I just went to the Dr. for my second Lupron injection and to get some help with the side effects. Menopausal/emotional me, started crying!!! Gawd! I went in with my list of side effects from the last 3 months (and it was long!) and wondered what was worse, the pain of endometriosis or the life changing side effects of Lupron. My Dr. is wonderful and spent an hour with me; he decided to put me on Provera (progesterone or add-back therapy) for a week to see if the side effects improve. If they do, I get my second dose of Lupron in a week. If not, we stop it all and let my body slowly try to get back to normal (although I have never known what "normal" is since endometriosis) and see how the "therapy" worked. He is strongly encouraging me to follow through with the 6 month course as that is the recommended length of time for the best results. I'm 5'8" and have lost 10 lbs. in the last three months, I'm down to 107 lbs. He told me to try and eat more if I could (although my nausea is constant 24hrs. a day) and make sure to take a daily vitamin and calcium for bone loss. He said that he has never heard of blurred vision to be a side effect of Lupron, "But every woman is effected differently." I'm really hoping the Provera works - any kind of relief is better than this! I'm still having 3-4 hotflashes every hour with extreme exhaustion/fatigue, night sweats, daily migraine headaches, nausea 24hrs. a day, life changing mood swings, and shaky hands. He kept reminding me that this only 6 months out of my life - it's not forever ... forever feels like an awful long time when you can barely get out of bed!

I was prescribed lipitor, took ONE pill before I went to bed and woke up in the morning with severe pain in my right shoulder. I searched for lipitor and found so many side effects I have not taken another lipitor and will not. The pain moved to my left shoulder quite soon. Now it doesn't really hurt but there is a lump above my left shoulder blade, I was pushing on it and lifting my arm up and down hoping it might losen it up but the lump grew bigger. I quite often feel numb and week on my left side, kinda scary like I'm having a stroke. This has been going on for awhile so I don't think I'm stroking out or I would be gone by now. I do have high blood pressure, I think this ONE little lipitor pill made it worse as it's higher than it used to be. Maybe from stress as this shoulder problem and numbness upsets me from time to time. I also developed arthritis in two of my fingers, I have been taking FLAMMAGEN 1500 from the health food store and it has helped my fingers considerably, thank goodness. I'm not mentioning it to my M.D. as he was so excited about putting me on this stuff, poor guy is brainwashed. It really is a sin that our M.D.s are used in this way by big money pharmaceutical companies.

I had my asthma under control, avoiding anything that would cause problems, not medicines etc... until recently I had a bronchial spasm from a traumatic experience. After an ER visit I now have an inhaler and was prescribed Singulair. For someone who knows their body who has never really taking nothing, now I was taking Singulair. Singulair singled out my life and gave me a horrible life. I thought I was going to die because I felt like it. I thought I could be coming down with the flu or something. It made me feel very down and out leaving a yucky feeling. The normal activities I once enjoyed doing, that joy was gone. Insomnia set in after taking this medicine for the past 8 weeks now. As of yesterday after hearing reports of the disturbing side effects, I'm off of Singulair. I will have to resort to something else, because I want my life back.

Very bad rash that a week later has not gone away. Nexium actually burned my skin! I look like I have color like I just came from the beach. This is a dangerous drug. it works for the reflux, but the side effects arent worth it. I also develiped hip pain, like it was sucking the calcium out of the bone! The hip pain is gone, but i still have burning, itchy skin, and red all over, less than a week later after stopping, about 5 days off it now. Be careful if you are sensitive to hives, this medicine brought me to the emergency room with swollen hands and feet. it is dangerous!
