I have been on Loestrin 24 fe for 12 days after years of no oral contraception. I noticed that on day 9, I started spotting. I am not very happy about this. How can you possibly feel like having sex knowing that you are bleeding and you don't know when it's going to stop? I am also very moody and depressed. I am normally a very happy person. I also noticed that I have been breaking out with acne. I have always been complimented on my complexion. I am not happy with the way it has made me out to be; therefore, I am going to stop taking it.

i was originally prescribed bendrofluazide for high bp but this caused gout. a locum doctor then changed the prescription to lisinopril. i have been taking it for a couple of years and since then i have had various problems. i had severe itching of my hands and then all over my body. a friend suggested this could have been caused by the pain killers i was taking - paracetamol and codeine - so i changed this to to a different one (paracetamol and dihydrocodeine). but although the itching lessened it still goes on. also i have discomfort in both my big toes (could this still be gout?) when i visit the doc my bp is high they tell me, but when i take it at home it is within the correct limits. i suffer from anxiety anyway so tend to put any symptoms down to this but having found this site i realise that maybe this is wrong and that other people have also had similar problems to those i have encountered.
i am not happy with the big drug companies as so many others of you also feel. i was put on strontium ranelate for osteoporosis but the aspartame in this made me so ill i had to stop taking it. the drug company says it is not going to take this ingredient out despite several people getting in touch with them.
i don't know what to do about the lisinopril as i am worried that if i just stop taking it there may be other problems. i have been on bp drugs for around seven years. i am coming up to my seventieth birthday. any ideas would be welcome please.

This is crazy that I stumbled across this website.. as I went on the official website and could NOT find any of the symptoms that I was having listed in there. In fact they state that the side effects would be less than the pill. Well it has been 3 weeks since I have had the Mirena inserted and I have had and extreme headach since, nonstop bleeding, vomiting on some occasions, dizzy and fainting spells, loss of appetite which has caused a sudden loss of weight (some may not mind that part but I really shouldn't lose any more!!), run down, and depressed. I finally called my dr today and explained all of these and they stated that they must see me today. I have 3 beautiful girls and my husband and I are both FINISHED with having children. My reasoning for choosing the Mirena was that my husband was told that he was high risk for excessive bleeding for a vasectomy so I figured I would give this a try. I am not happy with this and would just assume go and have a tubal done!

I have been on lithium carbonate for 5 monthes. My hair has just started falling out a few weeks ago and I am not happy about this! I am also about 25 pounds overweight. I am very groggy in the morning- I take my pill at night. I am actually quite tired alot of the time, and thirsty but that isn't too bad, I drink alot of water. I went on lithium for bipolar disorder. I don't feel a change with my usual moods due to life, stress etc, but I am not manic.

After being diagnosed with “mild asthma” I was prescribed Adviar. Nothing was discussed as far a side effects of Adviar and the accompanying pamphlet did not raise any “red flags” but after just a month of being on this drug I gained over 20 lbs.!! I became emotional and cried easily, fatigued, dizzy, retained fluid. I know I should not have but immediately stopped taking Adviar. I all ready feel better and the weight is dropping fast! This drug should be removed from the market and I am not happy with the Dr. who prescribed it!

Not sure my story applies to most women, but I'm having to take a double dose every day because I haven't stopped bleeding since my son was born in April. I'm scheduled for an ablation which I am not happy about. This is a procedure which is supposed to stop the bleeding permanently. They actually burn the blood vessels inside the uterus to seal them off. I just wish the bleeding would stop on its own like it's supposed to. It finally did stop after a week of taking Femcon fe, 2 at a time and so after three weeks I cut it down to one a day - hoping nothing would happen, but I started bleeding again the second day. I guess I should count my lucky stars that I'm not having migraines. But the nausea and bloating and extreme fatigue and depression are what made me find this site. I've also gained weight - even since starting to exercise again! Seems like every couple of days I just hit a wall and can't carry on any more. Im lucky to have a supporting husband who takes over the care of the house and kids for a few hours while I have a meltdown and some rest! I have two more weeks to go and I'm really hoping to never have to look at another birth control pill again! What the heck was the point of having my tubes tied during my c-section if I have to take pills anyway AND get my uterus messed with? Right now I feel pregnant all over again -- just without the wonderful package at the end of it!

