If none of the other postings tell you to get off of this drug, I certainly hope this one will. I began taking 5 mgs. of Lisinopril after visiting my Physician due to back pain. I have been a runner my whole life and went in because I had pulled my back out. I was very nervous; hence the high blood pressure….I was told by the nurse that I probably had white-coat-hypertension. Anyway, after being scared out of my mind, by this Doctor, I agreed to go on this drug, even though, at 50, I had never taken any other kind of drug in my life….HATE DRUGS! I began having heart palpitations after the first day on this drug, and one month after taking this poison, I began experiencing severe itching on my head, neck, and top of my back. I had just visited my salon and thought it was due to hair dye, which I had never had allergy to before. The itching increased and then I started getting severe cramping of my legs. I called my Dr. and was told to purchase organic shampoo/conditioner/soap, and that the leg cramps were probably Restless Leg Syndrome. He told me it was DEFINITELY NOT from the meds. He told me to let him know if the cramping got worse as there was something else that he could prescribe for it. This itching went on gradually for about 5 months. I purchased ever kind of organic shampoos, etc. with no relief, and the cramping of my legs became unbearable. Then, in April of this year, every thing starting to happen. I began itching all over my body and when I itched, it left big red welts wherever my nails hit. After about a week of this, I began breaking out in hives here and there. Went in to the Dr. and told him that I thought this medicine was doing this. This Dr. assured me again, that this would not be the cause of this and told me to take Benadryl and come back the next day so that he could see if I was any better. The Benadryl helped immensely and upon the next Dr. visit, he told me that I had come down with some sort of allergy and it was NOT due to the medicine. Went home and itched my body raw for the next week. Now the hives had turned into huge welts with water in them and my body began swelling with each new day! I stopped this poison on my own and was told to come back in to the Dr. immediately. I was put on Prednisone and told to take massive doses of Benadryl and this idiot Dr. still insisted that it was not from the Lisinopril….my ankles, arms, etc. now were almost double in size and the itching was unbearable. The seven day pack of Prednisone didn’t do a thing. I will say, though that after three days off this poison, my leg cramping subsided and my heart palpations did as well. I decided to take this in my own hands and went to see another Doctor. The Doctor I had been seeing, I found out, owned the Center where he practiced, and I believe he kept having me come back just to make more money. By now, my entire body had huge sores and pits and scales on my skin….I felt like a leper. I went to a Holistic Dr. and told him my story and he could not stop apologizing for the agony that I had been doing through. He told me this was ridiculous. His nurse asked me if I had ever heard of Johnson Steven’s Syndrome, and told me that she thought I had it. I was immediately sent to a Dermatologist and given steroid shots….which did nothing. My skin was pealing off each and ever day in flakes and I itched so bad I wished I were dead. I underwent skin biopsy’s and blood tests which came back showing that I was overwhelming reacting to some sort of allergy. This Dermatologist, who was excellent and didn’t even charge me due to his concern for what I had been through, sent me to an allergist. My small stature body had now increased 25 lbs due to water retention and sores covering my whole body. I can not put into words the agony I was in. Upon the visit to the Allergist, he recognized immediately what I had. He said he saw this type of thing, (not this bad, however), often due to the Lisinopril. Why didn’t that other QUACK Doctor stop this from the beginning…I believe it all comes down to money! Anyway, after almost 6 months of the hives, sores, etc., I am finally seeing a bit of improvement. My legs and back and back of my arms are permanently scarred…they are poke-a-dotted due to the huge hives and massive sores, and I still itch all night long if I don’t take my Benadryl. Who knows what the Benadryl will have done to me in the long run. Please, please look into this medicine and all other medicines that you take. There are holistic, natural methods of getting your ailments under control. Through my experience, I have encountered the most money-hungry, unprofessional Doctor in the world, but I have also experienced the most considerate well-intentioned Doctors. Please do your homework, and find a Doctor that has your best interest in his sight. Through this ordeal the only thing that sustained me was prayer. I have always been somewhat superficial about my looks, weight, etc. and this truly was an eye-opener. It’s amazing what these medicines can do to you, and don’t you wonder if the Pharmaceutical Companies don’t know all of this and could care less due to their hunger for money?!!!! It’s gotten to be a sad world. God Bless!!

