Left-sided chest pain from about one week onwards of taking 20mg of this drug; been on it for less than a month. Had lots of heart and lung tests in A & E to no affect, ie, they cannot find anything. It is intermittent, about 3-4 times daily, from one quick stabbing pain to about 10 mins; it gradually dies down. Taking deep breaths is not advisable due to the pain, but I just take more shallow breaths. These episodes do not bring with them any other side-effects, although of course I usually stop what I am doing. Nothing particular brings them on, I can be just lying in bed with eyes closed and have just woken up. I have been on this drug last year without chest pain. Not taking it for depression; taking it for although health worries, with my left thigh feeling 'strange', therefore, I think I have every muscle wasting disease under the sun. No therapeutic affect as yet. Is the chest pain due to the drug or something else? I could only find chest pain as a side-effect on the *****website; not in the British doctors formulary (BNF) at all. What's going on? I am close to asking to change to Cipralex, similar to Paroxetine.

After about 1/2 hour of using Flonase for the first time, I felt a burning or tearing-type feeling in my left chest more toward the shoulder area. Then after a couple of days use I felt an irritation in the shoulder joint and this subsequently traveled to my rib cage. After about a week's worth of use, I felt a burning-like sensation in a small area on my lateral lower leg. I stopped using the Flonase and after about 4 days, the sensations subsided.

I have had pain in my left chest area that started shortly after I started taking Lipitor. I went to the doctor 2 months after I started taking Lipitor for blood work. While at the doctor I mentioned pain that to me felt muscular. He right away did an EKG that showed I had possible blockage. I then went for a stress test and heart scan. The response I got about the test was that everything was completely normal. The EKG reading was probably just normal for me or due to stress. Anyway now two months later I am reading about the side effects of Lipitor and still have this pain in my left chest area that is sore to the touch now. I am stopping taking this medicine now. My cholesteral was low now anyway. I am angry that my doctor just ingnored the symptoms I was giving him. I will update in a couple of weeks about the pain. I am controlling the cholestral by diet and lots of exercise now anyway.

I began taking Advair 250/50 about two months ago. After one month, I developed thrush on the back roof of my mouth and back of my throat despite gargling with alcohol-based mouthwash and brushing my teeth after taking the Advair. A prescription of Nystatin to swish and spit every eight hours took care of the thrush. I still find myself clearing my throat quite a bit with a feeling of throat congestion and am sometimes hoarse. After 90 days on the 250/50, my breathing tests improved only slightly, so the doc upped me to Advair 500/50. Three days later I experienced discomfort and mild pain in my left chest while competing in a bicycle race which I do regularly. The discomfort increased with increased effort, so to play it safe I dropped out and relaxed. This feeling has continued over the last three days but appears to be lessening. I assumed I had strained an intercostal muscle in my ribs during my breathing tests at the doc's. After reading comments on this site, I'm more concerned about side-effects. I plan to discontinue use of Advair temporarilly to see if it disappears. If it does, I will restart Advair use and see what happens, then post more to this site.

I have a keloid scar on the back of my left chest wall. It is tender and painful to touch and itchat time.
I start receiving kenalog injection in March, April and June 2005. About 2 mins post injection, I began to nauseating with a bitterness feeling at the throat. With my eyes closed, I see blackness with flashes and spots of lights. My whole body was feeling very uneasy, can't differentiate whether am I being suck in or am I being lifted and had the feeling in incontinence. At the initate time, I still feel conscious responding to my friend command, than I guessed I'm might had lapsed into unsconiusness. 5 minutes later I woke up feeling nausea and dizzy. Feeling much better after 10 minutes or resting, I return to work.
Thinking that I might be sensitive to the pain that cause me to faint, I decided to go for the subsequently injection in April and June to desensitise the pain. But it happened again both times after the procedure except that I'm conscious of the surrounding but I keep my eyes closed. But in yesterday episode, I expercience additional side effect after about 30 minutes later such as acute pain at the injection site and surrounding area that almost cause me to faint again and associated with sharp abdominal pain that I need to relief myself. Last night I slept at 7 p.m., this moring I work up with a slight heachace which clear off after a short duration. Now I'm perfectly alright with occasional shooting of sharp pain form the keloid.
The doctor is aware of my fainting spell but still advise me to return for regular injection as the keloid scar is hardening.
I'm wondering should I continue to go for the keloid treatment???? It quite torturing during the syncope attack. Any one care to advise????

I've heard nothing but good things about Yaz. The commercials make it look like a DREAM drug......one I truly needed. I'm 34 and getting married for the second time. My PMDD has become horrible. I started YAZ 7 days ago because I didn't want to be on my period for my honeymoon but mostly because I wanted to be a normal woman. I have 1 good week out of the month. I'm so tired of the mood swings and everything that is associated with PMS/PMDD. Well after day one I was horribly nauseated just like I was when I was pregnant. That has been daily. My stomach felt very"anxious" like I was nervous all the time and that is NOT me at all. It never dawned on me it could be the YAZ I thought it was nerves because of the upcoming wedding. I felt depression that I hadn't felt in a while since getting engaged. And it was almost a "hopelessness". Last night when I was driving home from work, day 6, I started coughing for no reason. I haven't been sick at all. It was like I couldn't quit. My left chest area was on fire and radiated to my back. I finally started thinking what in the world could this be so I got online and researched side effects of Yaz and boy am I glad I did. It blows my mind at the poor women who have either suffered threw a blood clot, or have died from it and ALL the other side effects I see on here that are just like mine. I'm so glad that I found this because today the Yaz went in the garbage. I refuse to take it anymore. I was worried all night I had a blood clot in my lung that I could barely sleep. I don't think anyone is aware of these problems associated with this medication. I hope they recall it soon!
