i have been on Lorazepam for almost 7 months now- I've been weaning off for 3 months. i just want to warn everybody and anybody how physically addicting these pills are. not in the sense where u want to abuse them, but in the sense when it wears off your body goes through wicked withdrawal. It also can cause more anxiety! it causes memory loss, mood swings, depression, ADDICTION, extreme fatigue, headaches, feeling like your in a dream, light headedness... and it goes on from there. Never let a doctor say its ok to take this on a daily basis. this medication should only be taken as needed, for example: only when a panic attack is coming on or happening.
I feel very strongly about this subject because many people, including myself, are misinformed. i have been going through hell being on this medication AND its even worse trying to get off of it.

I have posted on this site several times in the last month.
I'm going on my 7th monthh of suffering. No improvement at all. Today is another nightmare. Shaking, weakness in legs so bad can barely walk. Moaning, dizziness, etc.
I have been noticing increasing difficulty in typing on the net with many errors. Must stop and edit way more frequently than before this malady.
Just looked at myself in the mirror. My hair has turned "completely grey" since this started. What color I had is gone! Starting to turn white!
Man, 7 months...and it just seems to get worse in many ways. Doctors don't want to see me for two months. Say it is "not" the Levaquin I took for one week when all this started.
I am surviving only on the anti-depressant Lexipro and anti-anxiety meds Lorazapam and Clonazapam.
Dear God.

Post your symptoms since stopping Yasmin!!!
Hey everyone it's Kay21 here and I just wanted to post my 3 month off Yasmin update. Because stopping the pill is a hard decision, I figured we should all post are updates here to help/support those who are planning to stop or who have recently stopped Yasmin.
I have been off of Yasmin since April 17. As some of you already know, I was experiencing horrible side effects while on Yasmin for 3 years (particularly stomach problems, vaginal dryness, muscle cramps, increased blood pressure and heart rate and anxiety).
The first 1 month off of Yasmin was okay. In fact, I felt the best I had ever felt in a while. My blood pressure and heart rate decreased and the migraines and muscle cramps went away. But when I hit the 2 month (8 week) mark, I felt HORRIBLE. I was severely depressed and anxious. I was crying all the time and felt a severe sense of DOOM! The physical symptoms also started to become problematic. The acne increased and I started growing more facial hair. The worse symptom, however, was that I started losing a ton of hair. I would lose stray hairs all day (probably about 200 a day). Since I have hit the three month mark, the hair loss has gotten MUCH WORSE! Now I am losing CLUMPS of hair all day. I have seen several doctors about this. Some say it's because of stress and a few (a derm, GYN and endo) say that hiar loss is common after stopping bcp. I have already loss about 1/3 of my hair.
I am also really concerned, because I have not had a period since April 22. So my doctor has put me on provera for 10 days to induce a period.
For those who have stopped Yasmin, what have your symptoms been (i.e. increased acne, weight gain, anxiety, etc.). Has anyone experienced hair loss? How long did it take to get a period???
Thanks...

Will turn you into an emotionless, lethargic, drunk, apathetic zombie that has no more creative or human spark than a turnip does. Throw this crap in the garbage - NOW! I was prescribed this devil spawn drug from a PAIN MANAGEMENT doctor who told me it would help potentiate the Tylenol 3's he gave me. Drink a case of whiskey and smoke a crack rock the size of a buick and you'll essentially reach the point I was at after one of these pills. I started saying crazy things to my Girlfriend, started rearranging the refrigerator, slept for 10 hours (and I normally only sleep 4-6 hours) and woke up with these thoughts in my head like "What am I doing with my life? Nothing is going right, Everything I touch turns to hell". By about 10:30 in the morning at work, it finally started coming out of me and I started waking up and realized just how bad it was. DO NOT take this medication unless you are so severely psychotic that you simply can't make yourself stop killing squirrels. Why the hell a DOCTOR would prescribe this evil in pill form for Pain Management is so far beyond me, it's like wiping before you poop, just don't make no sense.
