October of 2006....I could not get out of bed. My shoulders were hurting so bad,I could not move my arms.I was stiff and in pain. The month of December, I was mostly in bed, missed a lot of work , I felt really bad.
Today, my shoulders are stiff and burning.Still every muscle in my body hurts. Some days I feel like I was run over by a mac truck.
It hurts to hold my head up.

I went to the doctor for a cough and he perscribed Levaquin. He gave me 2 sample pills and an Rx for 5 more. I took the first one and started feeling achy which I just attributed to laying in bed too long. I took the next one the next day and the pain in my upper back and hips was amplified by 100! I had soreness in my eye sockets and just an overall feeling like I'd been run over by a mac truck. I also had dihrreah (sp) I am calling my doctor with this information and I am NOT filling the Rx for the extra 5. I'd rather let this thing run it's course or get another antibiotic. NOT a fan of this antibiotic and would recommend anyone using it be very careful and listen to their body.

I am so glad to know that people are sharing their side effects for ultracet. I have been on ultracet for about 5 weeks and it has been very helpful to help me move around especially in the morning. I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitus in my left foot and degenerative osteoarthritis which makes me feel like I have been ran over every morning by a MAC truck, but after taking ultracet I am able to function decently-- it doesn't get rid of all the pain, agony, aches or burning in my foot but it does take the edge off and the tension in my face has decreased noticeably and I am able to smile again without being so grumpy and negative about life. Although, I have the itching, anxiety, hallucinations and nightmares of family deaths and massive people dying, I too am afraid of being addicted to this med and believe that I am because--- if I don't take 1-2 pills a day that's when I experience the racing thoughts, fear, eyes feel crossed and my mind definitely feels as if I were on a high of some sort and withdrawals seem to send me spiraling downward. I also take desiryl at bedtime to help me sleep which has been helpful also. I will be speaking to my doctor about something with less side effects, if its possible.

I had been on a prednisone dose pack (not too strong??) about a month ago for a neck injury to take away some inflammation. No side effects to mention and my neck felt tons better. Yesterday I went back to my dentist after 5 days of pain from a root canal. He put me on a prednisone dose pack saying there was some inflammation in the bone, very common, and the prednisone should take care of it. I took my dose yesterday, didn't sleep well (common side effect it seems) but then today my heart is racing and feels like it skips a beat. I have read this happening to folks on much higher doses, anyone have this kind of side effect with 20 mg/day?
