After 2 years on Avodart: no ejaculate, almost total impotence and the worst is a major reduction in penis size ( 2 inches lost in erect penis). This is a major side effect that had never been mentioned either by my physician or in any literature. There is no mention that 5-alpha reductase inhibitors can be a trigger for the production of estrogen in men - causing male breasts to increase in size.

I took two 150 mg sustained-release pills of Wellbutrin for two days. On the first day, it made me totally impotent. The second day a widespread inflammation in the genital area followed, at which point I stopped taking it. It took me more than two weeks to recover. I had severe pain in the lower abdominal area and genitals, impotence and a general sense of inflammation stretching from the lower abdomen as far as the anus. One of the worst experiences of my life

I was on Luvox since it became available in the United States;Over 12 years. I was prescribed Luvox mainly for my OCD and as the years passed, I noticed obvious emotional blunting, lethargy;Mind was in a fog, retarded ejaculation, the works.

Have slowly reduced dosage from 300 Mg/Dy to 100 Mg/Dy with INCREDIBLE RESULTS such as greater energy, weight loss, feeling less "detached" and "cold," SOME anger (harmless & intermittent), lucid thinking-NO change in OCD symptoms whatsoever. Less impotence-All positives.

Will soon begin taking Choline and other B-Vitamin supplements to ease the final stages of withdrawal from this highly addictive drug that thankfully has the shortest half life of the SSRIs.

Turns out that Luvox leaves the brain BEFORE it leaves some of the internal organs it "lingers" in before total clearance from the body.

Plan to deal with my OCD and severe depression with a combination of therapy;A serious attitude change, nutrition, SENSIBLE supplementation and exercise.

Will STAY on my Klonopin (2 1/2 Mg/Dy) because I have a phobic mindset RE: My panic attacks which the Klonopin has kept at bay for the most part.

ALL psychotropics, neuroleptics and other "mind candy" is toxic and usually only MASKS the symptoms, giving the illusion of "treating the symptoms" of a particular disorder (set of).

And for what its worth, I USED to be super-pro medication. Just too many bad side-effects from various medications, including Luvox over most of my life.

Plan on going off of the last 100 Mg of Luvox VERY, VERY SLOWLY;Don't need any "Seretonin rebound syndrome."

Oh.... And I forgot an important side effect for males and chief complaint..
My g/f and I *normally* have at least 2 sessions a night, and I have found that Seroquel alone can decrease libido (sex drive). Impotence, or a general lack of sex interest from meds is a real bummer, and after a bit of trial and error I isolated a correlation to Seroquel as being the culprit. Take your nighttime dose after sex. The foggy/lethargic feeling has some bearing on sexual performance/arousal for males. Just my $.02

The most serious side effect of Keppra on me was loss of libido/impotence. I've been taking it for a year and this has seriously affected my sexual realtionship with my wife. I do hope I can get a substitute drug soon from my neuro.

I am 53 year old male and began taking Diovan 160 dose in JULY 2002. I have dizziness, nausea, fatigue, some weight gain but changed diet and lost the extra 20 lbs. Of course, I realize the fatigue is due to the insomnia. I can be feeling OK and all of a sudden feel nausea, chills, sweats and have to lay down sometimes it last for days; other times just a few hours. I have a thumping in my throat with every heartbeat, which causes a headache. Am always complaining of lower back and joint pain. My eyesight is ever changing for the worst, has is my impotence. Open to natural ways to lower BP.

Hi all. I was diagnosed 3 or 4 years ago with epilepsy. So far, I have on about 5 different epilepsy meds. I can't recall the first 3 but had to get off them because of physical side-effects. My last one was Dilatin which worked pretty well for a year. I slept great - 8 hours on the dot. Then, I started to have short seizures that began to successively lengthen. So, I was switched to Keppra.

