wellbutrin is bullshit. I should have never started taking it. All pharmaceutical drugs are just the fdas ploy to make massive amounts of money. Id rather smoke a f***g cigarette and die at 60 then feel like a tired unmotivated piece of shit while im on wellbutrin.

I was absolutely miserable on lupron. It all started with a softball sized cyst on my L. ovary that burst and landed me in the hospital from the pain. I didn't even know it was there! The Dr. went in to take it out with the scope, and told me that I had stage 3 endometriosis. I never had any pain, so I find it hard to believe that I even had endo. At any rate, he told me in order for it not to come back, I would have to go on Lupron. He told me I may have some hot flashes and vaginal dryness..I read the brochure on it and I thought the side effects would be worth saving my reproductive tract.
I gained 30 lbs during my 4 months on lupron. The hot flashes were terrible, I would have 2 or 3 in an hour, drip sweat, and then freeze. The vaginal dryness was so bad it itched internally, I had to use massive amounts of lube to have sex--which was nearly impossible because my boyfriend couldnt stand to sleep with me constantly moving around, dripping sweat, throwing blankets on and off. I began to have anxiety attacks and terrible mood swings.
I wouldn't recommend this medication to anyone, ever. I was on the monthly dose, refused to stay on the medication after 4 months (June), and just finally got my period a few days ago. I still get occasional hot flashes, especially during or after drinking alcohol. I am doing about an 1 1/2 hours of cardio a day, besides using my bike for transportation, eat clean 90% of the time, and weight train a few days a week. The scale is not budging and I've been at that for about 6 weeks. It is frustrating to say the least. Does anyone know how long it takes your body to get back to normal??

I have been taking this medication for 6 days for a UTI. I feel like crap and haven't been able to work. Thank goodness I don't have hives or anything else. But my stomachs is cramping really bad and I have been acting like an evil $%#@&, I also have the worst stiff neck. Anyways I was extremely nauseated and felt like I was pregnant but I have a prescription for pot and it seems to help the majority of the side effects. Massive amounts of water will take away the anxiety. I am going to wean myself slowly starting tomorrow and I will never take this drug again.

It is scary to read everyone's posts on this drug. I also had two shots of Kenalog within the past 3 months for a problem in my cervical spine. I had mild side effects from the first shot, but since the second one, the side effects have gotten more severe. I've gained 15 lbs (and I've been on a strict diet so there's no reason to have gained that weight). Also, after the second shot I had absolutely excruciating joint pain in my knees and ankles, my face is puffy, I have a hump on my back in between my shoulders, my resting heart rate is up at about 108, and I have random stretch marks on my thighs. I believe that all of these side effects are from the Kenalog because I've always been very healthy and in excellent shape and have never had health problems until now. My dr. did all kinds of blood tests and an EKG and everything came back normal, which also tells me the problems are from the drug. This shot was the biggest mistake of my life! My dr. is still insisting that my problems aren't from the shot and he wanted to do a third injection. I said ABSOLUTELY NO! I went and got a second opinion, and my new dr. said that all of these side effects are from the massive amounts of Kenalog that was pumped into my spine and I'm on a new treatment plan. I am against these types of injections. It has caused me more harm then good.

