Took leviquin 500 for 8 days before I realized what was happening to me. Side effects included: severe panic, altered mental state, constant sleep, loss of appetite, pounding heart rate. After 2 trips to the ER no help was provided. I stoped the Leviquin early (was supposed to take it for 3 wks) and immediately started feeling better. The anxiety is much less but still present and I still sleep all the time.
Has anyone had similar experiences and, more importantly, how long does this last?
Please help!

I have been on Toprol for several years. I used to be a ball of energy. Now I can hardly clean the house. I am having pains in both my arms. Have problems with insomnia and have to take Unisom each night just to sleep. Frequent bathroom trips at night keep me up. Obviously some of my side effects are the same as experienced by others. My question is, why the heck the pharmaceutical companies get away with putting this kind of stuff on the market. More importantly why does the FDA let them get away with it?
Physicians need to do a better job of listening to their patients and not just poo poo away their symptoms as all in your head. The stuff they are prescribing can be dangerous; they need to listen to the side effects their patients are reporting and address the issues.

I have been on Ovcon for only three weeks, and am already considering stopping it. Within 5 days of beginning my first packet, my (usually clear) skin broke out like I have never before seen. My hair and skin are also remarkably oily for the first time in my life. Additionally, I have been experiencing minor pains in my ovaries, loss of appetite and have been hyper-emotional (bordering alreaady on depression). I have also been remarkably tired throughout the day, and am having trouble getting up in the morning, which is odd since I am usually an early riser. Are these effects normal? More importantly, do they go away once one has become habituated to the drug? I can't imagine going on like this.

I have had 3 shots at 6 month intervals and the last was probably about a year ago. My doctor and nurse did not inform me of any side effects.
My hayfever remained and I developed a rough patch of skin on top of right buttock which developed into a dent. The skin inside the dent which is about 3 thumbsizes wide and deep is uneven and looks celulittey it is often a purpley colour. I was sent to see a specialist dermatologist at hospital who proceeded to do a biopspy. Still no mention of kenalogue... The biopsy was inconclusive and they decided I may have morphoea which they treated me for - unsuccessfully.
I recently saw a specialist for my hayfever who found out about my kenalog jabs and warned me off it saying it was dangerous for muscles. I put 2 and 2 together saw this site and realise now that all I have been mistreated for morphoea, put through a biopsy and all for nothing. Kenalog has caused my indentation.
I am angry and considering legal action - they have wasted my time for the last year of not knowing and being mis treated and more importantly why are we not told that this drug poses such unpleasant side effects. I would never have had it done if I'd known!!!!
Our doctors did not give us all the information about this drug so we could make an informed choice! We are victims of thier neglect!

To Voicesi-
Actually, reading through alot of what I've found in the last few days I found to be extremely helpful. I've instead found it quite annoying to see this other private site that was created advertised on a daily basis. While I think it could be useful, looking at it, just found more of a dialogue without much helpful information.
I don't know if you read through much of it, but I found almost every side effect or many I have personally experienced in these more recent information posts and more importantly things that I could attribute the causes to from yasmin. This was very valuable and much easier than sifting through alot of emotion and what seemed to be a strange dialogue between yourself, "flowerbabies" and Kim. That was not helpful at all. In addition, while I appreciate that this site was set up for sharing information, I find facts and causes extremely helpful as I have been conducting my own research and learning quite a bit in addition to these posts others are sharing.
So, thank you, to whomever is sharing all of this helpful information. I find it very easy to read through and most informative. Please continue to do so. I think it could be very helpful for new women coming to this site as well.
