High temperature symptoms and conditions

I just started taking Doxycycline for Lyme disease and feel worse than I did before I had it. After taking a couple of pills, I vomited. Now I feel nausea, still have a high temperature, and have no taste for food. I am going to my doctor to see if there is another antibiotic out there to take. This one is horrible!

About two weeks about I was running a fever and had a horrible cough. After my temperature hit 103f I decided to go to the ER. The doctor told me I have a sinus infection. There they didn't really have much interest in what was wrong with me and decided that a Z-Pak would magically solve all my problems. So the first couple days my fever stopped, I felt a little better. Soon after that I had the WORST stomach pains I've ever had before. They brought me to tears, not to mention the diarrhea was pure water with little fecal matter.. I felt better with a high temperature than going through the side effects of Z-Pak. I also had dime sized amounts of brown colored phlegm that appeared when I coughed. I couldn't taste anything. For 6 straight days I was stuck to the couch or bed. Every time I stood up I got the drunken spins and felt like I was going to black out. It's been about 8 days since I started the Z-Pak and the cough has virtually went away. I still spit up a tiny amount of phelgm. I can eat, which I am ecstatic about since the only liquid things I drank while taking the anti biotic gave me severe diarrhea. The only symptom I have now is diarrhea. Only at least now I don't have to 'go' every 5 minutes or whenever I put anything in my stomach. I think the worst part of being sick was taking the dreaded ZPAK. Everyday I was thinking I could feel well enough to go out and do something only to have to race home to lay down.

Hello, I am getting Mirena inserted tomorrow evening. I am 32, mother of 2. Now that I have come across this website I am a bit nervous about all of the side effects I am reading about. I have been having serious problems with the pill over that past several months- bleeding/clotting for 2 weeks at a time, extreme moodiness and no sex drive to name a few. I will definitely keep an eye out for all of these symptoms everyone is talking about. I appreciate everyone's posting on this website. I am a 32 year old that was diagnosed with Thyroid nodules. I have been on Prednisone for only three days. This drug has given me my life back. Before taking this, I could not swallow or eat solid foods and had a high temperature because of the swelling. Only 24 hours after taking it, I felt almost 95% better. I do have a racing heart & I lost weight...down 5 pounds today. I only have 2 more days to go, but after reading these stories, I plan on only taking it short term. My heart goes out to all of you.

Uncontrollable dizziness, worst nausea ever, high temperature, sleepiness, all the bad stuff. Even though it did make the sore throat better, I would never, ever take it again.

I've been taking doxycycline for about 11 days now, and starting on day 3, I had occassional severe headaches that have been one long permanent severe headache for the past 4 days. I also have a high temperature, particularly in the evening, light hurts my eyes and I'm quite dizzy. I was prescribed this drug because of an infection in my uterus, and the doctor has told me to try to finish the prescription.
