Lowering blood pressure symptoms and conditions

Has anyone out there who has been on lisinopril gotten very sore tender breasts? I recently increased the dose from 10mg. to 15 mg. because my BP was getting higher and it seems like I've had this stinging aching sensation in my breasts since then? I've also had a tickling cough since I've been on it--worse at night.

Hello all thanks very much for your comments on this drug. I need help quickly. My father is 55 years old and the Doctor have him taking this drug Lisinopril. I am 20 weeks pregnant & was prescribed Labetalol 200 mg 2 times a day and about 15 minutes after taking it I began experiencing some of the worst breast/nipple pain imaginable. It felt like someone was ripping my nipples off. I am so glad to see other people have had this side effect too, because it was not listed on my side effects sheet.

59 year old female, overweight.

My nightmare with 40 mg. Lisinopril started 3 months ago with the dry, hacking cough which got bad enough for me to gag & left me short of breath. I stopped this med completely after reading the horror stories here. Had little effect in lowering blood pressure.

I felt achy all over - thought I had the flu or a nagging cold which wouldn't let go, yet no temperature or other symptoms. Been coughing for 3 months. Some numbness in left hand fingers. Very tired all the time with no desire to do anything.

Depression got much worse, I felt like I was dying or had cancer and just felt like I wanted to end it all to get relief.

Had moving chest pains and some pain in left arm. Bad stomach/intestinal pains with bloating, gas & cramps. Some dizziness & light-headed feelings.

Reading the posts on this forum has been a Godsend; I wish I had found it sooner. My mom just got a prescription for Lisinopril; I told her to not take it - it's poison. Referred her to this page. When I read the same symptoms over & over on these pages, this is a red flag. Only wish the doctors would take heed of this - in fact I plan to tell my doctor tomorrow to come here & read these postings - they are an eye opener and could well save others from the horror of Lisinopril.

I'm planning on weaning myself off all prescription meds and start an herbal/alternative lifestyle. I stopped this stuff cold turkey when I read all the posts here & am feeling somewhat better altho I still have the nagging cough. Truth to tell I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I have been taking 20 mg. of Lisinopril for over two month. I notice that I have been experiencing shortness of breath and dizziness, and bronchitis. and a cough. I went to see a doctor and She said that was causing these symptoms was the Lisinopril. I have been taking celery seed extract and by the grace of God. I have seen my blood pressure go down. I believe we need to seek God to give us directions and wisdom when it comes to our health and many other issues.

I must have an angel watching over me, because for the life of me I do not know how I came across this website. I have been taking lisinopril 20mg with HCTZ12.5 for about 2 years. I have felt like I was going to have a heart attach, the bloating is driving me nuts, tired because lack of sleep and some times just plain can't sleep at night, leg cramps and now my vision seems to be getting worse. I have had all the symptoms at one time or another. I am going to be 57 years old in October and I am about 30-35 over weight. But I do walk and ride my bike and do other exercises. We just did a very small job landscaping and I could hardly walk or lift my arms for about 4 days. Muscles were so sore. And I didn't do that much to have that my muscles ache that badly. On both sides of my ankles are like little fat pockets, the doctor said it was not water retention, I now have swelling under my eyes. ??? Thank you to everyone for being posting. I recently forgot to take my medication on a 3 day vacation and when I got home I feeling pretty darn good, as soon as I started taking the meds for 2 or so days I was back to feeling that yuky feeling
