My daughter is now 20 years old. she received her 1st gardasil shot in 3/08 and the second in 8/08. She didn't get the last one and will not be getting it. From the day she got the first shot we should have known something. She nearly fainted immediately after both shots and complained of weakness and flu like symptoms. Started feeling poorly in the days and weeks to come. It was the end of her senior year the doctor tested her for mono. and it was negative but she had an extremely heavy schedule at high school. He chalked it up to the stress of that. Between the two shots she started having numbness and pains in her hands, elbows and arms. She continued to feel poorly and terribly irritable in the upcoming months. We saw a orthopedic doctor for her pains in her arms. He referred us to a neurologist. She was beginning her first year of pharmacy school and we put off the neurologist because she didn't have much time until spring break. During her 1st year of school after her 2nd shot. Her personality changed completely. Became insecure, moody, very anxious , constantly complaining of flu symptoms, bladder infections and had a hard time urinating. When my daughter returned home from her first year away at college I knew immediately that she had changed. She had been a very bright, intelligent, independent daughter and came home the daughter from hell. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. She was miserable, disliked pretty much everything. I had been talking with the doctor and friends over the course of the year and they all said that she was in a very stressful field (pharmacy) and college life takes some time to adjust. Then just a few weeks home from college she was complaining of dizziness, light headedness, headaches and saying she was having an episode. I thought maybe low blood sugars.....until I witnessed one. She was having Myoclonic seizures. She could feel them coming on but couldn't move or react. By the time I witness one of them she hadn't slept in 3 days. She was diagnosed within a week seeing a neurologist and having 50 to 60 a day. It took 4-5 weeks to get them under control in and out of the hospital . She has been on many seizure medicines it seemed like if it worked to stop the seizures she had crazy side effects. She was diagnosed with Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. No one in our family has ever had seizures. I asked about the shot right away everyone said no and it was dropped. Since last July 08 we have been trying to help our daughter get her life back and it has been the worst year of our lives. She was unable to return to pharmacy school. The first fall 08 she was completely disabled. It looked as if she had had a stroke. They were saying it was the meds or maybe she had a breakdown of some kind. I am learning that it was side effects of this horrible shot. This is why I am posting this lengthy message because I wanted to let other people know that you and your daughter are not crazy!! We just started 2 weeks ago investigating the possibility of the gardisil shot being the reason for this madness. We have learned many things and are very sure that it was the shot that change our daughter.. I was contacted by a friend of a friend about a similar girl having the same pains in her arms and the focal seizures. I am learning more and more everyday about similar situations.. If this information can help one person it was well worth the time to jot it down. I will be praying for all of your families out there dealing with side effects from this vaccination.. I will let you know what we hear when we visit the neurologist at the end of the month. Any comments or information that may help us help our daughter can be sent to ******

When I was using Singulair I had trouble sleeping, then I had trouble waking, even after 10 hours of sleep! I had racing heart rates, headaches often, my blood pressure was high, which it never was before, gained weight, felt like I was often on the verge of tears, mean aggressive and plain old nasty which in unlike me. Would have the craziest dreams or nightmares I ever had. I've been off for several months (10) I've been like the old me for quite awhile now. I had surgery in 2006 and had the usual testing done everything was normal. I am getting ready to have some surgery so my dr. ordered some test, an ekg which came back abnormal, it was explained to me that it was like my heartbeats didn't have a strong beat, maybe a heart attack or something. I never felt or knew anything about this. I am wondering if the singulair did something to my heart. I was on singulair for about 18 months. If it weren't for the ekg I would have never known this problem exsisted. I have no symptoms of any heart problems. I am a 52 year old woman who eats great and exercises daily (since I was in my 20's) . Anybody else have any similar reactions?

My heart rate spikes when my blood pressure gets markedly lower. I also get really dizzy when that happens. I know that so many of you are struggling with these side effects and I also know (based on experience) how nerve wracking it can be. Maybe...just maybe we aren't experiencing side effects from the drug exactly, but instead the effect of the drug working. Maybe once our bodies get used to the lowered pressure, our heart rates will normalize. Maybe when we adjust to the lowered pressure a little better, we won't get so dizzy....
Don't mean to sound preachy...I guess I'm just trying to suggest an alternative view...again, one that is based on experience../.

All I have to say is that if you start Yaz and have any kind of leg cramping--see your doctor and insist they make SURE it's not a DVT. I started Yaz last Spring. I am 41 but I'm a fitness fanatic who doesn't smoke or drink. I have a very low resting heart rate and exercise all the time. One would think I'd be a likely candidate for success on Yaz.
I went to my regular doctor in July because I had had a leg "cramp" at night and wanted to make sure it wasn't anything serious. My "cramp" was not the usual tightening of the calf muscle. It was an achy cramp at the side of my calf. I hadn't experienced anything like it previously. My doctor assured me it was muscular so I ignored it and went on to have two or three more episodes over the next few months.
My last "cramp" happened 3 or 4 days before I had what I originally thought were abdominal pains. I woke up early one morning thinking I had the worst gas I'd ever had. I tried all day to make myself feel better (walking on the treadmill, drinking lots of water). Finally that night I went to the ER since I was supposed to board a plane the next morning and wasn't sure what was wrong.
After many tests, I was diagnosed with a blood clot in each lung. I was hospitalized for 5 days and am now on blood thinners. From what I've learned, athletes can be at a greater risk for DVT than the general public since low heart rates and dehydration can mean less viscosity in the blood.
Needless to say, I'm not a big fan of Yaz. I think the hormones combined with the diuretic wreaked havoc on me. I have a hard enough time staying hydrated as it is without taking a diuretic. Little did I know I was putting my life at risk by taking that little pill.

i've experienced the anxiety and rapid heart rates, but not as severely as most people are posting here. i would say they are mild. my sex drive hasn't decreased (which surprises me since everyone else seems to have). i've been on yasmin for 2 years now and want to stop. i'm afraid of weight gain after stopping. has anyone experienced any significant weight gain after stopping this pill?
i did notice that i was incredibly moody with this pill. recently broke up with my bf and wondering if yasmin had anything to do with it or am i just trying to blame my breakup on something else? my ex said that i was constantly up and down and needy, we argued every week. has anyone felt 'needy' while on yasmin? or is it just me and not the pill?
i also experienced the pains in the head and neck and also thought i was getting a brain tumor! i'm sure its not the case but i was paranoid for awhile about it. i'm always fatigued, even though i make myself go to the gym, i'm very reluctant to do it. no motivation to do anything with myself.
i'm stopping yasmin now, hoping i'll feel better soon!

I have been taking xanax since Aug. of this year. I do not take them on a regular basis. I started having rapid heart rates dizziness, feeling like I was going to faint and shaking. I thought I was going yo have a heartattack. I was prescribed
zoloft and xanax. I did not like the side effects of zoloft. I usually take a half of a 0.5 to a whole one 2 or 3 times a week. They do help and I seem to sleep better.

This is not a first-hand experience, yet I would like to share the side-effects occured to my Mom. She was having high blood sugar levels for some time,
-- By tanzenpia | Reply | (1) replies | Private Message meThe Doc' insisted on Jenuvia though expensive and he said that since it is
produced naturally(from human body itself), there are no known side-effects.
Well I searched for Jenuvia side-effects because my Mom was complaining about increased heart rates, head aches and after going through the experiences on this page, well her joint-pains too can be attributed to Jenuvia.
India is not cautious of the usage of medicines, lack of monitoring authorities,Medics going for quick relief and perks on costly medicines from
Pharma Giants.. and to add a huge diabetic population in need of help..
It could adversely affect lives of millions.
