Lime symptoms and conditions

I had back surgery in July and caught two infections from the hospital, Staph and pseudonymous. I had a picc-line put in and was put on Cipro oraly and Ancef. I got Steven Johnson syndrome from the Cipro and almost died. I looked like a burn victim and swelled from head to toe that was three weeks ago. They pulled me off the Ancef and Cipro. It took a week of me running 103 + temps and the dr. kept telling me its a virous until the rash showed up and my tongue swelled and private parts and throat started to swell shut before they decided to admit me. Then once all that was done and they figured it out they put me on impernem to kill both infections. They pulled my picc-last week and put me on Doxycycline. I have done my research and know that the two are related I asked my dr. what the chances were of a reaction again he told me less then 1%. Ha! I am seeing an infectious disease dr. by the way. Since I started the Doxycycline last Thursday I have developed hives I called the dr. and was told they are not worried about it because I am not running a 101 temp and I am not swelling, plus they don't even know if the Pseudonymous is cured. What do I do? If I go off the antibiotics I will die and if I stay on them I am probably going to die. My joints hurt all the time now and I am only 31. Do I look for a new dr.? Can someone please help me? This is the only website I have found so far where people have had the same reactions as me. These antibiotics are dangerous they need to be taken off the shelf. I had Mirena installed :) in March of 08 and did a lot of research prior. I was very nervous because there was a lot of bad feedback on the internet about it but didn't have any other options for BC because I had high blood pressure and was told that was from the pill. So I survived the unbearable pain of inserting it - FYI you need more than Advil and everything was fine. I noticed for the last year I am constantly moody, depressed and anxious but thought that was the changes in my life that had occurred. It wasn't until 2 weeks ago - I suffered from severe migraines, neck pain, pins and needle numbness and cloudiness in my thoughts that I started to question what was wrong with me. I have also grown 2 pant sizes since the insertion but again didn't put things together until I went to the doctor for my 'headaches' and he passed them off as migraines which I never had before. Oh and my blood pressure is still high - and I take a med for that to lower it. I have been researching and researching what could be wrong- MS, pregnancy, lime and lupus and the only thing that fits like a glove is the Mirena. I just don't get why it took so long to have side effects but think its time to take it out. Any feedback on others side effects is much appreciated because I don't know what to do but can't live like this. And I don't know what other options for BC are out there now...

ALTHOUGH AMBIENT HAS HELPED ME WITH MY SLEEP CYCLE, I HAVE GAINED AN EXCESS AMOUNT OF APPROX. 10 LBS. IN THREE MONTHS, MY DIET AND EXERCISE HABITS HAVEN'T CHANGED AND I WAS WONDERING HOW COULD I HAVE POSSIBLY GAINED SO MUCH WEIGHT IN SUCH LITTLE LIME. MY CONCLUSION.... AMBIENT! I'VE SINCE BEEN OFF AMBIENT BECAUSE IT HAS MIRACULOUSLY RESET MY SLEEP CYCLE, I AM GRATEFUL. VERY DISTURBED BY THE WEIGHT GAIN.

I had the shot in my right glute in April of 2006 and I have a hole the size of a lime in my hip now. For all those that have had this happen how long does it take to stop it from eating tissue away. It is still getting bigger every month and has yet to stop. The doctors say that this is the first time they have seen this and others at the office had the same drug injected and having the same problem but not as severe as mine. I never was told that this could be a side effect and I would never have had this shot given to me. I am a 21 year old and have a huge hole in my hip, not right. Please if anyone has any info, let me know when I could expect it to stop eating my hip away.

I have been taking Lipitor 20mg for six years and Lipitor 40mg for the past year. Within the past eight months I've had problems with leg pains and twitching. For the past four month I've also experienced promlems with my hand and arms. I feel tired and run down all the time. I'm now at the point where I can hardly walk as my knees feel like they will buckle at any time. I've had a number of test that for MS, ALS, HIV, lime, stress you name it and all have shown there was not a problem. "All" six of the doctors who treated me state that Lipitor would not cause this problem. Every time I try going off the Lipitor my cholesterol shoots up over 350. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'll soon be getting a wheelchair.