Hello Ladies,
I have had my Mirena in for about three weeks now and have had severe migraines since it was place. My doctor prescribed Migraine medication to resolve the issue and as soon as the medication wears off BAM it’s back again not to mention the heart palpitations I been having as well. I never have had any of these issues before in my life. I called the Dr to have it removed and his nurse went on about how wonderful this IUD is and the expense in which mu insurance company paid for. I explained, that I don’t care what the cost is or was and I cannot function with this headaches and taking medication to mask the problem is not the solution either… This morning I couldn’t even get out of bed because of the pain my husband picked up the phone and called the Dr Office he said either remove the IUD or I’m taking her to the emergency room… Hmmmmmmm….. Low and behold it came out this morning and I’m feeling better already.. Ladies, listen to your bodies and if something doesn’t sit well with you on this IUD then I suggest having it removed. For the bloggers on here that say it’s a God send that’s wonderful and I hope you continue to well with it for those of suffering each and every day it has not been a God send for us. I have to also say I wonder if these bloggers saying it wonderful are from Dr’s offices or the pharmaceutical company itself. Just a thought!!!!!

I've been on Yasmin now for about 8 months. It seems to work but now this month when I started the pill, I never stopped bleeding. It stops overnight and then begins later on in the day. I sometimes get heart palpation but not that bad. It has calmed all my period symptoms but this month I can stop the bleeding. Anybody have this problem?

I started taking Aviane approximately 3 weeks ago because of my irregular menstrual cycle. I'm only 17, and since I was relatively healthy, my family doctor told me that there would be no serious side-effects. About 2 weeks into the pills, I started to experience shortness of breath and a constant pressure on my chest, near my thyroid gland. A few days ago, I had gone numb on one side of my body and lost some circulation to my right arm. Just last night, I was admitted into the emergency room because I had trouble breathing, nausea, tightness in my chest, dry throat/hard to swallow, tremors, near blackouts, fatigue, dizziness, weakness in my limbs, and heart palpations. They took tests and said all of them came back negative, but they still want me to check up with my family doctor soon. Apparently it was an allergic reaction to the chemicals in Aviane, but since estrogen and progesterone are natural hormones found in the body, I wasn't so sure. I had a fever last night, and my body could not stop shaking. We've contacted a few nurses, and they suggest I might be experiencing some of the side-effects of Aviane as well as a possibility of a viral infection. I don't think the benefits of Aviane are really worth it. I've been spotting ever since I started; my appetite increased along with my weight (I'm a bit underweight though so it's not that much of a problem); and obvious mood swings. I doubt many people will react to Aviane the same way as me, but it's very possible. So make sure you talk to your doctor about any possible side-effects and make sure you really want to start taking them. I haven't tried any other brands of the Pill, but I don't think I'm going to be starting any again anytime soon.

Prescribed for kidney stones and was sent home to pass stone. Slept 3 hours without pain and passed the stone some time later. Took for 2 more days due to pain from stone. Works excellent for relieving pain. Quit taking 2 days ago, as I was experiencing mild paranoia and mood swings, accompanied by heart palpations. Have drank a lot of liquids and performed mild exercising, but effects of the pills have continued, although not as severe. Be very very careful using this medication, and I would suggest only taking if absolutely necessary. Discontinue use asap after pain is manageable.

