Hiya Guest 39074,
You've just exactly described how I felt on Yasmin. I was on it for 3 years and I just really started to notice how crazy I was on it last month. I used to get really depressed, crying A LOT and then I finally noticed the pattern. Every month, I'd feel so anxious that I didn't know what to do with myself. Had some MAJOR fights with my boyfriend too. I was meant to change pill last month to Micro lite.... but the doctor forgot to remind me that I had to take it at the start of my period!! So I haven't been taking any pill for the last month, and I really have noticed a difference. I've only cried at films! Haven't felt anxious or anything. But I was wondering, those of you who have come off Yasmin.... was your period regular afterwards? But starting to make myself a bit paranoid because I've noticed an increase of discharge, more than usual. My period isn't due until Monday but I do tend to be a bit of a worrier. Would greatly appreciate any of your comments :)
I really think that if anyone who has started to take Yasmin take note of how you feel, your body feels during the month. I didn't know much about the pill when I started Yasmin 3 years ago and I didn't notice it was affecting my moods because back then I was pretty emotional before being on the pill, I thought that was just me cause I was on it for so long!

i have developed all sorts of other things recently, which are acid reflux, really bad chest pain, constant sore throat.
please help if you too have experienced any of the above.
i dont know what else to say really im so tired of feeling like this , i just want to feel normal again, it really gets me down.
please please reply

hiya silke
so sorry to hear your not well yet again.
at least you got your period regular, i think that this is a good sign silke, i think this shows that your body is slowly trying to regulate itself.
i have had regular periods since coming off yasmin, but noticed that the first six came every 22 days just like when i was on the yasmin but the last 2 came after 27 days. the first 2 off yasmin were really bad but then started getting better slowly, the first one that came after 27 days was awful, really heavy and so unbearable but the last period i had has not been too bad.
the conclusion i have come to is that before starting the yasmin my periods used to come between 24 and 27 days so my cycle is trying to get back to normal slowly.
i think the same is happening with you, slowly but surely your cycle will regulate itself. the first period is always really bad after coming off yasmin. you might get some light and some heavy cycles, but silke believe me they wiil get back to normal and you will be better i promise.
remember what you kept telling me, you will get better slowly, you will have good days and the bad days but one day the good days will over-ride the bad days.
i really hope this helps, i know i am waffling but i hope you understand what i am saying, if not post back and i wiil do my utmost to explain what i am talking about
you takecare and stay strong
thinking of you

hiya silke
ive just read your posts.
im so, so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.
i,m sorry i cant be any help as i dont understand why this is happening to any of us. all the knowledge i have has come from other ladies on this site and especially from you.
i thank you so much for that!
all that i can say is that be very strong. remember i had only been taking it for one year and feel awful most of the time and have only been of it for nearly seven months, but you had been taking it for 5 years so its probably just going to take a while longer for your body to get back to mormal.
please try and be calm and try not to think about it to much, keep telling yourself that you ARE going to get through this, just like you kept telling me silke, remember!
you have been a godsend for me and all the other women on this site, believe me!
you have been there for me and if i can be of any help to you. please let me know
god bless you silke, i really hope you are better soon
remember! STAY STRONG!!!!
to any other ladies out there who have been on the yasmin as long as silke, please please reply to her . she really needs you!!

i have been off yasmin for about 5 months and like you i also have a pain behind my ear and my neck also kills. the migraines are also due to the pill as are the vision problems.
i dont reall know much about the itching but i do get it occasionally, maybe it is due to the pill.
as for the lump its best to see your gp, its probably nothing but it is better to get it checked out.
in the meantime get off the horrible yasmin if you are not allready. its causing all these horrible problems for all us women
SILKE
thankyou so much for your response i feel i am getting better slowly!!!
god bless all us women suffering

hiya all, silke,
today is the 6th day after my period and i feel awful.
i have had the worst pain in the back of my head and neck since my period has started till now (14 days), its really bad and i am starting to question myself that is it the pill that has caused this or is something else wrong with my brain/head.
i have been of the yasmin for about 4months and 2 weeks, my periods have been regular since coming of the yasmin.
the head pain was reall bad when i first stopped especially on my period but then it gradually began to get better every month but this period has been the worst, the pain will just not go away.
i went to my gp twice this week and he has prescribed me with a antidepressant called "amitriptyline hydrochloride" anyone heard of this??
he told me that it is not addictive but is used nowadays for the treatment of migraines. Im too scared to take this and dont think i will, i dont want no more problems or side effects.
my gp has also referred me to see a neurologist to check my head out. im so scared what if somethings wrong with my head.
Another problem ive had is focusing. anybody else had this problem?? i feel as though somethings wrong with my eyes.
please please reply if anybody else has suffered with this type of head/eye pain
silke i especially hope your doing fine after the good news you gave us last week. i hope that it wasnt too tough for you on your cycle or after it.
thankyou all and god bless you