I started at 250mg/2xday on Keppra and now am up to 1000mg/2xday. I also started taking B6 100mg/day. A couple of days after starting Keppra, I started to get slight headaches. These went away after about 2 weeks. I also got a numb patch on the same place on the bottom of each foot. When I went up to 500mg/2xday, the numb patch spread, I started to feel off-balance, and I started to get the "rage" symptoms. I went up to 1000mg/2xday and most of the bottom of my two feet went numb and cold, I began to get slight tingling in my fingers and a mild case of tightness in my chest. I still felt off-balance and the rage symptoms were there. It began to get hard to get to sleep and I would get up unnecessarily early and not be able to fall back asleep. I want off this med. Maybe it works great for other people but for me it I take it at the levels I need to, I won't be able to work or do much of anything.

Impotence, etc:

I have been on Geodon for about 8 months to treat my schizophrenia. It has given me sexual dysfunction: decreased libido, impotence, decreased sensation and excitement, and premature ejaculation. I did not have these problems before I started antipsychotic medicine. I had my testosterone and prolactin levels checked and they are normal, so it is most likely the medicine. I am rather angry that I wasn't warned that this could happen from my medicines.

Other side effects I have experienced are dizziness and teeth clenching. The dizziness went away after my dose was increased to 120 mg. The teeth clenching went away after a few months. Geodon also seems to have affected my sleep. I would sleep about 12 hours a night. However, the long sleeping has decreased over the months to about 9 hours of sleep per night.

Despite these side effects, the Geodon has successfully treated my hallucinating and delusions. I occasionally experience anhedonia and it isn't clear yet whether or not the Geodon treats this. It certainly doesn't treat it on a lower dose. I hope this information is helpful to other people.

My husband has been taking lisinopril for one month. He is complaining of extreme weakness in his arms and legs and at times it is so bad that he feels like he cannot lift them. This drug has also caused impotence and the doctor who prescribed this is totally unconcerned.

I have been taking lisinopril for about 5 years or so. I don't have the coughing that so many do although I do have a slight cough occasionally and my voice is hoarse most of the time.
The question I have is have any of you noticed a decreased libido or any sexual dysfunctions such as impotence. It may be just getting old but after reading all the different sideeffects of this drug I am beginning to suspect this drug is creating this problem for me

I originaly was prescribed verapamil (240gm) for HBP of 240/110. This did bring it down to 160/90 after a week or two, then I was prescribed initially 5mg and then 10 mg of lisinipril. I've been on these tablets now for four years.

Blood pressure now runs around 130/70.

I haven't attributed any problems to Lisinipril but I have gradually found I need to urinate very frequently, even having to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. Impotence is another problem, both of these difficulties my doctor put's down to being age related .(I'm 57) Recent prostate examination did not find enlargement and PSA test was negative.

I'm in otherwise wise excellent health, eating sensibly, 5'9" weighing 148 Lbs, exercising at gym 3 times a week, plus golf and walking.

I noted someone else attributed floaters in the eye being a side effect of this pill. I too experienced this in both eyes . Examination discovered both retinas had torn. I was immediatelly operated and thankfully operation was successful . Hospital did not associate Lisinipril with this condition.

Doctor has tried other tablets to help with urinary problem, nothing has worked so far.

I did not have any of these health problems until after I had started lisinipril and verapamil. I do not have evidence that either or both are the the cause .

If anyone knows of any proved association I'd love to know.

I'm Bipolar Mixed, OCD and I've been taking 50 mg. Topamax daily for about 3 months now and I have noticed fatigue, mild depression, decreased libido, and impotence since using this drug. I also take Paxil 20 mg. and Wellbutrin 150 mg. to try and combat the impotence. I don't know if I will have to discontinue Topamax, increase Wellbutrin or add Viagra; these meds are getting expensive. The Topamax calms my mood and helps with the appetite increase from Paxil though. Also, I noticed an increase in the decrease of libido once i started Topamax in addition to Paxil's contributing impotence. Any input would be helpful.

I have been taking Diovan for 3 months, and I developed bad coughing for more than 5 weeks. I stopped Diovan 5 days ago and I feel much better (no cough), but my head is about to blow and my ears are burning. The doctor is saying that diovan is the best for my age (33 yrs) as everything else could have much worse side effects, impotence in particular. Any suggestions? (I was taking Diovan 80 once a day).
