Intrest symptoms and conditions

i have been suffering from nightmares, irritability, moodiness, anger, hopelessness, agitation, hallucinations, fatigue, behavioral problems, withdrawal from my spouse, loss of interest in my everyday life.
i never put anything together about the weight gain until i read some of the responses on the web. I attributed to being 40 , loss of activity etc.

Hello, I had mirena inserted after the birth of my son four years ago. Ever since then i have been very unhappy with my choice. I have more down days than up days, i cry a lot, VERY! moody. My poor husband. He has suffered through this. I feel so bad. After reading all the comments, i feel that the doctors are liars. I bed for three months after insertion. I called the doctor, oh, your body is adjusting. This is normal. I have recently moved to another state and my new doctor seriously believe that the mirena is taking a toll on me. back pain, bleeding for weeks when my periods lasting three days before,breast soreness, headaches, weight gain despite vigourous exercise,depression,lack of interest in sex. (i'm 37). That's enough for me. I am considering having it removed as soon as possible.

Have been on Simvastatin since May 2007. Have experienced debilitating headaches every day for the first three months, neck and shoulder pain, lower back pain, tiredness to the point of having to stop what I am doing and go to bed and am wondering now whether any other female taking Simvastatin has experienced a burning sensation when passing very hot water and extremely uncomfortable and painful sex.

I had Implanon inserted in June 2008, I just had it removed Sept 17 2008. The first side effect was that I gained weight. My appetite increased and I felt like I was constantly hungry. Within the first month I got an Urinary Tract Infection, the infection was so bad that it transferred to my boyfriend through sex.. After a month I started bleeding and it lasted 4 weeks, not spotting just bleeding. I lost my drive for sex, I felt bloated and was too tired ALL THE TIME!!! I was crying over everything, I felt depressed and stressed about everything, my head hurt all the time. My whole body just felt off. I wasn't myself at all. One morning I woke up with a horrible sore throat. I went in for strep test and tested negative. They said it was just a viral infection. A few days after that my muscles started to hurt. My left knee and hip joint began hurting so bad that it was hard to walk and get up out of bed in the morning.(The Implanon was inserted in my LEFT arm). Occasionally I felt tingling in my left arm and fingers. I then notice my left ankle was getting swollen and at that point my whole body felt like it was shutting down.I started to run fevers and thats when I looked up the "possible side effects of Implanon" online. As I read I realized that I had every single side effect even the uncommon more severe ones, but it seemed like my symptoms were multiplied by 100. I called my doctor and she immediately had me come in to have the implanon removed. Today is Sept 22. I have been on bed rest since the implanon was removed. It turns out that my body had rejected the Implanon, treated it like was a foreign object.

~I AM SOOO GLAD I CAME ON THIS SITE! SINCE I HAD MY IUD PUT IN I HAVE BEEN HAVING LEG NECK HEAD AND BACK PAIN...EVEN CHEST PAIN! THE DOCTOR TOLD ME TODAY THAT SHE THINKS I HAVE ANXIETY! AND JUST GAVE ME LEXAPRO! I I HAVE EVEN LOST INTEREST IN SEX THOUGHT IT WAS B/C I JUST HAD MY SECOND CHILD....BUT I AM NOT DEPRESSED OR NE THING! I JUST CATCH ANXIETY ATTACKS! AND NOW I WILL REMOVE IT AND SEE IF I CAN GET BACK TO ME!

First let me say that I am glad that this just isn't in my mind! I thought that I was going crazy!!
My doctor put me on Loestrin 24 at the end of last month after I had a miscarriage. Since I have been on this pill, I have noticed my mood swings and I am more emotional. I noticed the vaginal dryness and my lack of interest in sex. I was on Yasmin for about a year prior to this...missed a few days and got pregnant. But I never experienced any of this side effects before. I don't see my doctor again until May, but I am definitely going to ask about changing my pills. He told me to take this pill two months straight without a break in between. I am now having my period and it is slightly brown. I am afraid of infection or something....this is really starting to freak me out...

I've been on the NuvaRing for over a year now however my sex drive has gone from HOT TO TROT to THE DESERT in that time frame. I've got a boyfriend of 5 years who I believe is my soul mate and we have sex once every other month....I'm only 25!!! It's gotten to the point where last night he actually asked me if there was someone else because I have ZERO interest in being intimate (and my boyfriend is a VERY VERY attractive guy).

Don't get me wrong the NuvaRing has been great for me this past year. I tell everyone it's the "set it and forget it" method. But having no sex drive is killing my relationship and I'm thinking of taking this thing out once and for all and seeing what happens.

