I am 37, and developed a DVT in my left calf possibly due to birth control pills. I was tested for Factor 5 Leiden and since I was positive that may have been a contributing factor as well. Waking up in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning with excruciating pain was a daily occurrence and finally after 2 weeks of Lovenox injections and warfarin the pain subsided. I still experience post thrombotic pain in the back of my leg three months after starting the medication. My INRs are inconsistent and my doctor keeps changing my dosage. I have been avoiding all food that that can interact with the meds, it is extremely irritating. I have been doing an hour of low impact exercise daily and am looking forward to when I can finally go jogging and increase my cardio workouts. I can't wait till I can finally be off the medication it affects everything I do.

I am a 54yr old male and recently I have had a low impact fall and

fractured my Tibia and Fibia (the bones below in my knee on my left

leg) and also dislocated my foot at the same time. The surgeons

were most interested to find out that I have had Kenalog injections

for hayfever for the last 35 years. Two years ago the doctors

refused to prescribe Kenalog anymore as they said it can cause a

thinning of the bones. I was not told of these side effects

previously.
The surgeons said that I have osteoporosis as I had only had a low

impact fall. So I would be interested if anyone else has been

diagnosed with osteoporosis due to this Corticosteroid injection.

Having been informed of the side effects of this medicine I would

have not had it. I would advise anybody to seriously consider the

side effects before taking this product.

I took singulair for 5 years while I was in college. From ages 18-23. I had violent mood swings and anxiety (which I attributed to the stress of school, but very uncharacteristic for me), I had vivid night mares, hyperactivity, and worst of all extreme joint pain with tingling in extremities. I am now 26 and I still suffer from joint pain, tingling extremities and night mares, my mood swings and anxieties are lessened but are still present and I make a concious effort to quell them. My hands, knees, wrists, fingers, spine and hip make me feel like and octegenarian (an 80 year old). The pain is so great that I must eat 800mg or more of ibuprofen a day. I am too young to have these issues and I have cared for my joints well with lots of low impact excercising and glucosamine chondroiten. I am glad that I found this site, it explains my severe pain for the past 7 years. I am going to talk to my doctor first and then my lawyer. Class action law suit here I come!!