I have been taking Lamictal since October of 2007. I experienced some of the symptoms (muscle pain in the head and neck) before I started the medication. I have experienced panic attacks since July of 2005. I have had mild heart palpations since I was in my mid 20's (I'm 36 now). I have had what I would consider a below normal energy level since my mid 20's also. Ok so like everyone else I am thinking I'm a hypochondriac! However, I was diagnosed August 28th 2007 with having Lyme’s Disease and also Hyper-Thyroid (same time, same lab-work). Two weeks later I was diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder (this is one thing I knew I was battling but didn't know how to handle it). My physiatrist started me on Lamictal and I did the standard ramp up to 200mg. I also was started on a 90 day treatment of Dyoxicycline for the Lyme’s and Methimazole for the Hyper-Thyroid. I was very very weak and was only able to stay awake for short periods of time (4 to 5 hours max). Just an fyi, I am not overweight, lazy or unmotivated. I have the physical appearance of perfect health. This, I think works against me as the Dr's seem to think I'm just whining. Mater of fact; my Primary Care Physician never tested me for Lyme’s. I went to an Urgent Care Center which tested me for Lyme’s disease and I came back positive (they also tested my Thyroid levels and found the problem with my THS levels) I told my Dr the results and he insisted I have same test done again. Guess what, new tests, same results.
My symptoms today are very similar to what I have seen posted many times. Muscle pain (entire body, some areas worse than others), heart arrhythmia, racing heartbeat, intense palpitations, nausea, foggy “un-plugged” mind, fatigue, weak muscles, muscle cramping (especially after repetitive motion, such as strumming a guitar), panic attacks (much more severe) and the latest addition to the group, Insomnia. Muscles pain in my head, fore-head, jaw, temple, neck (front and back), shoulders, is terrible to say the least. The pressure in my fore-head (right under my brow) makes me feel like I need to close my eyes or rest (resting does not relieve anything). The front of my neck is so tight at times it feels like my jaw is being pried down. I could go on and on.
On my quest to find out what else is going on with my body I have had 2 Echocardiogram’s on my heart and abdomen, 2Nuclear Stress Tests, blood work out the wa-zoo, MRI of my brain, 2 CT’s of my Head and Neck, Chest X-rays, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, and all revealing nothing.
Most doctor’s I have encountered seem to want to treat the symptoms, not the problem/disease. I believe I know why; we (the ones who are there for solutions) tell them what the symptoms are (how we feel). We of course are thinking “this will help with a diagnosis of the problem/disease”, when in fact (I feel); the doctor’s thought process stops there. They don't know what’s wrong with you but they do know what your symptoms are so....bingo, let's treat the symptoms. Don’t misunderstand what I am saying. I’m not saying, “Most doctor’s don’t know what they are doing” or “don’t take your meds”. I am saying you and I are one of the 20 to 30 patients most doctor’s see daily (100+ weekly). They may be caring and good people but they are just as human and fallible as you and I. My advice is this; (and I am taking my own advice) don’t always “pop” into your body what the doctor suggests/prescribes, without doing your own research. Heck most of us won’t buy a car or more importantly, send our kids off to a college with out doing your own research (we just don’t trust those shinny brochures). Your body and your health are worth you doing your own research. Just keep in mind, Pharmaceutical Reps are always at your Dr.’s office (sit in the waiting room for 10 minutes and I’m sure you will see one). Reps are paid to do one thing; encourage (push) the Dr.’s to promote use of the Pharmaceutical Companies drugs.
My wife and I have been doing our own research on Lamictal (after a year of taking this stuff) and the side effects associated with this drug. We have searched through many (many, many) web sites for information and we have talked with pharmacists and Dr’s for opinions. Although I’m am not thoroughly convinced that Lamictal is the cause of all of my symptoms, my wife and I have decided to lower my Lamictal slowly from 200mg to 100mg. I am now taking 150mg daily (three days now) and plan on staying at this level for a total of two weeks before lowering to 100mg. I do fear dropping the dosage to quickly (potential side effects) or lapsing into a mania. To help avoid a manic episode my wife and my immediate family are all “up-to-date” with my course of action. They are on “Red Alert” and have promised to keep a close eye on my behavior patterns and moods. (I don't want to put them through another hyper-mania episode, its much too devastating). I do want so badly to feel healthy and alive again and at this point I am rather frustrated with the Dr.'s ability to help me achieve this goal. Remember it is called “Practicing” Medicine. So now I’m going to practice a little, very carefully and cautiously.
As a foot note; I have recently (past two weeks) been re-tested for Lyme's with a negative response. I am keeping in mind Lyme's test are very inaccurate (still hoping this one is accurate). My thyroid is under control and normal, so.... let's see if dropping below 150mg of Lamictal will eliminate some of these other symptoms. I will keep you posted.
Erik

I am having the same negative effects. To me it seems so obvious. Change the formula so that it does not work as well, we have to take more to stop wheezing. Sell it for 3 times the price for half as much. Oh and get a five year patent while your at it, no generic.

