I recieved this shot on July 2, 2007 for a frozen right shoulder and on July 9th a period began that lasted a total of 4 weeks, if was the most unusual period I have ever experienced. It would be heavy for 4 days taper off and then begin heavy again, it was like I was having several periods within a 4 week period. I ended up in the Dr's office because it was such a scary experience, I have never had a period for more than 5 days. I had several tests and ended up in the emergency room 2 days before the period ended because I was passing huge clots. I now have to make a decision on whether to have a D&C. I worry each day that I will begin bleeding again and not stop. I also experienced an extreme depressed feeling the next day after the shot and was unable to sleep soundly for about 2 weeks, I have also had headaches charley horse pains in my right calf, and pain in my left jaw. I am also having at least two to three heart palpitations each day. Of course today I cannot prove that the shot has caused all of these symptome and my OBGYN seems to know nothing about the effects of steroid shots, I have not spoken to my ortho dr. about this but they never mentioned any side effects with this drug, I was only asked whether I had diabetes or not before the shot was given. I would strongly recommend that if anyone is contemplating on having this shot to please do your research. After reading all of the comments here and hearing that alot of the symptoms that everyone has had mimic mine, I am convinced that the shot has probably created these adverse efffects which has lead to alot of worry and expensive tests to rule out cancer and other diseases that could have been prevented had I not taken this drug. Whether or not this drug created these effects will lead me without hesitation to never take this drug again and pray that the side effects that I am having are only temporary.

After taking Lipitor for two years. I developed so much pain, swelling and degeneration of the knee area, I thought I was developing something like M.S. My doctor agreed with me that I should stop taking Lipitor. The swelling has gone down and I can bend my legs again, but I still have a lot of pain due to this drug. I just hope the pain goes away. In reference to #14133 I want to add more symptoms that I have experienced. On my right hip area where the injection was given turned purple with a noticable indention then it turned white. I have also experienced pain in my joints mainly in my hip and knee area. I have had other symptoms like hair loss & irregular periods. I was not told of any symptoms when the injection was given. When I went back to the facility that gave me the injection they said nothing could be done about the indention. I feel that something should be done about this. I am telling my freinds, family, co-workers what Kenalog can do to you. THANKS FOR THIS SITE.

I've been on Prednisone for 2 mos. Started at 30/day for 1 month upped to 50 mg/day for 3 weeks now back to 30 mg/day prematurely. My Ige doubled in the first month so hence the increase, dr lowered pred to 30 w/out checking Ige ad now I'm experiencing some ultra yucky side effects but, not sure if its the prednisone or the itraconazole I'm on. My legs ache, and are swollen in the knee area and thigh. My face is getting cushinoid and I feel like my trach is squeezing or swelling. I've been bruising on my arms, legs, hands, heart racing, waking up at 1 am till 3 am wide awake. Having tremors/shaking hands. I have Allergic Bronchial Pulmonary Aspergillosis

HAVE USED IV 1GM FOR THREE DAY FOR MIGRAINE.FOR TWO WEEKS AFTER I HAVE EXTREME FATIGUE,CAN HARDLY MOVE,MOOD SWINGS, SWELLING ANKLES,LEGS,NECK AND A LOT OF WEIGHT GAIN. I CAN NEVER GET A CLEAR ANSWER ON HOW LOG MED STAYS IN YOUR SYSTEM. I THINK STAYING IN BED WITH A MIGRAINE WOULD BE EASIER THAN DEALING WITH THE SIDE EFFECTS.

Took one 500mg levaquin last night for sinus infection, sore throat, cough. Awoke several times during the night because my eyes were tearing, and felt "sticky", but did not get out of bed because I was too tired. At 5 a.m. I finally went to look in mirror, and my eyes were red and puffy, & my face was swollen. I felt dizzy and almost fainted. My legs also ached badly around the thigh/knee area, and it was painful to walk the stairs. I had some chest pains on and off during the day, and my rt. eye is still hurting. I am now on benadryl. My doctor wants me to take prednisone, a steroid, but at this point I am afraid to take any more prescriptions. The only reason I agreed to the levaquin is because I had taken it once in the past. 1999 according to my dr. He said he has noticed cases of patients who have a reaction to it the second time around. I am through with antibiotics. These side effects are too scary. I would rather have the sinus infections.

Kenalog injections for my Poly (Many) Arteritis (Arteries) Nodosa (Inflamed). I had a growing skin lession on leg (approx.) six inches below
-- By someguy08 | Reply | Private Message mebend of knee. I have received Kenalog injections in legs (below knee area) for over ten years and this latest was given by a resident who needed me to walk him through it. I guess the amount given was too much cause my lower leg feels noticeably weaker now and gets fatigued easily especially when driving. I already have weak legs from myropathy and this has made my right leg even weaker. My hope is that this might forwarn someone whose going to get a Kenalog injection. I want to add that I see my problem from Kenalog as minor compared to what Ive been reading other people are going through and Im sorry for those people. We get ill and just hope the treatment wont cause even more and worse problems.
