Hunger pains symptoms and conditions

I have been on Yasmin for over 5 years, and just thought that I was a hypochondriac. After starting Yasmin I experienced severe nausea and unrelieved hunger pains. I saw a gastroenterologist who performed an EGD and Colonoscopy at the age of 20. It was normal and I was placed on Protonix to help with the GI issues. Also I have severe joint pains in my knees, hips, elbows and shoulders. I have been tested for everything from Lupus to Rheumatoid Arthritis, and it was all negative. I get headaches, have little sex drive if any, my skin is not clearer than usual and nor has it been since starting Yasmin. Thanks to all those people who have voiced their concerns and shared their stories, it makes us feel less crazy. I threw out all my birth control pills last night and I am going to try another form of contraceptive. I mean my headaches and chest pains have gotten so bad that they have forced me to go to the ER on several occasions. I DO NOT THINK THE BENEFITS OF YASMIN OUTWEIGH THE RISKS ASSOCIATED.

I had Mirena "installed" in November 2008. After the cramping, it seemed to be working fine and I didn't appear to have any side effects. In the middle of January, I started feeling light headed and tired. I had some nausea, which I thought was the flu. I also had a strange, tingling feeling in my legs and arms.

After a little over a week with these symptoms, I realized that I felt exactly the way I did when I was pregnant with my twins. I was even having severe hunger pains.

I took a pregnancy test, and when it came back negative, I went on the internet and found this site. The next day I had my Mirena removed (after being in only 2 months.) Within a day the nausea disappeared and after about 3 all of my other symptoms disappeared.

Didn't have bad side effect but kept a constant look out for what they listed on the paperwork. But I was in so much shoulder pain that I needed this too bad. (I've used it before (5 yrs) so I knew people had bad experiences).

Hunger pains were the worse but I kept food in the house and with me so that I could eat (protein) when the SHARP hunger pains happened.

I've been taking Adderall XR 30mg per day for two years. I've gained 20 pounds and feel terrible. My doctor keeps telling me he doesn't know why I'm gaining weight. That is making me feel even worse!!! Can anyone tell me what's going on??? I also take Wellburtin & Lexapro. Before I took any of these medications, I asked the doctor if I could gain weight from them. He told me that these particular drugs do not cause weight gain. The thing that's so frustrating is, I was put on these drugs for anxiety and depression (results of an abusive marriage). How can I begin to feel better about myself if I'm gaining lots of weight? That just kills it for me. Can anyone out there offer some advice? My doctor won't even let me take an appetite suppressant. I take Adderall in the A.M. If I want, I can go right back to bed and sleep again. I also get hunger pains about 2 hours later!!! Help!!

Rash began on hands and feet and spread all over including eyelids. Swelling in hands and feet with tingles like severe pins and needles. Bloating and hunger pains 24/7 then agitation and now depression. Lastly, I have lost half my hair and have a huge bald spot on top of my head. Ohh also tight pain in chest so severe I have an EKG tomorrow.

I am up at this moment, because my stomach is hurting from the lithium. I've been on it now for about a year, but my stomach just started hurting at night after about an hour after taking it for about three months now. Is anyone else experiencing this? I read one post above about it, but that's all. There is no vomiting, but just upset stomach. It keeps me awake. I'm on lithium and lamictal, and Topomax. If you experience this, is anyone taking anything for the nausea? Thank you! And everyone hang in there! You're in my prayers! Don't give up!

i have been on 60 mg for 3 months and before that 20 mg since sept 05.. i have moon face, swollen tummy stretch marks all over my body, horrible heart burn, rapid heart beat, night sweats, insomnia, crazy hunger pains but cant seem to eat, mood swings, depression, fatigue, weak muscles, shaky, severe hot flashes, flushed face and i constantly feel sick to my tummy... you name it i got.. this drug is horrible, cant wait to be off which seems like an eternity :( and the worst is yet to come because i hear that your body becomes addicted to it and the side effects off being weaned off are just terrible and you end up being kept on just to flush out your system

Sooo...I've been on Yasmin for a little over two months. In that time I have LOST ten pounds. I am attributing this to my "messed up" appetite. I will randomly get incredibly hungry, make myself some food, and then feel grossly full before I even take a bite. Luckily, my heart feels fluttery if I don't eat anything, so I force down a meal here or there. The sharp hunger pains before the loss of appetite seems very strange to me. Although I look better in that little red dress than I did three months ago, my body feels entirely less healthy. Take this medication cautiously.

I too have been experiencing alot of the side effects listed in the many testimonials here. I didn't relate what was happening, but just noticed that there was an inconcistency in the way I felt while taking Advair. Since the pollen season has started, I began taking l/2 doses of Advair a day... I exercise intensely about 4/5 times a week, and noticed that instead of having more "lung" endurance I felt like I almost had the onset of a chest cold or bronchitis. I would get very out of breath the harder I exercised....with muscle fatigue, hipe pain, long recovery time, raspy throat w/phlegm. The wierd thing too was that I had hunger pains in the morning that would continue even after I had eaten... almost like a burning feeling. I just stopped taking Advair, and use my inhaler when needed. I still feel very fatigued, which is very frustrating to someone who exercises as much as I do. It's been about two days, and I am waiting to feel better, hopefully.

I didn't realize you shouldn't lay down after taking this drug until 3 days after taking it. I now have severe stomach pains almost like very painful hunger pains and acidy feeling. They come during the night and during the day. I finished the perscription yesterday but still have the pains.

I took it at 60mg a day for 3 days then 10mg a day for 4 days for severe allergies (hay fever). I have had terrible headaches every day, frustration to no end, hot flashes. On day 2 I had severe leg pains in both legs that went away with in a few hours. I've had a lot of problems concentrating. My mind feels like it's racing constantly. My cheeks are puffy (moon face) started within day 2 and day 3..at this point my cheeks just hurt inside..ah. It's really uncomfortable. I've had strange/bizarre moments of anger/rage that are a bit frightening. Today is my last day of taking it, at last! It has helped a lot with my allergies though. I usually have cold feet and hands and since I've been on this all have been roasty toasty. Oh day 2 I did have a brief dizzy moment where I saw black spots before my eyes for a few seconds that scared me. The hunger pains are annoying. The headache starts in the morning and builds through out the day. If I lay down for a while and get a few brief nods off of sleep..it seems to do the trick. It's wierd. I don't recognize my face in the mirror much really. Not a good feeling.