I am having heart palpations, migraines and infection after infection.

My mother is taking Orencia for her RA. It is doing wonders for her. She is now able to walk most of the time without the use of a cane. Although within a few hours after each treatment, she becomes very weak and tired. She also has some heart palpations that could also be caused by her WPW. These symptoms last about 12 to 24 hours than she is fine. Does anyone else experience these problems?

Crapshot, thanks for the info on your thoughts. But in my case as well as others I do not believe this is at all related to Candidiasis. If you scroll down and read my post you will see that I have snapped two biceps from Levaquin. This in not the first time I was Floxed But the other times I was on lower doses and the symptoms didn't appear until well after I had finished my prescriptions. Not only did I have to have 2 surgeries but I was also having heart palpations and severe joint pain that went away after months of my body cleansing itself. This time I figured it out because they put me on a higher dose for a longer period. This time around the symptoms started before I finished my course. I quit taking the Leva-pak and googled the side effects. And they were spot on. Not only do I take probiotics and vitamins daily but I work out and do cardio 4 to 5 times a week, and eat a healthy diet. At the ripe ol age of 41 the doctors were amazed that I have torn each bicep tendon from the bone in a 2 year time period. I AM blaming the pill. Also Public Citizen along with the Attorney General from Illinois is suing the FDA to get this Black Boxed. They are also suing the FDA because they haven't been updating the newer cases of tendon ruptures. It's easy to blame the consumer, but do you think I would have taken this after my history with this medication. If they had the proper warnings and black boxed the tendon rupture I wouldn't have even allowed this drug to be in my house. I'm glad you didn't come away with the serious side effects but please don't blame the patients.

I am so happy to have found this site.... I have been on Yasmin for a little over a year. I had read side effects prior to taking it but had to be put on it due to the fact that all my life I have had an irregular period cycle. I figured that everyone was different so I started taking it. I did fine up until a few months ago. I started experiencing nausea and terrible chest & abdominal pain. They found out I had a bacterial infection so related it to that. But after that was cleared up I still had the problems... went to the ER who ran tons of tests... catscan, EKG, x-rays, blood work.. the whole thing, and everything came back 'normal'. Then I started experiencing anxiety and panic attacks... seemed like they always were in the evening making it very hard for me to fall asleep. I felt nervous all the time. Then I found this site and so many here have experienced everything I have. I immediately stopped taking yasmin and went into see my obgyn. Right now I am not taking anything until I get back to feeling like me again... I hear it takes a while for the pill to completely leave your system, does anyone know how long? I am starting to feel a little better, but still experiencing the same problems... just not as strong. The heart palps and chest pain, which makes me feel like I can't breath, scare me the most...

I am not sure if the Lisinopril is my problem. I have been on it for 3 yrs now. I do not have HBP -never had it. I developed Type II diabetes and am on Metformin. In the last two months, I have developed dizziness and light headedness. Also, last two months, heart palpations - and the itching is driving me crazy. Skin has developed tender sites - like the skin feels like very thin paper. I think I am going to stop it - even reading what's on this page - it may be what's causing these strange things. I did not know it was from viper venom. I also have dry mouth, but no consistent cough. Every now and then.

I noticed I didn't put my side effects. They are "Charlie horses" or leg cramps, I don't eat like I use to, back pain, tingling shoulders, neck pain, bloating out of this world, chest pains, and heart palpations. The bad thing is I called my local health unit and they told me to continue taking the pill. What should I do?

