This is not a first-hand experience, yet I would like to share the side-effects occured to my Mom. She was having high blood sugar levels for some time,
The Doc' insisted on Jenuvia though expensive and he said that since it is
produced naturally(from human body itself), there are no known side-effects.
Well I searched for Jenuvia side-effects because my Mom was complaining about increased heart rates, head aches and after going through the experiences on this page, well her joint-pains too can be attributed to Jenuvia.
India is not cautious of the usage of medicines, lack of monitoring authorities,Medics going for quick relief and perks on costly medicines from
Pharma Giants.. and to add a huge diabetic population in need of help..
It could adversely affect lives of millions.

Although I suffer from Bi-polar, BPD and PTSD my doctor prescribed me Duromine to lose the weight I had gained from using seroquel. My prescribed dose is 600mg. The duromine sent me absolutely nuts and being a recovering addict and alcoholic i used more than the dose prescribed. Then I found I could not sleep and am now (after stopping taking the duromine) trying to cut the seroquel down as I got up to taking 1500mg a night. I'm now on 900mg and strange things happen in the night. I live alone with two dogs....my babies... and although i cant recall it things happen. the dishes are done or the weirdest one my dogs wear fleeces and coats in winter. I woke to find India (one of my dogs) with her coat and fleece off and folded neatly on the shelf. I don't recall doing this. Just a warning for thoes suffering from dry mouth and constant thirst, i ended up drinking so much water that i was flushing the sodium out of my body. your sodium levels should be between 136-145. my levels were 117. Had they dropped to 113 I would have had irreversible brain damage. I was in hospital twice because of this. I now take ten salt pills throughout the day to make sure my sodium levels are ok...........VERY SCARY

Ayurvedic Herbal Treatment for Hypertension

Hello. I have been dealing with my hypertension now for approximately 1-1/2 years now and those of you that have read my findings through my previous posts know that I'm always looking for natural supplements to stay off of the lisinopril. I stumbled onto a new herb for bp. You absolutely have to try this. I went to see my doctor yesterday and I was having a really stressed out day dealing with a family crisis and my bp was 150/100. I left with a prescription, but I received my order of this stuff in the afternoon and I took the recommended two tablets twice a day and woke up this morning with my bp 108/69. This product gets shipped from India and takes approximately two weeks to arrive by registered air mail, but very much worth the wait. I have the link to order it and to read more about the herbal treatment. If you are interested, feel free to e-mail me and I will send it to you. Take care and good luck.

I've been taking Lisinopril for about 2 years with no problems, until I had the prescription refilled at Wal-Mart and the Lisinopril they sell is made in India by Lupin. Within 3 days I got a headache that lasted 24/7, and I felt like my insides were shaking.

Well, I beg to differ with "huh1051" regarding the snake venom. This is straight from "Wikipedia"... History/brand names
Lisinopril was developed by Merck & Co. and is marketed worldwide as Prinivil or Tensopril and by AstraZeneca as Zestril. In India it is marketed by Micro Labs as Hipril. In the United States, a generic version is available. Like other ACE inhibitors, it is derived from the venom of the jararaca, a Brazilian pit viper (Bothrops jararaca). So, "what" do you believe!!!???? This drug breaks the blood brain barrier which is probably why so many people get depression. However, I "think" this drug is causing more than just depression. It's shrinking the brain and affecting memory.

I am 54 male been on 20mg. Lisinopril for a year and a half. I started out have severe nasal drainage that never seem to stop , especially when I awake. I also have severe joint pain in my knees and legs , I believe since I have been on this Med. I use to walk 3 miles a day before I started this med. Now I feel like I am 95 years old and can't walk without a lot of pain and knee braces. I came tonight to see if anyone else had the same problem I have now. I am going to get my doctor to take me off this stuff to see if I can reclaim my health back.

I had a cough for awhile but it doesn't happen much now. People my Med used to be made in Israel but now its made in India. Since then my blood pressure has been too low and at times I take a half a pill to level it out.

I really believe this Med. is taking my health away and crippling me !

I was prescribed LEVAQUIN 500mg/day for 30 days. In that duration this is the list of side effects: diarrhea, sleep disorders, insomnia or excessive, and I mean excessive fatique, washing the dishes made me want to nap. heart racing, trouble breathing, tingling sensation either on my left or right side of my body, headaches. I actually finished the script, and now I have a yet undiagnosed skin condition which looks similar to MRSA, but the culture came back negative. The skin sores are very painful, so my doctor put me on DOXYCYCLINE 400mg/day for 2 mos, it didnt help the skin condition and only worsened the effects of LEVAQUIN, now my doctor has me on BACTRIM, because he is convinced it is MRSA. I am also suffering from severe depression, i never contemplate suicide, yet i would drift in and out of daydreams of wanting to quit, dizziness, when I was on LEVAQUIN my equilibrium was completely off. This skin condition is very painful, and I am on my 3rd antibiotic since June. I think I need help too!

