I have been on Levoxyl for about 2 1/2 years. Before I was on levothyroxine, but my new endo said the generics don't work, so he insists on the name brand. I've been taking it in the morning on an empty stomach, and have been battling extreme daytime fatigue ever since. At first I thought it was because I was unhealthy. I had LAP-band surgery, and I use a CPAP machine for my sleep apnea, and I lost 50 lbs, but I've hit a plateau that can't be explained by my food intake, and the fatigue is so debilitating. My GP is adjusting my anti-depressant to see if that makes a difference, but so far no. On my own I decided to start taking the Levoxyl at night before I go to bed. It's only been a couple of days, but I have noticed a marked improvement. I'll talk to my endo about it, and hopefully he'll be at least willing to consider the change.
On a side note, anti-depressants are the best medicine ever discovered. If you are feeling at all depressed, talk to your doctor. Whether the Levoxyl contributes to it or not, the anti-depressants help. I never want to go back in that black hole again.

I am a 21 year old female. I have been on 25mg Toprol (twice a day) for over a year now. I was having intense heart palpitations from scary panic attacks... this drug basically cured my heart irregularity. When I first started taking Toprol I experienced some muscle cramps but that lasted less than a week. Overall I have NOT experienced ANY negative side effects from this drug. It is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I was so scared before due to having at least 5 ‘episodes’ a day with my heart… now I may only have 2 – 3 per week. Such a wonderful improvement! It has really changed my life for the better.

Has anyone experienced excessive weight gain using Januvia? About 13 months ago I started taking J. and I've not lost any weight since that time. I had Lap-band surgery 19 months ago lost 58 lbs the first 7 months, started the Januvia, had what I thought was Lap-band problems, gained a few pounds and the few pounds are now a plus 40. I've spoken to a pharmacist and he says there cannot be any connection to Januvia, however I've begun to question Januvia as the advertisements on TV state that Januvia has not been tested with insulin and I'm taking Lantus at night and Januvia in AM. Januvia can be used with insulin at the description of the Doctor???? I'm very concerned about myself and Januvia. Any comments 2bears

I have been on Toprol 50mg for a few years and thought I had no problems. However 2 years ago I had the lap band surgery and one year later had it removed...I LOST NOTHING. After Dr.s telling me I was cheating and that was the reason, I see all these posting. Further, the medication was just uped to 100mg and ever since I have been itching like you would not believe. The Dr wants me to go to an allergist as he sees no reason for the itching. I now see it to be a rare side affect. I scratch so much I bring up blood! I think I need to have another discussion with my Dr.

I've had a fever come and go for over 6 months. I was trying to find out why, and then I came across this weight gain which was by chance. I was put on synthroid in 2004 because of unexplained weight gain they found I had this thyroid problem. Since then, I have gained 60 lbs, even through battling renal cell carcinoma (Kidney Cancer) , and lap band surgery. I can't believe all my complaining, and not one doctor told me this pill causes weight gain. This makes me quite angry. D.
