I was diagnosed with PMDD and was prescribed YAZ to help. Immediately after starting the pill, my PMDD symptoms worsened to the point where I was sobbing, angry, withdrawn, confused, up/down and worst of all, suicidal. Never in my worst of moods have I thought about suicide and with this pill, I became completely out of control. I stopped using it and it was like someone switched off a light switch - I didn't feel out of control! I gave it a second try after a full cycle and the same exact things happened again. My husband had to hide the gun and threw the pills in the trash. I've never felt so scared and unstable in my life.....

I also just heard about the Singulair side effects. I am a 58-year-old female with recurrent sinus infection and general allergic reactions. I had testing at my ENT's last spring--I was allergic to nothing specific. It was thought that I am generally sensitive to lots of different things. Well, the ENT put me on Singulair and I never put two and two together until now--- I became extremely anxious and depressed, couldn't sleep, my legs were so restless at night that it was unreal. I also had frequent urination and bladder spasms, low pelvic pain, etc. Over the winter, I stopped taking the Singulair and gradually was able to get off Lunesta and an anti-depressant. These were the worst months of my life---I went through all kinds of urinary and gyne testing to no avail. The urologist couldn't give me any answer---just that he though it might be a neurological issue so I also spent a lot of time and $ getting CT scans and MRI's to no avail. I really thought I was losing my mind---it was half a year during which I was definitely not my usual healthy, upbeat self. I will never touch Singular again!

i have had seizures since 1998 first put on depacot after 3 years of no relief they put me on topamax, which at first felt like someone had climbed inside of my head and turned the light switch on. i couldn't believe how wonderful it was now after 4 years of being on it, i have experienced the same side effects as mentioned above. the one about dry eyes hits home too it has effected my eye sight more and more. i am now for some reason or another thinking about getting off of it however i never did experience any dark or strange dreams though. my depression goes to extreme highs to extreme lows if you know what i mean. all in all i would not want to go back to where i was before taking topamax it was literally like someone had shut the light off of part of my brain. joyce from texas

Hi ladies! I am in complete shock at what I am reading on this site! I thought I was going crazy but now I know I wasn't and I am not alone!!! I was on Yaz for two months and in the first month, I noticed that my libido went from moderate (sex 3-5x a week) to completely non-existent- like a light switch. Then at the end of my second pack, which was this past week, I experienced breast tenderness, non-stop headaches (bordering on migraines) and my abdomen was extremely bloated. Also, throughout this past month, I have noticed my joints have been achy and my muscles have been sore. I have been weak and tired all the time on top of feeling anxious and restless. These premenstrual symtoms are completely uncommon for me to have. This past month in particluar has been oddly confusing and almost like an out of body experience. Now, in retrospect and after reading about others' experiences with Yaz, I am convinced that all those symptoms were/are side effects of Yaz. I hope this posting is helpful to some, in the same sense that other postings were helpful to me. Good Luck!

My son is 8 and for the past 3 years has been on Singular for seasonal allergies. He has since been diagnose with asthma and he takes Singular daily. After being on it for 3 weeks he is now getting into trouble in school. The teachers say it was like a light switch being turned on. Completely out of character behavior. My question is this......has anyone experienced hyperactivity behavior on Singular?