This is my second bout with what my doctor thinks is erlickiosis. The first time I was at the point where I could only move like an old man doing "the nursing home shuffle". Everything was swollen. Feet, hands, knees even my jaw was hurting. I couldn't stand on my own even though two weeks prior I was walking 3-5 miles per day on some good size hills. I was hospitalized and given steroid injections. Within 12 hours I was standing on my own. I was given Perdnisone 30 mg X 3 days 20 mg X 3 days 10 mg X 3 days 5 mg X 4 days. Except for some insomnia and peeing 5 times a night there were no other effects. Within 2 days I was crippled again. Now my GP was in Africa and my Internist was leaving for vacation in India. Internist would not put me back on Prednisone because he wanted me to see a Rhumatologist. I made an appointment but it was SIX WEEKS OFF. Two days later i was admitted to a different hospital. This one was where my Rhumatologist had access. Long story short Prednisone 80 mg 7 days 60 mg 7 days 40,20,10mg 7 days each. Had to start taking insulin again. Glucose never went over 200. Avg glucose last 5 weeks is 120. Gained 5 pounds because I work out every day with free weights and lots of cardio. Hopefully, I won't have to many side effects when weaning is accomplished.

I am a 47year old male.I,ve been on simvastatin for about 10 weeks now and have been experiencing mild short term memory loss for a few weeks. I put this down to the onset of old age?. I,ve also been getting spurious pains to elbow and finger joints? could these problems be associated with the medication?.

In my previous message I was wondering why the same medication has to have so many different names.

I haven“t had a reply to that, but I found some information on Wikipedia that migth be helpful when looking for more information.

Zocor (=Simvastatin) can have many different names as you can see below.

"Brand names: Zocor, Zocor Heart Pro, marketed by the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co. and Denan (Germany), Liponorm, Sinvacor, Sivastin (Italy), Lipovas (Japan), Lodales (France), Zocord (Austria and Sweden), Zimstat, Simvahexal (Australia), Lipex (Australia and New Zealand), Simvastatin-Teva, Simvacor, Simvaxon, Simovil (Israel), Simvotin (India) and other."

I am a hill walker. My name is Steve and I am 58 years old. I have been recently diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes. Fair enough. I have been given dispersible aspirin, metformin to lower blood sugars, ramipril to reduce blood pressure and SIMVASTATIN to reduce cholesterol. This drug (Simvastatin) made me so Ill that I couldn't walk up my drive without feeling as if I was going to pass out. I also suffered tummy pains, felt very sick and my heart was thumping and banging like a base drum. Every joint in my body ached so badly that I thought my walking days were over for good. I stopped taking it four days ago and already feel better. My doctor has given me a replacement medicine called PRAVASTATIN but I am frightened to take it, fearing that it may create the same or similar problems. Has anyone got any comments or experienced problems with Pravastatin? I would appreciate any feedback that you might be able to give, positive or negative.
Regards,
Steve.

I have been on seroquel since july 2006.I take 200 to sleep at night, although in times of stress I add 25mgs pills as needed, and I also take effexor xr 37.5 and 75.First, the good effects- the combo got rid of the crazy highs and deep dark despairs of the lows.It got rid of the compulsions, the anxiety, social phobias lessened, unbidden harming thoughts, and the ocd rituals, and delusions...So it has been a real lifesaver for me.Now, on to the side effects.
I have gone from size 12 to size 16. thats a lot! I know its the seroquel, cause and effect. I got a foot infection from trying on shoes at the outlet mall-(never again) although I have never ever had one before, and i am 55.Guess what- I am still getting flareups of infection 2 1/2 years later! And isnt that a diabetes sign? The rest of the side effects are somewhat helped by drinking water. The side pains, occasional digestive issues, dry mouth, snoring, nonexistant sex life, confusion, memory issues, and the need to consume, and consume, food, are all there.Ive been existing on samples of these meds, but samples are no longer available, and the cheapest price for my meds as above is just over $800 per month.I cant possibly pay for thisI would be happy to take something else that didnt have side effects, and cost less, but what?

I am a 50 year old female and started taking 10 mg of Lisinopril about 2 months ago for HBP. I also take Lovastatin with no problems for about 2 years. Within a few weeks, I starting having the dry, hacking cough along with the tickle in the throat. I also starting itching over various parts of my body. I starting urinating a lot especially at night. Between the coughing and going to the bathroom, I was not getting much sleep. I was tired all the time and was not able to concentrate very well. A few weeks ago, I noticed my skin was getting little red spots. It finally dawned on me that all these symptoms occurred after I started taking the Lisinopril! I went online and found this site. I can't believe they would put a drug like this on the market! I quit taking the medicine about 4 days ago and my cough is starting to decrease, my itching is almost gone and I am not urinating as much. I have an appointment with my doctor in a few days and will tell him that I will NOT be taking this medicine anymore. I will find another way to decrease my blood pressure without medicine. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS DRUG!!!!!

After taking Doxy for only four days I woke up in the middle of the night with major heartburn (something I'd only heard about before!). I stopped it the next day and now two days later still dealing with the same symptom!! I guess I'll try a lower dose later on. Just be warned it's true about eating a LOT with doxy....if you don't you pay the price. Just hope I tolerate this medication next time round as it is currently the only treatment for tropical sprue, a result of a wonderful trip around INDIA!!!
Ahhh the joys of travelling in Asia ! ! ! !
