I have been taking FEMCON for 8 months now...and for some reason I never put my weight gain of 8 pounds and the pill together. I noticed the gain after 3-4 month's and could do NOTHING to get it off. Its been to the point where I joined Jenny craig which works for everyone and work out, tried low carb......everything and never ever did a pound come off. I don't know what else to attribute it to . I had a blood test and it was normal......so no endocrine problems as a cause.
Anyway-- if anyone had this side effect as well, how long did it take when you go off of it to start losing some of the weight? I am at the end of my rope here with trying to even drop a single pound. It's impossible! I just stopped taking the pill 2 days ago, I am hoping I see some results!

Since being on Lexapro, I have no feelings of anxiety. In fact, I have no feelings at all. I am numb to everything it seems and I have little to no emotion - ever. In addition to being a zombie, I am hungry all of the time and I have no energy to do anything, but rest on the couch. I have been taking Lexapro for about 3-4 years and have gained about 30 pounds. Now that is depressing. I am slowly weaning myself off the drug now. I took 1 pill every other day for a month and now I am taking 1/2 every other day until my prescription is gone. I'm experiencing some additional side effects now. I am having mini panic attacks where my heart will race for about 5-10 minutes, restless legs where I need to keep moving them when I am trying to rest, hot flashes where I will sweat profusely, I'm very irritated at the smallest of occurrences and the most strange side effect that I have not heard of previously is breast soreness - very painful. If anyone else is experiencing the same, please write about it, I would really like to know if this is common, how long it will last and if there is something else (natural) that I can take to help with weaning off Lexapro. Please help!!

I am now 5 months off yasman and doing Jenny Craig to loose the weight gained while on Yasmin. I wanted to tell everyone that I found this new supplement that might help a lot of you - instead of depression and anxiety meds. Check out 5-HTP. It helps you to sleep, calms you down, and takes away your carb craving so you can loose weight.
Thank God for this websight! It has turned my life around.

I am 57 years old and have been on synthroid for about 3 1/2 years. I had a nodule on my right side that was removed.I felt great but was told to see the endocrinologist. I felt better for quite a while but NOW I have gained over 25 pounds, out of breathe just going up stairs and feel like I always have a lump in my throat. The weight gain has made my feet, back and knees hurt. I have been exercising and even did Jenny Craig and only lost 10 pounds just to put it back on. I retain fluid in my hands and legs. Sometimes my legs feel like they are going to burst. I am seeing many of the same complaints on this site about synthroid. What is this Armour people are talking about?