I am 23 years old and I have never used a birth control besides NR which I have been on for 2 years. My first few weeks of being on it were almost disastrous. I was having symptoms of a UTI, but Planned Parent Hood told me that my tests were not showing that I had any infection. They offered to treat me with a generic antibiotic for UTI, but I didn't want to use antibiotics if I didn't need to. I asked them if my symptoms could have anything to do with the NR, they said impossible. A week later I was in the hospital with a UTI and kidney infection. It took me weeks of best rest and 3 antibiotics to be well again. The first antibiotic they put me on had no effect on me at all, but they made me keep taking it once I started. I discovered by myself that my UTI and my kidney infection were due to a tiny piece of lint that had gotten stuck to my Nuva Ring. The bacteria on it had climbed up the uretha and turned into a kidney infection. None of the doctors even thought to have me check if something like that could be the source of the infection. I was told that if I had waited any longer to come into the hospital that my kidney's would have failed/collapsed. I had E. coli and another bacteria growing in my kidney's. It took me weeks of best rest and 3 antibiotics to be well again. If you are on the NR, please take it out after sex and examine it and rinse it off. Bacteria will cling to it!
Other than that experience I have noticed many side effects mentioned by others here: random moodiness, fits of crying coming out of no where, PMS symptoms can be two weeks long for me, increased irritability with my boyfriend, massive amounts of white lumpy discharge all month long, itchiness, multiple UTIs, bacterial vaginitus, random painful stabbing sensation in the vaginal area, increased dryness during sex, major lack of sex drive, painful breasts (which have increased in size, not complaining there), extreme swelling of the vaginal walls during and after sex. No matter how much precaution I take with cleanliness before and after sex this will randomly occur. There is so much swelling some times that wearing loose cotton underwear even hurts with all of the sensitive skin exposed. Walking really hurts! The cost of the Nuva Ring is also a problem. My insurance doesn't cover birth control and it costs me $60 a month to get the NR.
I am strongly considering going off of it. I do like the fact that I do not have to worry about taking pills or getting shots. In that sense this is a great alternative! I also only bleed for 3 days with a little spotting on the 4th day. I do not have cramps. I really like the idea that this is a low dosage of hormones localized right where it will be most effective, but I am getting concerned about what it may do to my body long term.
There is new research coming out that shows that our brain's ability to sense pheromones (which are nature's way of telling us if some one is a good match for us or not), is altered when we use birth control and that this can lead women to fall in love with some one that may not be a good genetic match for a mate. In the larger scheme of things this means that children coming from these couples may have weaker genetics. Very disturbing.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in June and had to take 60mg/day for about a month. Then my doctor tapered me off it so I took 40mg/day for a week, then 30 for a week, then 20, then 10. I stopped taking Prednisone altogether about three weeks ago but have noticed little change in my weight. I gained 17 pounds over the two months I was taking Prednisone and my doctor said it should 'melt away' quickly but it has yet to do so. I've lost a little of the moon-face so that's good but the extra weight is driving me crazy and nothing I do seems to help me lose it. Anyone hava any idea how long it will take to get back to normal?

Short term memory loss. Slowed reflexes. Mental foggieness. Whenever a dose is missed even by a few hours, severe rebound effects in the form of anxiety that feels similar to consuming massive amounts of caffine. I am taking 50 mg/per day of Toprol XL.

I'm 18 years old and I have been taking high doses of prednisone for over 3 years for a blood disorder known as hemolytic anemia. At one point I was taking 80mg a day. I am now on 30mg a day. It is unknown whether my body will ever be able to function without the steroids and chemotherapy has even been suggested by one doctor. The difficulty of having massive amounts of weight gain (30 lbs. in 3 months) during high school was virtually unbearable. In addition to that, I now have to take 2 antidepressants to counter the mood swings and depression that the prednisone causes.

I HAD A SHOT IN MY HIP LAST FALL FOR SEASONAL ALLERGIES. A WEEK AFTER MY FIRST NORMAL PERIOD I BEGAN THREE GOING ON FOUR WEEKS OF VERY HEAVY BLEEDING. I FINALLY WENT TO MY OB GYN AND HE SAID HE SEES THIS PROBLEM ON A REGULAR BASIS. THE KENALOG TOTALLY WIPES OUT A FEMALES HORMONE BALANCE. I HAD TO TAKE DOUBLE DOSES OF BITH CONTROL PILLS FOR TEN DAYS TO GET THORUGH MY VACATION AND RE-SET MY CYCLE. I AM NOW ANEMIC FROM THE BLOOD LOSS AND TAKING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF IRON. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN I HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. COULD THIS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE SHOT THREE MONTHS LATER?

Why oh why (oh why) are so many people here taking Lisinopril for high blood pressure?
I thought ACE inhibitors were mainly for heart damage. That's why I'm taking it. Why not take something like Atenolol for high blood pressure? It's generic, has minimal side effects, and really lowers the bp; there are a range of beta-blockers you can choose from for your own chemistry; plus a small dosage works wonders; really drops it.
It seems you're all taking massive amounts of Lisinopril for something it's not meant for when a little Atenolol or other drug would do much more.
Really curious about this. I know Lisinopril lowers bp but... it's not what it's really for. I think the lowering is a side-effect mostly. Anyone ever looked into this, thought about it, asked their doctors?

I have been taking Armour for a couple of weeks now and although I feel better my hair and eyelashes are falling out in massive amounts. I read side effects online and it said this should stop after awhile. Does my hair grow back normal then or is it permanently thinner?
