I currently have Mirena in and have for about 7 months now. I have severe cramping, lack of memory no sex drive whatsoever, depression, i look like im prego again and i get really really bad anger moods. could this be all Mirena? or just after effects of being a mother? I had my first in the beginning of 2008, she is now 15 months old. I don't know what else i could use for a birth control. i am very forgetful and i don't think i could remember a pill everyday. im debating whether or not to take it out. i just want to feel like myself again. it would be nice!

This is truly amazing-reading a lot of these posts feels like I should have researched this BC months before. I too have experienced the night sweats, the lack of memory, the weird attitude changes, the lack of concern for life and the constant state of fatigue. I started researching this drug yesterday after my last rashy episode (it feels like I'm itching underneath my skin). I'd never had joint pain before but now it's over the top. I'm creaking and cracking like crazy and here I thought all of these symptoms where characteristic of aging..but hold up! I'm only 34! So it is with my chagrin that I took my last YAZ pill ever!
I initially took it to help ease my breakouts which it initially did-but now I'm breaking out again all over my face and chest area--and I'm experiencing 3weeks worth of menstruation. I have been on this pill for over a year and a half and really when I sat down and analyzed a lot of what was posted here and in other sites, I could only point my symptoms back to one common denominator. I even started on Nexium for heartbearn and indigestion and constant stomach irregularity..and now that I think about it--it all started after Yaz. Wow-who knew so much could happen from one little pill. Women beware...I can only share what I've experienced. Hope it helps someone else.

I'm a 26 year old female and I've been on Topamax since March 2007. It has completely gotten rid of the debilitating headaches I experienced 3-6 times a week. It also got rid of my anxiety. I got my life back, my antidepressant kicked in at the same time. I experienced all the usual side-effects, tingling hands and feet, forgetting words, memory problems, loss of appetite, but was COMPLETELY pain-free. I still am. However, I never remember anything now, forget whether or not I did something, paid my bills, etc, lose things constantly, and I have lost about 20 lbs. Not good. I look anorexic. I have bones sticking out. Eating is hard. I forget to eat and drink all day and food is just unappealing. I feel fuzzy and stupid and slow. Not sharp like I used to be. It has killed my confidence and self-esteem. But I was wondering if any women out there got yeast infections while they were on Topamax. I've had one monthly since I started it, and my doc said it's a rare side effect. Oh yeah, I've had mild hair loss and mild to moderate acne now. This drug, it is such a 50-50. Living with chronic pain, those headaches were awful. But doubting yourself is awful too. Anyone have similar experiences?

I'm 13 years old, and I've been taking Singulair for about three weeks now. I've been having a very unpleasant taste, very bad headaches, lack of memory, and slight twitching sense I've started Singulair. I don't know if i should continue to take Singulair.

My doctor presribed Singulair for me because of seasonal allergies. I'm 13 yrs old, and I've been on Singulair for about two weeks. After about a week of taking Singulair, I started noticing a few minor side effects. However, they've been continuing to get worse every day I take this drug! Some of the things I've been experiencing on Singulair include fatigue, twitching, stuttering, and lack of memory. Anyone else?

In January I was diagnosed with polymyalgia rheumatica and temporal arteritis (giant cell arteritis). I was put on 60 mg prednisone and an array of other meds to help with pain, inflammation, water retention, and stomach problems from everything. I've lost some vision from the TA. I've experienced the weight gain, the moon face, stomach problems, depression, fatigue, muscle weakness, lack of memory and concentration, and generally feel miserable. The brain fog is awful! I don't trust myself doing much of anything these days!

When I was first put on the prednisone it completely took away all my TA and PMR symptoms. I could walk and get up and down again, didn't have the headaches, and didn't hurt all over.
My doctor tried to taper my dosage about 6 weeks ago and all my symptoms returned and increased as I went down on the prednisone. He upped me back to 60. That time the symptoms didn't go away. They lessened but were still there.

He's trying to taper again, and I'm down to 30 mg now and feel worse and worse. My sed rate has been normal, so the doctor thinks it's from the prednisone. Does it mimic all the TA and PMR symptoms? I also am having a lot of hand and feet cramping.

Does anyone else have these two illnesses? I would be interested in your experience. I want off these meds! Anyone found an alternative approach that's helped?

God bless!