My 7 year old son was just diagnosed with OCD and has been prescribed Prozac. I am not happy about this at all. I have had him on Prozac for one week now and thought I would check the internet on the effects of Prozac and Singulair on kids and was shocked to find out all of his current problems may be a result of the Singulair. I am taking him off of it effective today! This is after about 3+ years of being on Singulair. I am very disturbed at what I am reading about Singulair and the fact that it may be responsible for all of the terrible problems that he has been experiencing. He is beautiful, smart little boy that has been experiencing terrible thoughts and feelings lately to the point where he has told me that he wishes he was dead. I feel so bad that I did not check sooner. He is off Singulair today. I am notifying his pediatrician and hope this will result in a much happier little boy. I will write with results in a couple of months.

Hello- I was Dx with Sarcoidosis in February, 2007. My lung specialist put me on 20mg Prednisone, increasing to 40mg within two weeks. My Sarcoid symptoms were from enlarged lymph- extreme trouble breathing, middle and lower back pain, kidney pain. Within a week of being at the 40mg level my heart rate and BP became so erratic that he had to start weaning me down. Initially I had extreme energy which felt good after suffering from fatigue but was short lived due to the cardiac problems.
The Prednisone has resolved much of my inflammation for the Sarcoid but I will not go on this again. I have been weaning now for over three weeks. Down under 5mg of Prednisone and it is almost unbearable. Each time I took a drop my mental symptoms became intolerable. Anxiety, extreme fatigue with extreme weakness, irrational thoughts, blurred vision. Within the last couple of days I could hardly get myself out of bed. My weight has increased steadily, bloating stomach, stiff joints, skin rash.
My biggest complaint is that doctors are not giving us enough information as to how this will affect from a negative side. Yes, it takes care of the inflammation but no one prepared me for these awful side effects and withdrawal symptoms. I feel like a nut case most of the time with no coping skills.

I started Apri on the first day of my period. I had a regular 7 day period but am now starting my 3rd week and have been bleeding every single day. The nurse calls that breakthrough bleeding..an unfortunate side effect of starting the pill, huh? Everyday? I am not happy about this. My whole purpose in taking this is so that I won't be on my period at the end of next month while on my 20th anniversary in the Caribbean! Any ideas of what to do? I am starting right into the next pack without taking the placebos. Anyone know when the bleeding finally stops?????

I just finished my 10 day cycle of sulfameth/trimeth for a sever sinus infection - I have barely been able to eat the whole time - forcing myself to when I started to feel too weak - i love food and it has not appealed to me. I have felt nauseus and like there was a granite slab sitting in thepit of my stomach. I have also been extrmeely moody - just thought that was from lack of eating. Definitely dehydrated. Been getting leg cramps the whole time and one day I couldn't touch the skin on my right calf - i thought I had caused nerve damage from a short jog on the beach, but it was gone the next day. Then, lo and behold, on today, the last day, the nausea is still there, I feel tired and my back is really sore and I am covered head to toe in a really ugly rash. SOund familiar? I was told that there were no side effects to this drug except for dehydration. THis is first first time I have taken antibiotics in 10 years and I am not happy with the decision, but was so desparate.

