I am so relieved to know that I'm not turning into some crazed basket case!
I've been on nuvaring for over 2 years. In the beginning, I couldn't believe the product...it was phenomenal! Put it in, and forget about it! Also, skipping periods was never so easy! I never spotted...just inserted a new ring and went on my merry way!
Well, that all changed about a year ago. I was planning my wedding, so I chalked my moodiness and depression on this huge event (of course! makes sense, right?). Time went on, and the feelings have not dissipated. I have always been a very emotional "in tact" female...a tuff Texas girl! I've had management jobs where my even keel disposition has been key to my success. Now, I'm afraid I'm going to breakdown at work...that would be BAD...really bad.
Also, my weight has been a thorn in my side. Although, I am not a big girl (135#), I'm bigger than I'd like (used to be 125). And, what's up with the belly pooch!? NEVER in my life have I had a belly that pokes out like this! I work out 4-5 x a week and eat healthy (yes healthy, you skeptics). My breasts have blown up like the Macy's day parade which my husband is all for, but I'm, quite frankly, getting a little scared of them:)
I am taking my nuva out on Sunday, and I CANNOT wait!! I want to go back to my fun, happy-go-lucky self.
BTW!! - To you men reading these entries with a girlfriend or wife that has recently turned into a crazy loon...stay strong for your lady. My husband has been an amazing man. I know he's wanted to get in his car and run away a couple times, but he has stuck by me. And I'm about to rock his world with my new and improved sex drive (when it decides to come back).
Best of Luck and I'll see you lovely ladies on the other side!!

Started taking Advair in 2003. It helped, I stayed on and off of it for the first year. Then found myself growing more reliant. Last month I added Singulair and Flonaise to the mix. Kaboom! Last night I took myself to the Emergency Room! I was sure I was experiencing a heart attack this time. Blood pressure soaring 198/120. Chest, head, jaw and back pain. Indigestion intesifing signaling all the nightmares. Restless, sleepless night anxious days. My voice has changed, sinusitis increasing, even sleep disorders.
I feel like a Macy's Thanksgiving Baloon stuck in the electric wires (inflated and electrified) Over the last 3 years I've gained 50lbs, and started having occasional anxiety attacks. Personal circumstances brain washed me into thinking that I was bringing it all on myself. Yeast infections, yep gotten them and given them.
I'm done! Over! This purple disc is going to kill me~ going to see the allergists this week.

My husband started with the lupron in July 2003 (he gets a shot every 4 months) for prostate cancer. Happpy to report that the tumor has reduced and his PSA count is now normal, but the side affects of lupron are numerous. He is always hot, and we have a batttle of the covers at night, constant muscle pain in legs and back, very moody and its not natural to see a man cry so easily, because he had 90% of his thyroid removed and is taking thyroid replacement therapy (snythroid), for some reason he is so off balance, which seemed to have improved when he first started taking snythroid. He can't remember anything and is very unsteady on his feet. We live in NY City and his lawyer's office is in the city right across from Macy's Dept. Store in Herald Square. He gets really paranoid when we go to the city and holds onto me like a three year old. I am thankful that the lupron is helping him as far as the cancer is concerned but the side affects of taking this drug are numerous. My husband's breast are almost as large as mine and he complains constantly of soreness. He is just a mess to say the least. The doctor says he has to continue the shot until there is no trace of the cancer and the tumor is completely gone. This does not sound good to either of us. Our lives has changed so dramatically.

All that I can say is anyone taking this medication, be prepared. I am 24 years old and was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I was in a severe flare up and was prescribe Prednisone. I looked like a balloon in the Macy's parade. Along with looking like I was 500 lbs in the face I was a woman on a rampage. I would blow up at the drop of a hat. I could not sleep, I was not the person to be around. Even after I was taken off of it, it took some serious time for me to be back to my normal self. This is an absolutely HORRIFIC drug and whomever invented it should be jailed for what it does to the people taking it.
