My freiends I have been diagnosed with everything disease a person can have over the past ten years. I have taken every single anti dep... and alot of other meds that make me misreable. I am convinced that most Dr do not have a clue what they are doing. Im not a Dr but heres a question. If the meds don't really do that much for you why are you taking them still. Ever notice how Dr will increase your dose and encourage you against your own will to stay on them. God the years ive wasted trying to medicate a problem that cant be medicated. Its a soul sickness.. I call it the hidden life of SELF. Dr say that we need to take care of it, we need to help it and we need to make it feel good. but I tell you this Self is a slave to all sorts of desires and lusts that carry spritual power over the faculities of my soul,,, Ie the mind will and emotion. are you one of those who is always doing the very thing that you don't want to do.. Have you ever wondered why,, have you every thought that it is going to take God himself to rid of the self inside that never has enough. Self is a bottomless pit. I do believe in mentel illness but I believe it is caused when a person fights in the mind and in there thinking and reasoning against the spirtual lust in the body. It is this battle that we will always lose ineviatably that makes us manifest the symptoms of mentel illness. there is a way out... THE CROSS AND THE WORD "GET IT IT AND EXCHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR CHRISTS

I think it's important to keep perspective. There are people reading this forum who have just started Levaquin or it has just been prescribed to them. Keep in mind that everyone posting here did so because they had problems with Levaquin.

There are far more people who have taken it with little or no side effects, and chances are, you will be one of those people. I just completed a 10 day course of 250mg for acute kidney infection, and experienced no side effects at all.

I have no doubt that this drug does have extremely horrible side effects for some, but listen to the diagnosis for many of these people. Sinusitis? It's the most common diagnosis in doctors' offices each day. And many foolish doctors are prescribing something this strong for sinusitis. Thousands of people start this medication each day, and most will not have problems. If everyone had problems, you'd see thousands of posts each day, a class-action lawsuit would have been organized, and the drug would be off the market.

Eventually this WILL happen, but because the side effects happen to so few people, it will take years to amass enough participants to make it worth the expense an attorney will have to front to take on the company.

This is what really scares me. Reading page after page of awful side effects can actually cause someone to manifest these side effects phychosomatically in their body. So if you're reading this after just having started Levaquin, DON'T LET YOUR IMAGINATION GET OUT OF CONTROL. It's not likely that you'll experience what these people have.

If you do, be responsible, report it to your doctor and to MedWatch.

I am interested to learn more about the emotional or psychological side effects of prednisone. I have read or heard about the following: depression, anxiety, mood swings, hallucinations, moral or ethical misjudgment (e.g., proneness to disregard good judgment regarding alcohol, drug use, sexual behavior, etc.), suicidal ideation. Has anyone any anecdotal information regarding these side effects and at what dosage did they manifest themselves?

I have been taking Wellbutrin 300 XL for a little over a year. My doctor had prescribed it for my persistent anxiety. In general, I felt overwhelmed by the extent of the daily duties I had imposed on myself (which was always more than I could possibly acheive). For the first few months I felt great. I was much more relaxed and focused and the only side effect I experienced was a slight ringing in the ears. But after my third or fourth month on this medication the ringing in my ears grew progressively worse and I started noticing other side effects. I began having recurrent headaches (which, at 33 years of age, I had never before experienced) as well as fatigue, achiness, dizziness, and insomnia. In the past month I have begun to experience tremors and twitching. I tend to feel as though I am jerking my head or hands when I initiate movement and my eyes twitch almost incessantly (which is extremely distracting). The ringing in my ears seems to grow louder each day and my worsening insomnia only intensifies my fatigue and achiness. I have also noticed those old feelings of being anxious and overwhelmed creeping back in. Wellbutrin seems ideal in the short run but over time its benefits begin to wear off while side effects continue to manifest and become more pronounced. My advice to anyone considering taking this drug would be to start on the lowest dose possible and maintain an awareness of the side effects as they appear.
