i think it is time for a public awareness effort about this drug. if you agree, please send your name, address and a summary of your experience to my email. i will organize a joint petition and send it to merck and the fda. many children are being harmed by this drug and parents are not aware.
if we can get an organized effort together, perhaps we can at least get the fda to begin an investigati

I have been taking advair for over a year now. I would have not minded a bit the hoarseness, but the trembling, constant irratation, the worsening of my asthma ( yes, due to Advair), the weird palpitations, etc, are not what I expected from Advair. I am not surprised now when I just read it is a product of GlaxoSmithKline, famous for its disastrous Paxil and its subsequent scandals.
Fight GlaxoSmithKline.... The Secrets of Seroxat, BBC Panorama investigation, including....ADVAIR!!

I just wanted to let people know that I was taking Yasmin for nearly 4 years with serious side effects; anxiety, sever behavior changes, dry skin, sinus infections, IBS. I have switched from Yasmin to Ortho-Tri Low two weeks ago with nothing but positive changes happening. I have ENERGY and the daily panic, anxiety attacks and horrible thoughts have disappeared and no more bouts of IBS. I truly believe Yasmin was the cause of these severe side effects I had been experiencing the last 4 years. I think I can actually stop seeing my therapist for the anxiety now - I feel like myself again. Yasmin is the worst drug I have ever taken. I have started an investigation for a class action lawsuit.

I was put on SULFAMETH/TRIMETHOPRIM 800/160 TABS for a sinus infection about two weeks ago. I was almost done taking all the pills when I took two Midol (the ladies know why). within an hour, I broke out into hives! At the time, I just assumed it was the midol only; I investigated and it appeared that the diurectic in the Midol caused it. Then I continued my Sulfameth that night and I woke up with worse hives. I called the doctor becuase OTC Benydryl didn't help. She suspected the Sulfameth versus the Midol. Upon my own investigation, I found on MedlinePlus.com that you are supposed to tell your Doctor if you are taking a diurectic before taking the Sulfameth! I will never mix those two again!

OMG--Thanks to all who have written. I have been on Yasmin for about a year after my gyno suggested switching from ortho. I have been slowly noticing increased problems--my first bv infection, leg cramping, acne on my lower chin, increased appetite, but recently I began having brown discharge (something that totally freaked me out), which started my online investigation. After reading this website and also the initial press release regarding yasmin (which was only tested on 2600 women) I immediately stopped taking it and will be contracting my gyno ASAP.
Hopefully my problems will be solved when I get this stuff out of my system. Thanks to everyone who wrote and good luck to all those unfortunate ladies who were convinced to take this wretched pill!

Out of all birth control's this has to be the worst i have tried (apart from regular Coil), since having it fitted on 23/08/06 i have gained many many pounds and after eating i bloat to the extent that i look 8-9 months pregnant, have constant hot flushes, tired to the point were i have to drag myself out of bed, mood swings and loss of libido. After it was inserted i had a light brownish/reddish discharge for 2/3 months, which left in the only way to describe it, a bleach stain on my underwear (has anyone else had this? Sorry for being so graphic!), i am constantly buying new underwear, not that i mind that too much!! My G.P. told me yesterday that he thinks it has nothing to do with the Mirena (i suffer from IBS), he changed my medication and advised that if i felt it necessary to come back for blood tests. My birth control before was Yasmin, i changed this as i gained weight, bloated, had constant mood swings and loss of libido........Why??? I have now come to the conclusion that i have made my contribution to Mankind and maybe it is time for sterilisation!!!
