I'm 51 and in good shape. I ran 60+ miles in Dec, a PR 5K and then started Lisinopril in late January. Since then I have been fatigued and wiped out after running - no longer get the runner's high at all. Two weeks ago I ran 6 miles and couldn't get out of bed for two days. Family doc said quit the stuff. That was 6 days ago - ran 3 today and was pretty wiped - also seen a pick up in anxiety. Any advice? How long does this stuff take to clear your system? When can expect my stamina to return? Thanks.

This is amazing to me to hear all of these side effects from the yaz. I have been experiences all of them but really didn't make the connection. I have been experiencing knee joint pain since I have been on these pills but really didn't make the connection. I only started researching this since I received an email from someone about yaz and the warnings about it. This message went into my spam out of the blue, and I opened it to read it. That was about a month or so ago, and I am scheduled to see my doctor in a month or so and I don't want to abruptly discontinue without having a plan. I am 46 years old and was an anemic due to heavy periods, so this was the solution to get my blood count up to what it should be. This was a real issue because I had to have emergency surgery but had to have 2 units of blood before the surgery. So after that, it was suggested that I take bc to control my periods. I really didn't want to do this but I had to for the mean time and I have been on them for about 8 months. My blood count is back to normal now but I have to figure out what else I am going to do because I cannot continue on these pills now that I see what it is doing. I will be going into menopause soon also, but that's probably not until 5 more years and I am not going to take these all that time. I have some decisions to make.

After experiencing insomnia, excessive sweating followed by chills, anxiety, thirst, frequent urination, nausea, and depression, I thought I would see what the published side effects of kenalog are. I was given an injection in the doctor's office a week ago for knee joint pain and was told that this medication was superior to other cortisone's since it does not filter through the pituitary or adrenal glands. The knee is great. I even feel more comfort in my arthritic fingers but the other side effects are very unpleasant. Probably will suffer with the pain rather than the fatigue and grossness I'm feeling now.

I began having right hip pain a month after the mirena was inserted. I assumed it was from running. All the doctors I have seen for the past year stated I strained a muscle. They ordered MRI's and physical therapy. I have completed all, but still have the same hip pain-over a year now. Has anyone had hip pain due to the mirena? And did your hip pain stop completely after your mirena was removed? I am considering getting it removed. Although the doctors tell me they are not connected, I can't help but think there is a coincidence.

I have been taking Lipitor for several years now, 40 mil. About a month ago I started having terrible shooting pains in my left hip. Within a day or so the pain had also started in the calf of my leg, like a cramp that wouldn't go away. My left calf all the way to the tip of my toes felt numb and tingly like it was asleep and it feels as though I don't have control of my leg or foot. The pain got so bad I couldn't walk. It would get better for a day or so and then come back again. It got so bad I couldn't walk, stand or sit. The only way I could get any relief was to stay in bed in one certain position. I stopped taking Lipitor on my own. It has been over a month now and I still have pain but isn't as bad most of the time. This pain is so terrible I hope writing this note will help others. I'm wondering if I will ever be normal again. I was a very active 58 year old but now I feel like a crippled 100 year old. They should take this drug off the market or at least warn people of what it will do to them.

I have been on Lisinopril starting at 5 mg and increased to 10mg about 1 month ago with increasing side effects. I have had the dry hacking night time cough since I started on the medication which I could deal with. I started to notice knee joint pain recently which I never had before. I also have loss of taste and food does not seem appealing like it used to be. The most disturbing of the symptoms though started several weeks ago and I have been getting this quick shooting pain in my throat/neck area. I recently had an echocardiogram and saw my cardiologist and everything is the same and stable so I don't think it is anything cardiac. I feel in my gut it is probably due to this medication. Anyone else have fleeting throat/neck pain while on this medication??

I have been on Wellbutrin for two weeks. About four days ago I began having joint pain and swelling in just my left hand, middle and ring finger knuckles. It is swollen and getting worse, not better. Has anyone experienced joint pain in just a specific area and not all over with Wellbutrin?

I was prescribed levaquin 500mg for 7 days for sinus infection.
On day 3, I was very dizzy for few minutes where I thought I'd pass out. Next day, I cut down to 250mg but was still getting dizzy to a lesser extent.
Day 6, I didn't take it but started getting lower abdominal and lower back pain. So I'll be going to see my doc to see what is going on. Also, knee joint pain.
This medication is too difficult to take. I personally think the side effects are greater than the benefits.

I was taking Lisinopril for about 4 months and developed a cough that just got progressively worse and at the same time, I had knee joint pain really bad. After stopping this drug and being switched to something different, the cough went away along with the joint pain that was so bad, i was taking pills for that thinking it was just me getting old. Has anyone else had problems with joint pain?

I have been on Lipitor for almost two years, started having knee joint pain, was pooped all the time but added that up to my being 53 years old with a bad back. Then I got a very pronouned erratic tinnitus in my right ear, but the doctors could find no reason for it. Live with it they said, it is age. Ok. But now everytime I try to add a new pill into my body, the Lipitor fights it. I get a terrible burning in my chest, that works down into my both arms but it is not my heart. I get sick to my tummy and just feel terrible. It happens with any or all pills I try to take. So now off the Lipitor for 6 weeks while my doctor checks things out. But you know my knee is better, I can take pills again and my anxiety is better. I am not going to take Lipitor again. I knew there was something wrong, why won't doctors listen. Who knows our own bodies better. Thank you for this site, it has showed me so much.

Delayed reaction to CIPRO
6 weeks after a 12 day course 2 x500 mg ciprofloxacin
I developed serious knee joint pain, which caused me (22, M)to seek medical help at the ED.
CONCLUSION by M.D: A link between the drug and the joint
pain cannot be excluded.
CONCLUSION by me: The use of these drugs will cause
arthrosis deformans in a great proportion of patients (in 10 to 30 years).
CIPRO appears to be "safest" of the quinolones, as confirmed by animal testing.
However, other potent antibiotics such as Metronadizole are
not much better in terms of ADVR.

Been on Lescol for 3 years, under constant monitoring. Suddenly knee joint pain. After a break and physio, my knee was much better. Then suddenly, very severe muscle pain from buttocks right down to calves. MD stopped Lescol. Awaiting LFT and other tests. What's happening?

I'm 54, started taking lisinopril in jan 09. I took for about 3 months and noticed a decrease in libido. My pressure was pretty much in control, so I stopped taking it. I started again around 1st of Aug 09. Approx 3-4 weeks later, I began to experience severe pain in my left shoulder and arm. It began to move into my neck and back. I went in for an EKG to ensure I wasn't having a stroke. It was normal. I experience dizziness and headaches. I wake in the night and my 2 left fingers on the left hand are completely numb. The pain in my neck is now moving to the right side and some shoulder pain seems to be apparent. I noticed pain in other joints as well. I'm unable to work out at the gym as I usually do due to the pain my my left arm. I highly suspect these symptoms to be caused by lisinopril. I've been taking 20mg and was just switched to 20 mgm Hct. a week ago. X-Rays were taken of my neck and shoulder last week. Haven't' heard from the doctor as of yet. I was on Diovan before I lost my job and health benefits. As a vet, the VA put me on the Lisinopril. The Diovan worked fine for me, too expensive for us vets I guess. I am discontinuing the Lisinopril as of today 10/24/09. I feel like I imagine a ninety year old would feel with these aches and all. I havent' admitted it, but I believe I'm feeling mildly depressed as well. Let's see what a week of purging this from my system does. f. D.
