had completly closed and my sinuses had open causing me to gag on mucus. I was so bad that i could not swallow water, even small sips and my abdominal muscles were sore from from coughing. Needless to say,in brief,I have been tested for lupus, viral infection for sinus, lung, stomach, uti & prostate(complete with biopsy testing) and full xrays of legs & spine. My veins are collasped from all the blood draws(9)-"37 vials & counting", guess what...SO FAR EVERYTHING IS NEGATIVE!!! So it has been 7 weeks, instead of doing normal activities like walking the dog, yard work, sports, etc, I am walking with a cane, have shortness of breath, extreme cramping of my calf muscles, popping joints & lots of fatigue. Next set of tests are neuromuscular & to check for the "parvovirus"(I'm not a DOG!) but now the doc seems it is related to my dog of 12 years that stays at home & never leaves the yard. The dr & his collegues still wont admit that this is the "horrific side effects attributed to Levaquin", but we all know better, may we all strive to get well!

to lisa and Manda... its chrissy here...
firstly lisa.... you asked about my breasts and if they went down after i stopped yasmin. Well when i got on it they increased a whole cup size within two weeks and when i stopped yasmin they decreased back to my normal size within 1 week! but they were so sore it was terrible...
also my heart rate kinda just eased up on its own. it wasnt a sudden change or anthing the pace just decreased gradually... like at the moment i can feel that its beating a bit faster but thats because im ovulating... but nuthing like what it used to be.... much easier to handle now.
to Manda... you asked what PCOS was... it stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, its a health problem that affects a woman's mentrual cycle, fertility, hormones, heart, blood vessels and i guess overall appearance. Girls that have this usual have high levels of male hormones or an irregular or no menstrual cycle and sometimes have small cysts on their ovaries. If your wondering about it more there is alot of information on the internet, just type in PCOS into google or something like that.
ok guys lotsa luck!
love chrissy xox

My male friend has been taking 1 small bottle of morphine drops that are suppose to last 3-months in addition to 75 mg patches 2 q3-4 days per wk. Just upped dossaged from 1 year ago from 50 mg patches, fenelyne, to 75mgs. Chronic pain is from arthtiyis in hips & bone broken in accident as a child and numerous times since, has adult onset diabetes, takes Insulin. Just has 3 stynts placed in his heart and suffered from major stroke about 6 months ago. Has severe neuropathy in legs, On disability and only 52 yrs old. Former pow Nam vet for short time. Have been close friends for quite awhile. His mood started changing when he started taking the morphine over 1 yr ago now and he is now severely depressed, combative and hatefull especially after his meds has been raised to higher mgs and wife now objects after 6 yrs to our relationship. Was very bubbly & fun before wife starting to objecting to just having fun & joking around. More than you need to know, but he has now became physically abusive to me by slugging me in the shoulder then denying he did it. This has happened about 3 occasions in the past 4 months since his stroke but usually just with heel of his hand and never on my face. He has never been like this to me proir to the stroke and I have spent many many days, and years with him. He's on meds for migraines, heart, blood pressure, Insulin, this is just a drop in the bucket. Try 30 rx's. no sex drive and says he's angry at the world. Is adding all this morphine to his other meds making him into a morphine monster? Act's worse at home, but I don't think he's hit his wife, she's bigger than he is. I only weigh 103lbs. Yells constantally about inappropriate subjects or time or& has no feeling or remorse except care for his child of 8 yrs. She get's yelled at as well. He has to take insulin daily. Only sleeps about 2-3 hrs at a time per nite. Recently went on meds for restleg syndrome which I'm the only person ,and he's been married 5 times that figgured this out. We are very emotionally attached to each other but I'm beginning to doubt his for me. Sx's keep getting worse, won't hardly talk about anything now. Is this normal or is he like I suspect, has become addicted to morphine? Thank You anyon that can possibly help