My story is long....I have been taking Yasmin for almost 2.5 years, since having my son. About 8 months after starting the pill we relocated to another state. About 6 months after that I began having shortness of breath and anxiety. I thought it was due to our relo, which was all positive but still those things can be stressful. My doctor thought it was anxiety and prescribed Zanax. I rarely took them...seemed like the anxiety subsided. A few months later I was back at my doctors office with extreme nausea and this crazy burning sensation down my arms and on my chest. I was diagnosed with H Pylori and treated for that and then had an endoscopy and found I had mild chronic gastritis. I was on Prevacid and then finally prescription Zantac for that. I went a few months and then the shortness of breath returned and I began having heart palpations. I then went back to my doctor. My heart rate was elevated so she sent me over to a cardiologist. He said my heart was fine. I then came down with a stomach virus, which is what I thought at the time, and ended up not taking my pill for 2 days and then began menstruating. I stayed off of it for a month and continued to have this terrible burning sensation on my skin. I started a new pill pack the next month and that's when the real hell began. I woke up around 1:30am with severe nausea and heart palpations. My husband took me to the ER - they said it was due to my stomach. I went back to see my GI doc she said that my stomach didn't cause that. I went to see my doctor b/c my GI doc thought it might be my BC pill because it just started happening after taking it again after being off of it for a month. I was sure it was the BC so I immediately stopped taking it. I had yet another period. Since stopping it, now it's been 14 days, I have had one anxiety attack after another, chest pains, shortness of breath, the burning skin, headaches, and major nausea. I can't eat or sleep. I can barely function. All my blood work, adrenal gland and thyroid tests are perfectly normal. No signs of anything wrong with me. I went to see my doctor today for a follow-up, she told me bluntly that I was mental! It was all in my head ! The pill could not cause this and I need to see a physiotherapist. I have never felt so bad physically in my life and then been kicked in the teeth so hard all in one day. I know all this is due to this drug. There is no other explanation. I am not crazy but I have a lot of people who believe I am. I am amazed at how the medical community is so uneducated and have become drug pushers and have forgotten problem solving. Thank you all for reading my story. I pray every minute that I will get through this and be normal again. All I want to do is enjoy the Christmas holidays with my family without being sick. That my friends is my Christmas wish. Best to all of you.

I took a Kenalog injection for allergies 9 years ago and swore I would never take another one. I had anxiety, depression, heart palpations, mood swings, high b/p and on and on...thought I was loosing my mind. Blood work showed I was post menapause and was put on hormones as well as anxiety meds and b/p meds. It took a few months to get somewhat back to normal. I could never get a medical professional to say the shot did it...but my "gut" said it did.

Nov. 15, 2006 I took another one, how STUPID. I had had strep throat, upper respiratory infection, seasonal asthma and was having a hard time bouncing back, before I knew it I had taken it again. It didn't seem to bother me for the first two weeks but then the blood pressure increase ( I was already taking a mild b/p pill), more anxiety than usual, rapid heart beat, mood swings, depression etc. returned. It took me a couple of days to figure out what was going on. My medical professional thought stress from the last few months was the contributing factor ( both my parents have died in the last 6 months and I had been caring for them for 2 years). I did not think that had caused the onset of all the above. I contacted my pharmacist who agreed with me that the shot was most likely the cause. Now I am stuck with all these horrible feelings until the shot wears off. I have been put on a much stronger b/p medication, which isn't working to it's full potential and I am taking zanax three times a day just to keep the anxiety at bay. Needless to say I have had them mark my medical chart..."ALLERGIC TO KENALOG". I will NEVER take another one.

