I was taking 40mg of geodon twice a day. The doctor is weaning me off.
So, he said to stop taking my evening dose. Well, I did for two nights and couldn't sleep. I was really jumpy, leg spasms, couldn't sleep, hot and cold flashes, trembling, nausea. It was like having the flu really bad. I also had a couple brain zaps. I wish I never would have started geodon. It's awful.

I have been on Celexa for a little over a week for panic attacks/anxiety. The first 2 days I took it I felt like I was in a dream, light headed, tingly, pretty much just intensifying my problems in the first place so I stopped taking Celexa for a few days.. then I spoke with my doctor and she said to try taking it at night instead of the morning. So I began taking Celexa at bedtime. I didn't have much side effects except for a little trouble sleeping, but I actually was starting to feel "better", for about 4 days I was feeling really well and resuming normal activities. Then out of nowhere on that 4th day in the evening I got a really bad panic attack, and for the past 3 days since I've been feeling high anxiety and panic again. I don't understand, because I really felt like I was getting better. I told my doctor what has been happening and all she said was that its normal to have set backs and to continue the Celexa. I'm also taking Ativan to help control the anxiety until the Celexa "kicks in", but in the past few days nothing has been seeming to help. Has anyone experienced this? Is it because I've only been on Celexa for a week? I feel like I am going crazy being back in this lightheaded fog.

Omnicef is actually one antibiotic my 2 year old has little trouble with. The red stools are alarming but at least they are solid. Currently he's on Augmentin which has caused horrible rash and loose stools.
The other nice thing about Omnicef is the dosing schedule.Usually once or twice daily depending on the infection. The 3x daily with Augmentin is way too much stress for me to bear, and for him even more so. Seeing his poor little red butt makes me cry with him. Since the two drugs can be used for the same infections, I will be asking for the Omnicef first from now on. Omnicef seems to clear his infections very quickly. The Docs really should forewarn about the red stools though, they are quite scary, even though they are typically harmless.

ALS, does anyone know if Prednisone can cause ALS, I have been on and off Pred. for years for my asthma and COPD, mostly the asthma attacks. I am on Oxygen 24/7. In the past 3 months I have been in the hosptial twice, for low oxygen levels, and severe asthma attacks, the first 2 night stay they had me on 160 mg every six hours. When I first went to the ER, I was unable to say more them 1 word at a time. That improved, but when I went home, I had slurred speech, it has gotten worse, due to my G.E.RD., I have always had a little trouble swallowing, but now it is much worse. Due to my 2 hospital stays, I was on Prednisone 24 days. Now they say I may have ALS, that is almost a death sentence. I had a MRI, no major strokes just tiny TIA,s

I stopped Advair just over two weeks ago. I skipped a day and had a little trouble breathing - so I took it again. Then I skipped two days and took it again. Then I was able to quit for good. I'm off of it now.
I am using Albuterol just a little bit more than I did while on Advair -- but nothing extreme. I feel better. I've lost 6 pounds without really changing anything (I did quit drinking diet soda also). My ankle swelling has subsided a lot. No more pain.
I hope things get even better with time.

I started this drug 2.5 months ago feeling pretty good have lots of energy, a little trouble sleeping. The hair loss I had is slowing a lot and my hair is growing back and getting longer. I do have a complaint about joint pain especially in my elbow, but it moves around. Im taking vitamins and glucosamine msm. Its helping. Funny how the manufacturer doesnt list joint pain but so many people on this site complain of it.

Hello. this is my first post. I started taking Lupron four days ago. I am preparing for ivf in a few weeks. I ahve read the side effects but doctor told me the most would be a headache. I took tylenol on the first day, and hada slight headache anyways. The second day was betetr, but still had headache, not bad enough to take tylenol. yesterday was my third injection. I started to feel a little lightheaded during the day and sometimes felt I may pass out, but never did. I am also experiencing a little trouble with my eyes, but it could be my contacts needing to be cleaned. I ahve had my forth Lupron injection today and I ahve a slight headache already. I read that someone said the Lupron causes lack of glucose getting to the brain, I know that low blood sugar can cause headache, dizziness and even blackouts. I only take 10 units everyday, and it will be only for 20 days. Has anyone out there used it like I am starting to ? I will not be taking for long periods of time and do not have any medical problems at all. I am taking Lupron so I can carry a child for a friend. Would like to know if anyone is in the same situation as I am.
thanks!

I recently recieved my last Lupron shot - my sixth. Overall, my experience with side effects has been mild. I have not had any hot flashes. I do however have some nights sweats and my body seems to struggle in regulating its temperature at night. Sometimes I'm hot - moments later I may be chilly. I had daily headaches for the first 2-3 weeks when I started the lupron - but the headaches were mild - mostly a nusance. I'm not sure if I gained wieght. If I did, it was not much. I have had a little trouble sleeeping. And my bones feel sort of weak. My eyes have been exceptionally dry, but nothing eye drops can't rememdy. My breasts have shrunk slightly. I find that my moods are okay, but when I get angry, I feel Really angry. - which is not characteristic of me. - but I'm not having severe swings.
On a toally positive note, the lupron made an immediate difference in the pain I experienced from my endometriosis. I didn't realize the number of days I'd be in considerable pain - until that pain was gone. Not having a period for several months has been wonderful. - although, no one told me this - the first month I had my final period and it was exceptionally heavy and the pain from it was worse than usual. However since then, no periods and no pain.
I was afraid to try this drug because of all the horror stories. But, I've done okay and if this can keep the endometriosis away, it'll have been worth it.
I'd recommend to others that they try the 1 month shots to start. That way you can stop after a month if the side effects are too unbearble.

I've just finished out 7 days of Levaquin.
The only side effect I experienced was some unusual cramping of my calves after working out.
I had a little trouble getting to sleep. Of course, I may have been slightly influenced by the side effects listed here. I don't know.
I just wanted to note that I only took 250mg /day.
Maybe 500 mg is too much.

other than a little trouble getting my day started from fatigue, Seroquel has been wonderful for me. I was diagnosed with postpartum psychosis 9 months ago, and after inpatient treatment plus medication, have been great. I do not worry about unimportant things the way I used to. My happiness has more to do with becoming a Christian than the meds, but physically I am able to exercise and take care of my family with very little trouble. Advice to those with fatigue-go to bed early. I take my meds around 8 or so usually, once my kids are in bed. That way I make time for the 10 to 12 hrs of sleep I need on the meds. If I want to stay up late, I make arrangement with my husband to help me with the kids the next day.