I do not want to lose my soul mate because of a stupid birth control. =(

Hi I was just skimming through I had my Mirena put in in Dec 2003, I no lie seemed to be on permanent pms for 6 months, I was moody crabby at times depressed and the non-stop bleeding, I had contacted my doctor at least once a wk and she kept telling me it was normal, after 6 months everything seemed fine, minus no interest in sex what so ever, now I'm preparing to have it removed finally, just after 4 yrs everything seems ok but 90% of the time I cant find my strings if I'm playing with my son or move the wrong way I have severe sharp pains in the right side of my abdomen like something is stabbing me, I'm really scared and concerned that something is seriously wrong now any advice

i had to take Deoxycycline 100mg once a day for a month to treat a skin infection which improved but OMG for the first time in my life I started to feel really WORTHLESS and DEPRESSED I was SAD most of the time and i lost my intrest in the things that i ENJOYED the most , I couldn't concentrate or study and the funny thing is that i did not SUSPECT the medication at all I thouught it was just me you know but when i read what happned to you guys i knew that there must be something because Depression was not listed on Deoxycycline side effects on the FDA site

I am 26 yrs old and I have been on Nuvaring for about 3-3 1/2 years. I thought this was the greatest thing not having to remember the pill and the short light periods. I have always sworn by this BC! I have been having side effects I never thought came from the ring until now. I have read a lot of the side effects others are having and I think my lack of sexual desire for the past 1 1/2 yrs. MAY be due to Nuvaring and not my getting married 2 yrs. ago. (lol) I also have headaches often, not bad ones but enough to carry Tylenol in my purse. And another is dryness before intercourse, that I never had a problem with 2 yrs. ago. I never put two and two together until I racked my brain and wondered why I struggled so badly with my lack of sexual desire. I could care less if I have sex or not! That just wasn't me 2 yrs ago! I just couldn't figure out what had changed, going back on any medicines I had taken the past 2 yrs., the Nuvaring is the only thing that was constant. I have a Dr. Appt today and I am going to discontinue use of the ring and see if the side effects subside like they have for some others. I will post again when I have an update. Please let me know if anyone else is having the side effects more than a year after using the Nuvaring!! Thanks!

I took Yasmin for 17 months. DUring that time I gained 40lbs. and lost total intrest in being intimate with my new husband. It wasn't that I didn't want to be with him, it was that I didn't feel right emotionally. I finished my last round of Yasmin at the end of April. I had a regular cycle in May, June, and July. Now it is October 10 and I haven't had a period since July 17 and test results are still showing me that I am not pregnant as of October 3. Has anyone else experienced amenorreah from discontinued use of Yasmin?

I CAN relate to all these side effects over the years. The days of depression and loss of intrest in life is the scary ones. I am going to try the Thyroid Formula from Enzymatic. I bought it yesterday at our Health food store. The owner has been taking it for 18 months and she is also about my age. Doctors has not helped me with changing doses and putting me on anti dep. meds.
I will report back in about 3 mo.
I wish all of you better lifes than living with these side effects.

I have been on Yasmin for about 2 weeks and I am extremely tired, body aches, stomach pain, moody and loss of intrest in sex. I come home from work and feel like I have been drinking. I wake up in pain, go to sleep in pain. Is this happening to anyone else?

40 mg/day to shrink lymph nodes/sarcoid.
Couldnt take it, I was a nervous wreck, trembling hands, couldnt sleep, major depression, meloncoly(rare for me)
I dropped to 30 mg after 3 days.
noticeably less affects at 30 mg/day.

I have not gained any weight, in fact I have almost no intrest in eating.

I have been taking ovcon 35 for about 5 months. The first 2 months were akward of course cause this is my first time ever being on birth control. Things were uncomfterable. Ive gotten my period on time every month and they are shorter. Only 3-5 days at most. The bleeding has slowed down and so has the cramps. But really the cramps havnt gone away. When im not on your period i get severe abdominal pain and my ovaires are constantly pounding. The first 3 months i still got nausa and discomfort. Now that im on my 5th pack ive noticed ive gained 8 pounds. 8 pounds of fat straight to my butt and boobs. My cup size went from a 32 B to a 34 C and my pant size changed from a 1-2 to a 3-4. I dont know if this is suposed to be the symptoms of this pill but i am sure within the next month or so im changing pills. It has made me change eating habbits and my body is very weak. I used to be toned and in shape and now i have lost intrest in everything. I am finding my self to be lazy and basicly a couch potato. I read that the other women have experienced wonderful results. I hope my personal experience hasnt brought any negitive thoughts about getting on the pill. It is great for someone who needs pregnancy protection and regularity of there menstrual cycle besides that i wouldnt reccommend this to anyone.