Like alot of other women have said before, It all started out o.k. After the third shot I went to see my doctor who said that the results of treating endometriosis for 6 months with the monthly lupron injections had better data than after 3 months for putting the endo into some kind of remission so that I could be pain free. Was told the usual side effects list of hot flashes/night sweats, mood changes. Never heard about "the others". About three weeks ago I started having back pain. I have a three year old that I still pick up some times, so I thought I just pulled a muscle. But then I could move very well and was laying flat on my back for about two days. Went to m.d. and he gave me steroid and muscle relaxer - Didn't really seem to help, but got better over about 5 to 6 days. As soon as the back pain went away a headache came on - no thats an understatement a migraine on steroids - I couldn't stand any light or noise and the base of the back of my head just throbbed. Memory loss has been off the charts for conversations I had just the day before. I have deep pain in my hips, legs, and especially my right foot. When I stand up I have to wait a second because my foot tingles and I can't really feel if I'm walking on it, Then it wakes up and I go on. I have appointment with doctor again on October 5 o6, but also have phone call in to her to call me back about symptoms. This is really scaring me after reading some of these statements. Can anyone give any new advice - anyone been on this for 4 months or more and had these symptoms and stopped the shots and feels better. I don't care if the endo comes back, that pain was bad, put me in the emergency room 4 times, but not like this. Have I gone to far to come back? I hope the mother didn't let her daughter have the shot for an early period? May God help us all!

I took levaquin 750mg for UTI and had side effects of painful wrist, aching and fatigue, heart palpations, etc. Now my bladder will not empty and the infection is still here after 1 month. I am thinking the medicine has ruined my bladder response to empty. Anyone else out there with this and does it clear up? I am scheduled for ultrasound on Monday.

I tried Fosamax twice ...... the second try was two months after the first. Each time I developed a choking sensation, knee and back pain. My bite is much different, my kneecaps have drifted laterally and it is difficult to go up and down stairs or get in a pickup truck. I also am experiencing extreme fatigue, racing heart and sweating which has never occurred before. This happened each time by the second week. This time months later the symptoms are still with me. My doctor is clueless. I'm in the process of seeking another doctor. This is the result of taking a total of four tablets.

I was prescribed Cipro for a UTI and after taking for 1 day I started having rapid heart beats and heart palpatations. By the 4th day of taking it I had insomnia and heart palpatations that were so strong I couldn't sleep if I could. I stopped taking it as advised by my MD and after 3 days of being off it I still am feeling some heart flutters and heart palpations. Still having trouble sleeping.
I WILL NEVER TAKE THIS MEDICINE AGAIN!!!!

My doctor prescribed this medication for a sinus infection. Usually have been prescribed a Z-pack for this by my regular doctor. I took this medication right after returning home about middle afternoon. I was awake untill 5 am went to work and took again in the AM, with my regular morning breakfast of coffee and toast, didn't eat much during the rest of the day, not hungry felt like I was on diet pills (heart palpations, etc. ).
My headache which usually accompanys sinus infections got worse so I went to bed early because it was really a very bad headache and at 5AM I woke up in a cold sweat and started throwing up. After feeling the same at 8AM Since it was Saturday I opt to go to Urgent Care. Was seen by doctor by 9:30AM. By this time I was still throwing up, horrible headach, and cold sweats. My blood preasure was at all time hight 160 over 100. Needless to say this doctor gave me the Z-Pack and he asked to see me again on Monday morning at which time my blood preasure was back to normal 116 over 80.
I will never knowingly take this medication AGAIN! Please note: 1. I have never had high blood pressure, actually it is usually low. 2. When taking medications I will always drink more water than I normally do to help just to flush out my body, especially when I am taking sinus medications as they usually "dry me out".

memory problems-same
scratchy irritated throat- same
thrush- had about 4 times in the last year, currently last wk and i've been off advair for a month...
burning pain in stomach- went away when i went down to one dose a day.. my doc said i probably got an ulcer.

I'm 29 and I feel like I'm 40. I'm exhausted. If this doesn't go away I guess it might be something else but I think maybe my side effects are still lingering.
i know someone says it gets out of your system shortly but it sure doesn't feel that way for me. but then again i've been on it continuously for almost 3 years.

Like everyone else I was on Yasmin for about 2 years. The first year was great and I was telling everyone how great it was. Then all of a sudden a couple of months ago all the side effects hit hard. I was very emotional, irritable, hungry all the time, sleepy all the time, no sex drive, night sweats, heart palpations (sometimes) and high blood pressure.