Hi ladies,
I am a 40 year old woman. I have been with my husband 21 years and have three children. I have had very regular periods, every 26 days, and would consider myself to be a very rational, logical person. I don't have mood swings often and am very even tempered. My libido is high and have what my husband refers to my "horny week" right after my period. We have regular sex and when talking to my friends, I find that we are better then most as far as frequency. My husband and I planned a trip to Mexico in April and as luck would have it, was due to start my period the day we were to leave. I researched the web to find out if there were ways of stopping or changing your cycle because I really did not want to be on my period on the first vacation we have ever been on. Although I have had my tubes tied and don't need them I found that the bcp was an option so decided to go that route. I went to my O.B. and told him that I was having irregular periods and wanted to know if he would precribe the pill to regulate my cycle. Did I say I was logical? Hmmm. He put me on Yasmin and I started taking them on the 7th of this month, March, the second day of my regular period. I was fine for three days and then started to notice changes in appitite. He told me that it would happen and that since i was "Aware of my diet" that it should not be a problem. Wrongo!! I have to constantly tell myself that I am not hungry but that is nothing compared to what happened on the 12th, six days into the packet. I went into a mood that can only be described as horrific. I was mad and there was no reason for it. No one could say anything right and after a few hours of thinking about it I figured out it was the Yasmin. I started spotting the next day and it has not stopped. I am not happy, being short with my family all the time. I don't want to do anything and am very tired all the time but can not sleep well. I decided to keep taking the pills and see if it levels out but my husband is going nuts. He got on the computer at work and looked up Yasmin and got this web site and sent it to me. All I can say is WOW!!! I have decided to stop right now. So, here is my question. If I stop taking the pill will my period start right away? Will it last forever or be regular. I read the information that came with the pill and it does not address that at all just saying that I could get pregnant. I know I have already messed up my cycle but does anyone know how long it will take to regulate after taking them such a short time? I was thinking that maybe I should just continue to take them until after Mexico. I am very thankful that I read this site and feel much sympathy for all the woman I read about. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them
Thank you,
Holly

**Sorry about my previous post. I cut and paste from Word and it changes some of the characters for some reason and makes it hard to read. Here is the corrected version.**
I started taking Advair 250/50 (I started out with a higher dose for 2 or 3 weeks) on October 9, 2004 after a weekend stay at the hospital. Before this time, I was not taking any medication except for my Albuterol inhaler, which I took mostly at night. I often have a worse time with asthma during the winter, but a visit to the emergency room has only happened 3 times in my life.
Anyway, after leaving the hospital, I noticed right away that my eyesight was blurry. My husband joked that it was because I was used to the close walls in the hospital and that I wasn't used to seeing far away. Well, I thought nothing more of it until I found this website. I am still not seeing as well and today (11-19-04) I stepped on the scale and noticed that I had gained 10 pounds. :( I weighed 120 before the hospital ( I am 31 years old and 5'2). I am not happy.
I have not wheezed even a squeak since taking Advair and have not touched the Albuterol. Is it worth it?
I have also had a few minor headaches, my face broke out once, I had one night where I couldn't sleep because of intense heartburn (I have never experienced this before!), and my stomach seems puffy.
Like someone else said, I think I will stop taking it when winter is over. I really love being able to do aerobics and not having to take my Albuterol. I don't wheeze at all after exercise now, but what exactly is the point of exercising if I am gaining weight?? :p

I am a 47 year old male. I weigh 150#. Been on Lisinopril
5 mg. for 4 weeks. Terrible dry cough which at times makes me gag. Worse at night. I have painful intestinal pains and loose watery stools all day long. I also am experiencing a strange neck and head sweating that lasts all day. I have to have a small fan at my desk aimed at my face to feel comfortable.
All these symptoms started a few days after beginning Lisinopril.
The good thing is that my BP is down nicely.
I am not happy at all with this drug and will tell my Doctor this on Monday. As far as I am concerned, it isn't worth the trouble to keep my BP down.

i have just started Neurontin for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I had to switch doctors (Insurance Purposes) and this doc took me off of everything and gave me Neurontin. 3 weeks in to it and 1200mg later I feel light headed, angry, crying spells and a general feeling of hopelessness. I am not happy with this drug and from what I understand it causes much weight gain. Anyone experienced this?

I was given Avelox to treat an upper respiratory infection.I have been throwing up nonstop & it was so severe it felt like my face was going to explode, and my eyes were bloodshot. I just feeling like I am not even here. I am not happy with this medication at all and will not be taking it anymore. The reaction started not even 20minutes after the first pill, and there is no warning given for all of this.
