I am currently taking levaquin for a sinus and double inner ear infection, i have also taken this antibiotic before,i am 35 years old. I think this drug works wonderfully and tell the doctor this drug works the best for me.i have noticed a harder time falling asleep if i take it too late in the evening and some mild stomach cramping if i do not eat at least 2 hours prior to taking it.i also take it with a full glass of water.some of the side affects listed in this blog that people are describing are normal if you read your insert that comes with the medication. And if you follow the directions and eat and drink with a full glass of water the side effects are not as severe.Unless you are allergic to the drug,i do not find it bothersome knowing i will not be taking it forever and it is just temporary that i will be having a hard time falling asleep.i do eventually fall asleep. My suggestion while taking this medication if you are in reasonably good health,is to read the directions about eating and drinking plenty of water and don't panic, that just makes things worse.

Not sure my story applies to most women, but I'm having to take a double dose every day because I haven't stopped bleeding since my son was born in April. I'm scheduled for an ablation which I am not happy about. This is a procedure which is supposed to stop the bleeding permanently. They actually burn the blood vessels inside the uterus to seal them off. I just wish the bleeding would stop on its own like it's supposed to. It finally did stop after a week of taking Femcon fe, 2 at a time and so after three weeks I cut it down to one a day - hoping nothing would happen, but I started bleeding again the second day. I guess I should count my lucky stars that I'm not having migraines. But the nausea and bloating and extreme fatigue and depression are what made me find this site. I've also gained weight - even since starting to exercise again! Seems like every couple of days I just hit a wall and can't carry on any more. Im lucky to have a supporting husband who takes over the care of the house and kids for a few hours while I have a meltdown and some rest! I have two more weeks to go and I'm really hoping to never have to look at another birth control pill again! What the heck was the point of having my tubes tied during my c-section if I have to take pills anyway AND get my uterus messed with? Right now I feel pregnant all over again -- just without the wonderful package at the end of it!

I have no idea what most of you are saying. My son has cronic severe asthma and there have been times where he has been close to dying. He is 8 yrs old and been through a lot more than most people have been their entire lives. He has been on singulair for about 6 or 7 yrs now and he hasn't any problems with side effects that any of you are talking about. Before he was put on singulair controlling his asthma was almost impossible. For the parents who have not given ao have just stop giving their children their medication just like that. You should talk to you doctors because I know first hand how dangerous asthma can be. If any parent has ever had to rush their child to the ER and then you child was put into the icu for weeks at a time. You will think you lucky stars there is a medicine like singulair out there. Thank You for letting me share my story.