hiya all, silke,

i am on the first day of my 4th period after being of yasmin for about four months, i feel really anxious right now, the back of my neck and head feel really tense and my chest feels really tight. its awful i just cant wait to go to sleep and wake up in the morning and hope its gone.
silke i feel as though i cant focus with my eyes properly, did you get this too??
i have to admit i did go for a bit of a run today maybe this could have caused it. i feel as though i have no energy.
i hate this tablet it gets me so upset, i used to be so active, in yhe gym 4 times a week and now im too tired and scared to workout. my head feels funny if i do anything to strenous now. its awful.
please reply if anybody else has had any of these problems pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
silke i hope yor ok, i feel awful when i am on my period hope its not so bad for you.

hiya everyone, Silke,
hope you are all doing fine!!
i have now been of the yasmin for 3 and a half months and have been feeling a lot better. my periods have been pretty regular. the migraines are still there but not as bad as they used to be. the anxietty has calmed down too.
i am abit worried to have read the posts today especially the one from Hill dated thursday 20th july. its reall scared me.
silke arnt things supposed to get better around the 3-4 month mark? i dnt think i could bear the stress and pain that this pill caused me at its worst.
i have been taking evey day slowly and things are looking better and i dont want all them problems again. the last period i had was the only one that i didnt have migraines on since stopping yasmin. the 2 before that were awful i thought my head was going to explode or something. i couldnt take them.
just want to feel normal again and have the energy i used too.
i hope everybody gets better soon.
silke i really do hope your ok and getting through this with no problems
take care and god bless!!

hiya all, silke!
thankyou so much for posting back silke!!
i am sorry i didnt post earlier i just havnt been feeling myself, really withdrawn, needed to be myself and did not want to talk or be around anybody.
i feel a little better now but still not myself, i suppose i have to be patient and take each day as it comes.
one minute i am fine and the next the anxiety kicks in and i feel like crap, i just want to feel normal again.
oh silke, why is this happening i feel like a 80 year old, always so tired and ill all the time.
one good thing this pill has done for me is, its taught me to do my homework before taking any kind of medication ever again and also how hormones can affect the body, if there not in balance they can make you go mad.
sorry again, thankyou and god bless you silke
big hugs

hiya silke
thankyou for your comforting advice.
i still feel panicky today but not as bad as last night.
my periods have nearly finished so i guess i should be feeling better soon. " i hope so".
i seem to feel more panicky in the evenings and also i have really bad upper back pain which goes towards the back of my neck and head, also shooting pain in my head. i really hate it. it scares me so much which provokes the panicky feeling i have.
right now i am feeling so heavy in the upper part of my body. i just hope i make it through the night without having a panick attack. my ears and nose go all cold and i can feel myself going out of control. sso so horrible.
i wiil try to be strong and take a day as it comes.
i just hope the day comes when i wake up and i feel normal again.
i feel so weak like my body is drained and tired and i just want to sleep. i used to go to the gym but i feel to weak to do that now.
the other day i went shopping and as i got into the shopping centre i was walking towards the shop i needed to go to when i suddenly felt my head feel really funny, i thought to myself should i run back to the car so i could quickly get home or should i or would i be able to make it to the shop without collapsing.
i took deep breaths and eventually made it to the shop and back home. this really scared me though.
i will try not to let what happened above take me over though as i am a very outgoing person but it is really scary especially when your on your own.
thanks again silke and i hope that one day i too will be helping and comforting people on this forum just like you have done so for me.
BIG HUGS BACK TO TOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKYOU

Hiya girls! I've been on Yasmin for a month now and have been experiencing the worst stomach cramps of my life - I feel like I'm in labour ... I'm convinced a baby is going to suddenly pop out, it's horrendous. I've had a tiny bit of brownish blood but nothing more. The other thing is that my boobs are massive - swollen and sore - which I loathe. I've alway been flat chested and like being that way.
Has anyone else experienced the stomach cramps from hell? And will my boobs go down? I hate it. Not happy.

I am 26 years old. I've been on warfarin for almost eight years. I wish I had seen a site like this eight years ago when I started on warfarin (after DVT and P.E) I may have had some insight into the hellish two years that were to follow: hair-loss, depression, weight-gain. But I attributed all this to stress (it was pre-med varsity and I was under a lot of pressure academically).
-- By nadia123 | Reply | (3) replies | Private Message meAnyway, now my life is more settled, I eat right, exercise furiously 5 times a week...but I have digestive problems. Bloating, gas, overall discomfort in my stomach almost every night. I've cut out milk, wheat, coffee...nothing.
But tonight I started thinking...could it be the warfarin?
Does anyone experience or know about possible side-effects of warfarin on the digestive system, and does anyone have some useful advice????
