I am a thirty-two years old female who began taking Topamax for chronic migraine about 8 months ago. Like many, I experienced the tingling in hands and feet initally but after about 6 weeks it was very rare. I also despise the taste of any carbonated beverage now, unfortunate for me cause sometimes I'd just love to have a soda. I became very "loopy", forgetting things, not having to words to say, not finishing tasks. My husband no longer likes me to drive due to my slowed motor skills. Topamax did relieve my migraines tremendously, down from about two a week lasting on average 6-48 hours to an occasional light headache that I can relieve with Epidrin or Naproxen.
I have became seriously depressed in recent weeks and have worked with my neurologist to taper off Topamax. I lost all interest in my family (4 kids and husband) social activities, and myself for that matter. I was taking 75 mg per day and just finished the last week of 25 mg taper. I pray my migraines will not return or that we can find another med without the serious side effects. I also lost weight (about 10 lbs which I needed to lose anyway).

lower back pain, hair loss, joint pain, complicated migraines, vertigo, palpitation, hormonal imbalances (lowered DHEA, increased aldosterone-it affected my adrenal glands and kidneys), epigastric pain, bleeding, extreme fatigue, anxiety, pulmonary failure etc. I had to go through ER, 2 CT scans ( abdominal and brain), 2 MRIs, neurologist, endocrinologist, GI, gyno etc. I threw my Yaz pills in the trash after the first CT scan that revealed multiple tumors in my liver and left adrenal gland ( i took the pills for about 3 and 1/2 years)... the past 6 months have been a hell, but there are no more migraines, anxiety or other neurological symptoms at this point. By the way, one of my best friends who just started on Yaz recently ended up in the ER last week with a blood cloth in her left lung. Please stay away from that drug!

Hello Ladies,

I just had my Mirena inserted on 11/7/2008, and since the insertion I had experienced some side effects as well. For the first time in my life I had experienced the worst anxiety attack ever. It lasted three days... three whole days... The day after insertion my husband took me right to the ER. The er doctor said it was from the anesthesia, gave me Ativan IV and sent me home with a pill in case it didn't get better... After the anxiety attack subsided I was then left with anxiety, light headedness, dizziness, and mild headache and at times nausea. I call my doctor with these symptoms, he decided to keep me home for the rest of the week and said I should rest. However I noticed that I am still anxious, I was having a rapid pulse, I was waking up with light headache and a high blood pressure... My pulse was going up as high as 150 bpm... So far today the rapid heartbeat has calmed down. But I'm still feeling that foggy brain feeling. I feel as though I'm never going to feel normal again.. Not sure if this is all related to the Mirena but folks I haven't felt normal since I had it put in... I want to feel like my old self again... I don't feel right! Any suggestions???

Help has anyone felt better after taking desogen? My daughter is a star athlete and has been taking desegen for minor acne. She is constantly complaining of being dizzy, light headache, having no energy and just simply off.

I am a healthy woman and love doing sports. My allergies started slowly since I moved from my country Chile to U.S.A . At first it was a mild congestion, second year congestion and conjunctivitis, third year the same plus sore throat. This year almost asthma symptoms. It was right after running a 4 mile race through Central Park here in NYC. My coughing started very dry and by the third day I was coughing phlegm and I worried because I thought I was having bronchitis or something along those lines. Besides I have a 4 months old healthy baby girl. So I went to the doctor and she prescribed singulair once a day and asmanex two hours before starting to do exercises.
Immediately after taking singulair my itchy and watery eyes stopped and the first day was great. I am on the third day and I am so tired and achy almost as if I am ready to have flu. My stuffy nose is permanent now and at night I am anyway coughing but a dry cough. Because I take the medicine at night I wake up nauseous and with a light headache and also feels like if I have sinusitis. These may be mild side effects but it was recommended by the doctor to ease all these symptoms and I feel completely opposite...All these side effects are listed on singulair but I wonder if a medicine is listing more side effects than benefits...Why anyway goes to the market? I do not like taking medicine and I did took singulair for my daughter to protect her and our family as prescribed by the doctor. I could notice the negative difference right away since I haven't taken any kind of medicine since I got pregnant and even before. Maybe is too early to tell but I know my body and I can tell this medicine is not right for me. I have decided to follow up the treatment for 10 days to see if I notice some other improvements but so far it seems that I am taking medicine to get sick instead.