I went to the doctor for a complete physical and he never put two and two together about my symptons and the pill. All my blood work showed that I was completely normal but inside of me I knew I wasn't. So I realized that I had to be my own advocate and do my own research. My husband stumbled upon this website and this website has helped me out soo much! I thought I was going crazy and was so relieved to see that it was this stupid pill. To me, it's not worth it anymore so my husband and I are using the natural family planning method. My husband has been so supportive and patient with all my craziness.

So, I have been off Yasmin since June 1st and the first week was great! My energy was back, I could stay up later, felt calmer and had a sex drive. However, right now I feel really irritable and no sex drive. I hope that this is just because my hormones are trying to re-adjust or I am still trying to get the Yasmin completely out of my system.

All I can say is to really listen to your body and if there is something inside of you saying that something is wrong then please don't ignore it. Most of the times we have to be our own advocates for our bodies!

I was feeling good this time last year, I had never been sick, or been in a hospital except when my son was borned. I had not been to a doctor in over 20 year. When I did go it was because of high blood pressure. That was when my health problems started. I have been to the emergency room twice. Each time tests were run and the results were fine and each time the doctors said that it was anxiety.
I begin to get sicker and sicker, (not because of my blood pressure, but because of the medications that was given to me. The lisinopril was causing really bad side effects and I believe that one of the side effects is anxiety. Each time that I would try and explain about how I was feeling another drug would be added. Xanax was prescribe but I never took it because it can become additive. I have only taken three drugs my entire life, and that is how I know that the way that I feel is not just in my mind, but from the medications.
The drugs were lisinopril 10 mg. for about 6 months, hctz 25 mg. for about a month for blood pressure and Zoloft which I was on for only 7 days at 25 mg. The Zoloft was given to be because of anxiety which I never had until I started lisinopril.
I got really sick in March of this year I began to experience heart palpations, loss of appetite, rapid heart rate, and other flu like symptoms plus a whole list of other things. Even the smell of food made me sick. I think it was the combination of lisinopril and the hctz. I was really scared. The doctor said that it was anxiety, even I know better than that and I am not a doctor. I think the medication did something to my body chemistry or something.
I could not convince my doctor that the side effect from the medications was causing my problems. And the reason that I know this is that I was never sick until I started taking them. Since my doctor refused to believe or listen to me I stopped taking the medications, because I was not getting better, I was getting worst. I know my body better than the doctor.
I still have not fully recovered from what happen to me in March and my doctor has not examined me or anything, just wants to give me more drugs. When I developed tinnitus, I told the doctor about it but I was not examined to find the cause. I have had it since March when I was put on the Zoloft.
How can you prescribe a medication without a test or an examination to determine the cause?
I have had blood work done ekg, x-rays heart and lung were ok. Although, I have been off of all medications for four months, there is something wrong, because I have not really felt well in all this time. I feel older that my years. At this point I am not sure what to do next. It is hard to get help if the doctor does not believe that you are sick. I explained about the pain my neck and shoulder muscles and the numbness in my fingers sometimes, and fatigue. These symptoms may be coming from the tinnitus, but nothing was even done. Now I guess I do have anxiety because I am always scared and worrying about my health

SIDE EFFECTS I have noticed: Severe headache 1x per month right before I start period, sporadic heart palpations and the one thing that made me log in to this site: seeing shimmery/glimmery spots and/or lines in my eyes. It seemed to go away after about 1hr, but it still concerns me.

My acne has actually cleared up. I am 34 yrs. My weight has remained the same. I have used these pills for about 7/8 months. I noticed at beginning I would get moody for about a week every cycle, but after noticing correlation, I planned and expected it and have overcome it.

NO fatigue, gas, diarrhea, breakthru bleading, bloatedness but I will say my joints are achy. I have started taking glucosamine sulfate and it's helped a lot! MY EYES ARE SO DRY IN THE MORNING! and perhaps my sex drive is a little down, but that could be due to other stresses. Overall this pill is okay.
