I took myself off Advair over a month ago and am still having side effects. Some of them have improved but not all.

Itchy ears- still there
Migraines- still there
Edema- still there
Lethargy-still there
Fatigue-still going
Vision Changes- those stopped when i went down to one dose a day
Frequent urination-oh yeah
I've also had a number of uti since going on advair with no other reason
canker sores- still going
weight gain-same
heartburn-i have acid reflux now which i didn't have b4 advair
heart palpations-a little better
tremors-those stopped when i went down to one dose a day
restlessness & nervousness- a lil better
memory problems-same
scratchy irritated throat- same
thrush- had about 4 times in the last year, currently last wk and i've been off advair for a month...
burning pain in stomach- went away when i went down to one dose a day.. my doc said i probably got an ulcer.
I'm 29 and I feel like I'm 40. I'm exhausted. If this doesn't go away I guess it might be something else but I think maybe my side effects are still lingering.
i know someone says it gets out of your system shortly but it sure doesn't feel that way for me. but then again i've been on it continuously for almost 3 years.

I have taken Avelox, Cipro and Levaquin within the past two years - all with side effects:
CIPRO: (Rx for diverticulitis) Dry raspy cough, irritated throat, sneezing - all started shortly after each daily dose and eased off until next dose. Poor sleep, wakeful and unable to go to sleep. I did not continue the medication as prescribed and the symptoms were gone within 24 hours.
AVELOX: Dementia - something like Alzheimers - I could not do a simple crossword puzzle, knowing that I knew the answers at one time. I could not think or function and, again, stopped the medication early. Symptoms went away.
LEVAQUIN: Confusion, sleeplessness, anxiety, frequest urination.
My husband is currently taking Avelox and is having some strange symptoms: Hallucinations, strange dreams, confusion, raspy cough and laryngitis. He was put on Avelox two days before he came down with Influenza and the cough and laryngitis may be a result of the flu - but I am recovering from the flu and he is not, and should be.
I will no longer take any quinolone and may need to change doctors if he insists prescribing them. He wants my husband to continue taking his last two doses of Avelox. I just hope he survives this!

After reading this accumulated several years of reporting below:
Yes to higher heart rate and BP for sure - after several days using albuterol in the home nebulizer I have had - it is for emergencies and every severe asthma attack but one (Oct 06) it kept me out of the hospital. I also tho have a GERD ulcer in my throat that causes caughing - Nexxium is THE ONLY med proven to heal those btw - and they do still come back! But anyways, this latest irritated throat followed by uncoltrollable coughinghas been on the "other" side of my throat for 6 days -
(this is all separate from my bronchial and lung coughing from asthma and the lung infections that come with it).
So anyways - ta daa - I came here suspecting the new spot in my throat that is super-sensitive is due to the nebulizer and after reading the other comments- maybe this really is it! The forced air in particular - because I just don't get coughs like this when I stick to my little purse canister.
