Hpv symptoms and conditions

I believe that my friable cervix is from the hormones so close to my cervix that are constantly being released from my NuvaRing. All tests for STDs and abnormalities came back clear. Other than that, I do not have any noticeable side effects.

My 13 year old daughter had her third shot on 02/16/09. Her first two shots did not seem to be a problem. She said her arm hurt really badly after the shot, and the next day she complained of leg pains she hadn't had before. Within a few days, she had a high fever with body aches like the flu, except it wasn't the flu. She felt better, but a week later she still had a low grade fever. She was tested and had strep throat, and was treated with anti-biotics. A week later she started having stomach cramps and diarrhea. It's now March 18th and she still has diarrhea. I think it's criminal this vaccination is being given to our young women. How on earth could anyone think "possibly" preventing HPV and/or cervical cancer is worth the risk of what my daughter and so many others are having to go through?

I am 23 and just completed my series of Gardasil. The first shot hurt right away but the pain subsided a few hours later and I had no other reaction. I had the same occurrence with the second shot. I just had the third shot 3 days ago. The day after I had it done I experienced significant pain in my arm, collarbone and shoulder, chest pain,chills, headache, fatigue, stomach cramps, and swelling in my arm. I could barely lift my arm to do anything. I had the same symptoms the 2nd day and today I am experiencing a low grade fever, muscle pain all over, extreme fatigue after plenty of sleep, headache, chest pain and heart burn, swollen glands and throat pain. I am pretty sure this is an effect of this vaccine. If I would have known sooner I would have not finished the series. I would advise anyone out there looking into this vaccine to NOT go through with it. I have an appt with my doctor tomorrow to discuss this.

Hello everyone. I have been taking YAZ for a little over two years now. It started off great. My mood was better, my cramps and back pain was diminished. However, over the last few months all of these symptoms and more have come back in a rage. I have not had a period in months and I have extreme pain in my uterus when I have sex. I have decided to stop taking my pill and see if I become regular again. I will keep you all posted. I don't know if it is all because I have been on it for so long or what, but it's freaking me out. I'm supposed to have a period. I've taken 4 pregnancy tests over the last 4 months and they are all negative. I also have HPV and I'm not far from cervical cancer. So if this pill is causing all of these problems, I want to stop them and have a baby before I have to have my cervix removed. Good Luck to all of you.

I am 31 years old. I have HPV. I got it when I was young I have 4 kids. I have never really had any problems from HPV. I do worry about the risk of cancer so I get my pap-smears. I had warts one time 2 was it and they went away on there own my doctor said that I did not need to treat them if I did not want to, that was over 10 years never had any more. My daughter is 13 and I have never even thought about getting her the vaccine, the thought of law makers telling me I have to makes me mad! I never did trust it and knew there would be problems it sounds like the CURE is worse then the disease! Just be careful what you decide to do. Don't buy in to the fear.

Hi, my gynae had given me a prescription to get the Gardasil Vaccine, because my boyfriend was diagnosed with genital warts and after my smear I was clean from any virus, so my doctor prescribed me with this vaccine to keep me protected from the HPV disease. After reading all these stories about this vaccine, I don't think im gonna go for it. It is sad to read that all these young lives have been destroyed due to this vaccine. I am from South Africa & this vaccine is new here. A lot of people are uneducated about HPV & Gardasil. I have only heard of HPV now. I am 22 and I'm glad to have stumbled upon a website like this. There is a desperate need for awareness. So is there any other way I can protect myself besides using the vaccine? I'm scared my boyfriend passes the virus onto me and what could he do?

I thought that Yaz would ba a good option for me, since the the doc explained that Yaz has and equal amount of hormones in each pill, which can help with relieveing symptoms of pms ie mood swings, acne, etc... After being on it for over a week I went in for a well woman exam and everything was fine..that was October 10. Then this past Sunday Nov 4 I thought I was experiencing a yeast infection but when my at home treatment of plain yogurt and no sugar diet wasn't working like normal. I got an appointment for a exam. It turns out I had a severe bacterial infection and lumps on the vaginal wall. They weren't sure if it was hpv or related to the bacterial vaginosis! Well if I didn't have those lumps at my last exam and I haven't been with anyone besides my fiance (who I don't think cheated) how could I have contracted hpv? They have me on some major antibiotic and I'm going back on Nov 26, well please pray for me because I don't know what I would do if this was related to Yaz or my fiance. But I have experienced serious nausea, no appetite, headaches, massive pimple (way worse then the ones I ever had before beginning Yaz), serious mood swings, depression (I had to withdraw from my classes this semester since I could no longer concentrate on any homework much less attend class) I just discovered this site today, and I'm going to quit taking Yaz today! Please if anyone believes me, pray that I can experience a healing miracle. I am also going to pray for the other ladies experiencing these horrible side effects! I was on Yasmin for 4 months. I HATED IT!!! What is the point of being on birth contraol if you never are able to have sex? I was constantly bleeding after the 1st month. It was as if I had my period for 3 striaght months - every single day. And not just spotting, heavy flow. I was depressed, miserable and in so much pain. I had constant cramps and back pain. I went to the ER 2 times because of this and I was told the 1st time that it was just my body's way of getting used to a different pill. After I was on it for 3 months, I went to the ER a second time because I was in so much pain and bleeding so heavily, that I could not get out of bed. I actually had to wear Depends, pads were not nearly enough! The dr at the ER the 2nd time told me that he has had a ton of cases with girls on Yasmin with the same problem and to stop taking it immediatly. About 3 or 4 days after I stopped taking it, everything was back to normal - Thank God! I was extremely hesitant to try another pill after that, but I decided to give Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo a chance and I love it. No random bleeding, no cramps and my periods are always light. Yasmin should be taken off of the market. I have a bunch of friends who tried it and went through the same problems I did.

I have been experiencing problems with the NuvaRing as well. After having my first ring in for just shy of two weeks, my hands and feet started itching a LOT. I just thought it was the change in weather and started lathering them with lotion thinking it would help. It didn't, and in fact, my symptoms worsened to hives on my butt, knees, and hands. My fingers swelled, along with my toes, making it painful to walk. I started researching side effects of NR and found several people having similar symptoms as me. At first I was worried that I was having an allergic reaction to the Gardasil (HPV) shot, which I got on Monday (the 15th), but my skin was starting to itch prior to my shot. After reading up on the NR, I'm starting to think that is what's causing my hives/welts and swelling! I already called my doctor about the swelling, because I thought it was from the Gardasil, but now that I'm almost certain that it's from the NR, I'm going to call them on Monday and tell them I need to stop using it. This is the 5th birth control I've been on in two years...it's getting ridiculous! They can't find one that works for me...the oral pills work for a month or two, and then I start breakthrough bleeding because the hormone levels are too low! I'm starting to think that my body rejects birth control, and that it's not for me! Is this possible?!

I took Yaz for the first time last night, and I have this fluttering in my stomach. Did anyone else experience this? It almost feels like I'm having stomach spasms.

i find it incredible the yasmin and yaz are both marketed for the treatment of pms and pmdd. it gave me most of the symptoms and more that it states it can help! i wonder how they came to the conclusion it cure many pms symptoms???? i had no problems at all before i went onto yasmin,i had never suffered anxiety or depression before. i am really quite concerned that this is being prescribed to women who are already in quite a bad hormonal situation,this drug can make it sooo much worse!
